Danskin Now Yoga Kit

Danskin Now Yoga KitI bought this from my local Walmart in Arizona for $17.00(thank god not $35.00. It has the same packing and is the exact same product.) and I am displeased with my purchase. I saw a review about the mat shedding the consumers first use, and that did not happen to me. Please don''t think I am sticking up for the mat though, because it is of poor quality. I used it once on my tile floor and my knees were KILLING me afterwards. Its poor material and its so thin. I bought I better mat (EverythingYoga Ultra Thick Yoga Mat)for a price close to the $17 I payed for this kit. The mat is wonderful and I recommend you buy it instead if you are buying this kit needing a mat and think getting the other stuff is beneficial because you don''t have them.

The ball that came with is alright. it had a blowing tube enclosed. I am not impressed with the ball.

The resistance band is alright. Smell is not that great.

The cotton strap is a complete waste. The only thing I can say that is good is that its very white. When buckled(i guess that''s what you would say)properly the cotton strap slides. The metal part at the end of the strap it the only thing that keeps it from coming out. I bought a different strap that stays securely buckled.

I have not watched the DVD so no comment there. May be good for all I know.

And lastly, the exercise chart and booklet. The ONLY redeeming quality of this entire kit. Those 2 things are the ONLY reason why this kit doesn''t have 1 star. The Guide talks about a balanced fitness program, setting goals, importance of water consumption, yoga basics and poses, how to use straps and blocks, pilates basics, pilates reformer/band/ball exercises, relaxation, and breathing. The little book is great. I only wish it was in color. The exercise chart is in color and the directions are very descriptive. Has 8 exercises with 2 pictures each.

As nice as the booklet is with its many pictures.......this kit was a waste of $17 and sure as hell a waste fir $35. Just buy individual quality equipment You''ll be better off. I love Danskin Now products so this kit being complete crap was a surprise and huge disappointment.

Do not buy it!

I just purchased this kit. The mat is very thin--less than 3mm. The ball is smaller than pictured and not the same ball. It is of foam and the blow straw does not fit in the hole, nor is there a plug to put in the hole if you manage to blow it up by some other means than the provided straw. I have not watched the DVD, but I will be returning this product to the store where I bought it. It is not worth the $14.99 I paid for it, let alone $35!

The video for the yoga is very dull and disappointing. I have done yoga in the past, yet this video was difficult to follow and the instructor did not explain the moves or make it possible to see various angles to ensure your body was in the correct position. The mat began shedding the first time I used it.

I got this kit for 20 bucks....so that''s that.

The yoga mat sucks. I might as well be on my carpet still. It is too thin, what gets me is that it is way thinner in some parts than others. The yoga strap is fine. The Flex ball I have yet to try out because I still need a way to blow the dang thing up :) OMG the resistance band sucks! Horrible horrible resistance band, it now lives in the trash. I tried to unwrap the thing and it just stuck together like a jumbled mess. It was sticky and not worth the time.

I have since just gone and spent the money on a real yoga mat....soooo much better

I advise you do the same

Want Danskin Now Yoga Kit Discount?

I remember when Danskin used to be a brand you could trust, which is why I chose this kit over many others in the same price range. The mat is paper thin, and even worse, SLIPPERY. Unless you''re doing yoga in cleats do not trust your footing if you don''t want to risk serious injury. The strap, useless. The ball is okay....my kid likes it. And the band gave me a rash. So to review, I almost broke my neck, I itch, and I''m still shopping for mats, but now I''ll be doing it in person instead of online.
