Lastics: A Stretch Workout Like No OtherAs a former swimmer, ballet and modern dancer, yoga instructor, and gym rat (that was a long time ago..), I am strong and flexible, but I have learned a great deal from "Lastics". I have gone through the entire program no less than 10 times and I continue to be informed as well as go easily deeper in the stretches. The instructor is excellent and her verbal ques are precise and well timed except for one slight imperfection in the standing forward bend section. Her voice is calm and relaxed and, unlike in some stretching/yoga dvds, you can tell she is speaking from long experience--this is not something she studied a little bit and then decided to make into a production. I highly recommend "Lastics" to anyone who is interested in increasing their flexibility, posture, and how they feel from the inside out. If you are really bendy already, watch your hamstring insertions--if it hurts at the back of your thigh where it meets the butt, back off. Have fun.

I''ve never been flexible. I''ve always had a hard time touching my toes. At 31 years old, this DVD has helped me become more limber for my new dance class. I know if I keep it up I''ll be able to really loosen my hamstrings and someday be able to do the splits. I appreciate the way the instructor really explains what you should be doing and feeling along with what you''re NOT supposed to be doing. She really teaches correct form for maximum benefits. The exercise is about an hour long and I really hate stretching (so uncomfortable!) so I grumble throughout the entire time but ALWAYS by the end not only is my body thanking me and so much looser with more range of motion, but I actually stand up straight with great posture without even trying!!! Huge benefits!

I am very active and do some form of cardio at least 5 times a week. Lately I have been experiencing a sciatica flare-up and I thought a good stretch would help.

I did the LASTICS DVD for the first time yesterday and I immediately felt relief in my problem areas. Although I always stretch before and after any aerobic exercise, it is only for about 10 minutes and I now realize I may have been doing more harm than good by not having the correct form.

In this DVD Donna first shows the most common mistakes people make when they stretch and how to correct them. (I must admit, I was often in the "guilty" category) She then goes into the stretch workout, which is done standing, sitting and lying down. The hour flew by!

Donna''s cuing is impeccable. She has a very pleasant and professional demeanor and talks you through each step of the stretch as she demonstrates. Her addition of small adjustments to each position increases the intensity of the stretch very gradually-but you really feel it!

I have a collection of over 100 exercise DVDs and now LASTICS has the place of honor at the top of the stack. This is a phenomenal total body stretch that I will include in my rotation from now on!!! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to increase flexibility and generally feel better.

I bought Lastics along with Full Body Stretch by my regular favorite, Karen Voight.

Lastics is okay, but Voight is far better. On Lastics, there is a lot of explanation which is good the first few times but after that you want to move smoothly through the stretches. There is no menu so you can''t pick sections and it wouldn''t even let me fast forward to another section. Music was low, setting was a studio in front of a couple of radiators. Explanations were very good and stretches were terrific, but overall I''ll stay with Voight who is much more experienced making these workout dvds and does a far better job.

I absolutely love Lastics & this DVD! I had been searching for a stretch workout since flexibility is an issue for me. I am not a fan of yoga and was having a really hard time finding a stretching alternative so when I came across Lastics I was very excited, it is the perfect solution. It takes stretching to a whole new level, one that i didn''t think was possible. Not only do I feel the stretching, but I see an immediate difference in my flexibility before Lastics I could not touch my toes without bending my knees, now I can do it with ease! Donna is great in the video, very charismatic, clearly knows what she''s talking about and explains the subtle movements so that I can follow along and really feel it! Plus, I feel like I''m in a NY studio taking the class along with her, totally authentic and a nice change of scenery.
