I got a lemon right out of the box. I got the same speed errors that Pausanius had on his 7.35 model. Paying for it brand new, I called Smooth asking for a replacement. No matter how hard I tried, they refused and eventually agreed to send out a technician. Two weeks later, a Smooth technician showed up and said he would order a new motherboard. No part arrived after a month. I sent them several emails and BCC''ed myself for future references, no email reponse from Smooth! I called and was put on hold for 30 minutes. Eventually, a support guy answered the phone. He said there was a mistake so he had to reorder the part (???) after putting me on hold several more times. The part finally arrived after another two weeks and a Smooth technician came to install it. The speed errors are gone but the belt now squeaks and skips anytime I run over 5.0 mph. It squeaks so bad that it feels like the whole running deck is falling apart. I wish I had bought the treadmill at some store so now I could drop the "300 lb lemon" right in front of the store.

Thrilled with my purchase. Like other reviewers, it came down to this make and model or the Sole f80. i did a lot (A LOT) of research between the two and finally decided on the Smooth. What sold me was the warranty, the Runners World Recommendation, the countless other positive reviews for this machine and all of their models, and the price. i really didn''t want to spend over $1000 for a treadmill, but I didn''t want a treadmill i would have to replace in 5 years either. the longer running belt is a perk, wasn''t used to all the space at first but now i can kind of spread out without worry of slipping too far back. the speakers are alright, they''re decent enough. Fan is of good speed, controls for incline and speed respond quickly, screen is big and easy to read. Very basic screen which is perfect for me. Comes with heart rate sensor, which my husband uses and likes because he can make a custom workout based on heart rate. I havent used any of the preset programs, i like to fiddle with the speed and inclines on my own right now, but i am looking forward to trying them out in the future. very sturdy machine, hardly any bounce or movement at all, even when my 6 foot 200 pound husband is hoofing it on 7.5. Really absorbs the impact. I have run on incline of 10 and performed great. Husband put it together himself in about hour, taking his time. Instructions were straight forward and easy to follow. need 2 people to move it at delivery time, but quite manageable to put together by oneself once in place. I think what sold me on this machine was reading that, if one is a serious runner (or strives to be), not to purchase a treadmill because of the bells and whistles but on the solidness of the machine itself. This model has a powerful motor which is needed for those on the taller or heavier size and for those who plan to use machine frequently. Warranty cant be beat, makes buying a treadmill from an online company feel a little bit more secure. This treadmill is quite large, it''s actually huge, but it does fold up and has a slow let down so you don''t have to bend to bring deck down. Even when folded, it takes up a lot of space but thats the extra long deck. I think it''s worth it. Especially if you are in the 6 foot range or have a long stride. Check out runners world for unbiased comments on this machine. I have been running about 12-15 miles a week now and have had machine for about 2 months and i love it. Would recommend and would buy again, only sooner! I would buy from Smooth website, and google some promo codes or coupons... I got a great deal in addition to free shipping and no tax so give it a try.

Revieved shipment at 4:30 PM, was running by 5:45!!!!
I was able to assemble this with the "disposable" tools included...didnt even have to open my toolbox. Quite literally 4 bolts, 4 screws and clipping a few wire harnesses together. The only challenging part was moving the unit into place, as the freight guys would only bring it in uust inside my door. I suggest two people to move it. Very doable!!! Runs like a dream. Unit is very quiet as the name implies, quite smooth. Programs are cool.... Very straight forward operation. I am quite pleased. If you are not tech/tool savvy, take your time and make sure all wire harnesses are connected to their proper mates. The directions are very easy. MANY of the screws listed on the parts list are already on the machine and in place, so dont freak out because they''re not in the bag! Thats all I can think of. OH, this unit is recommended by Runner''s World mag, and it is a goooood recommendation!

The Smooth 6.75 is a decent treadmill. It has a strong motor, easy setup and fairly easy to use interface. My biggest disappointment is that 1) does not have 1 touch speed settings above 6 mph nor does it have it below 3 mph. 2) You can not set the speed prior to engaging the motor and 3 sec countdown. 3) incline and fan does not reset after hitting the reset button. 4) Running bed is a bit stiff and the belt is shedding for some reason (not sure if it is rubbing up against something). and 5) Chest strap heart rate monitor is not accurate. It often says my starting pulse is 120+ beats vs the hand grip pulse 65 beats.

I like this treadmill however, it makes quite a bit of noise while you are running on it and I find this very distracting. It seems like there is no solution to this problem as everything I have tried has failed. I give Smooth Fitness customer service 5 stars. Their staff is very helpful and knowledgeable.
