Stuhrling Original Men''s 223.335657 Sportsman ''Expedition'' Chronograph Watch

The piece appears to be very sporty and rugged. It has admirable good looks too. Swiss quartz. But be aware that this timepiece is very large and it probably won''t look very good on smaller/thinner wrists. 52.8 mm case diameter converted is about 2 inches and 13.2 mm thickness is also considerable. Personally I prefer watches with a diameter between 37 and 41 mm but for some reason this one appeals to me. So far the piece keeps time reasonably accurate. Nice presentation/packaging. I think about replacing the rubber band with a black leather one to add a bit of class to it.

This watch really is beautiful, if you like strong opposing colors, as I do. It was my first Stuhrling. The packaging and presentation are excellent -anyone opening this and not used to inspired packaging will be very pleased.

I am returning it for a few reasons: I found the crown guard awkward and visually out of place; it may settings difficult to accomplish. Also, this guard must be held up all the while adjustments are being made. The other reason is I found the chrono features a bit hard to use -generally I favor simple, distinctive and bold watches. Unless you have a very small wrist I wouldn''t worry about it size -it is big but not too heavy and watches of this nature are supposed to be a bit on the "in your face" style. I am buying another Sthurling but this time will choose one with more basic features and hopefully find a model that is still striking.
