Rawlings Neoprene Waist and Back Support with Compression Straps

I got it in time, and am reasonably happy with it, except... it isn''t what''s in the picture. In the picture, it appears to be neoprene with some type of nylon strap. But what I actually got was a simple neoprene wrap. I intended to use the belt -based on the picture -as a light duty lifting belt for general purpose workout. With the heavier duty nylon strap, I thought it would be ideal for most lifts other than squats and deadlifts, etc.

I was going to return it, but I had injured my back the previous week and I started wearing it around the house. And dang it, it seemed to help my back so it got a reprieve. Last week, I finally took it to the gym and when wrapped very tight, it gave my back decent stability for most lifts, and I could wear my heavy belt right over it for heavier lifts. And with the wrap, the edges of the heavy leather belt no longer cut into my skin. So I''m going to keep it. I''m not sure if I''m going to continue to wear it once my back feels better, but since my back throws out with some regularity, it''d be nice to have it around.

BTW, I would''ve given it 4 stars, but took two off for getting me the wrong belt.

Update: Okay, I can''t change it on Amazon, but I''ll add another star. My mother-in-law is using the belt now. She came to live with us for a few months and she has chronic back issues and she says it''s helping alot.

Of course I can never use it again...

No matter. I''ll just order another one. For the price, it is excellent.

I purchased another one. It''s excellent. I would like to amend by rating to 5 stars but Amazon won''t let me. Compression straps come in very handy because it supplements the neoprene wrap at times you need a little extra support. And my leather belt fits right over for heavier lifts like squat and dead lifts.

I had protech, muller, rawlings supporter. Muller has a metal frame inside and is the best support by far. but it has a metal frame and can not wear them on a basketball. so when using in the gym, this one is the best. protech one was well made but can not beat the second set of strap.

Very deceptive picture !! The support wraps i received have a VERY uncomfortable binding on top and bottom, NOT what is pictured in the ad !! I have bought MANY of the old style over the years and they were great, but these are awful!
