Warm, comfortable, fairly heavy weight, downside: a bit pricey. Most Icebreaker products are great, although another pair of lighter wieght socks got a hole after only 1 year, seems less than durable.

These are by far the best socks I have ever owned. I live in Michigan and winters here are cold and humid which equals cold clammy feet. That is...until I found these. Long story short, these keep my feet warm and dry. Even when my feet start to feel chilled they always feel dry. I usually wear them around the house with slippers and, most of the time, my feet feel hot but they never get sweaty...just like a nice dry furnace! It is heaven!I like them so much I let my mom borrow a pair when she came over a couple weeks ago. We were going out to dinner and she was wearing little slip-on shoes and the snow started coming down hard! She laughed at first (she was skeptical) but by the time we got back to my house from dinner she asked me to order a few pairs for her. She had me order them before she left and then asked if she could borrow mine until hers came. It says a lot for the socks because my mom always buys what she considers "the best" of everything.
As far as fit, they fit true to size and they fit well because of the anatomical foot design. These socks have a left and a right foot with "L and "R" specifications on the toe so you don''t have to spend any time trying to figure it out if you''re in a hurry. They are an over the calf length and they don''t fall down but they aren''t too tight either.

These socks kept me warm and dry through the deepest snow and coldest days. I love that they were knee high as they provided extra warmth for my lets. I''d definitely recommend.
