Skirt Sports Women''s Race Belt Skirt

I love this Skirt Sports skirt. Even though it''s touted for triathlons, I use it for all kinds of casual sporting: cycling, running, boot camp,etc. It covers my (decent) rear and allows me to move about town or home without feeling like I''m over exposed. I usually wear it with capris-note that it is just the skirt, no shorts built in. I like it because it''s just long enough to cover, but not too long or swing-y to where I feel like I have a regular mini-skirt on over my capris or too much going oneven on the bike. I''m sure my layering is a lot more than most have going on, but I am a modest athlete and comfortable with a few more layers like this, even on some pretty hot Midwest summer days. The grippy stuff on the waistband really keeps it in place and hasn''t worn off yet-I''ve never had it twist or ride up or down even during the cycling or boot camp class. It has built in snaps for number bibs, but I''ve not been to a race yet where the holes on the bib are actually the same width apart as those on the skirt. No matter to me, though, as I prefer to wear my number bibs on my tum and let everyone take in the cuteness of the skirt/belt. There are no envelope or zipper pockets you get just the skirt with the cute, slightly split side hem.

I love this skirt. I didn''t really buy it for the race belt bit...I bought it to cover up my tighter running shorts and capris...which I like since they don''t ride up and chafe, but hate because I don''t like the tight ''exposure''...this is a great cover for that reason.

The skirt is the perfect length and the grip waistband doesn''t move at all. My only problem with this skirt is the part that makes it a race belt. It is too narrow to fit a race number without altering it. If you are looking to buy this to hold your race number, this may not be the skirt for you, but I love it and would buy it again.

I ordered this prior to a race and it arrived in time. However, the sizing was much larger than stated and required alterations. The snaps were extremely difficult to unsnap and one of the snaps had a sharp edge which cut my finger.

This skirt is very cute and well made. It grips nicely to my leggings and covers enough so that I am comfortable jogging to the store and going in... without flashing folks. It is a nice flirty length without being too much. The reason it got 4 stars instead of 5 is that the snaps and extra fabric to hold your entry number are right where I don''t want extra fluff. This skirt adds a bit to the tummy pooch. Other than that, I love it and expect to get other colors!
