Schiek 2006 Leather Lifting Belt - 6 Inch

Schiek Leather Contour Belt, Smive been lifting for over three years now. 315 to 355 squats and deads. used a few belts that support well but cut into my ribs and hip bones. this is made not to do that and support gut as well as back, which is real important for internal pressure control. safety first because if your hurt your not training!

Belt is manufactured in USA and is very heavy duty and very well made. Although more expensive than the motorcycle kidney belt I have been trying to use, it works and will last much longer than the disposable plastic kind kidney belt.

I got the wrong size and the return procedure is very cumbersome to accomplish. It is also very costly to return it.

Product is by far the best one I have ever had. Comfort, quality, size all met my expectations. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a above average quality lifting belt.

I am a crossfitter and love the the days when we get to do Olympic Lifts. This belt fits the bill perfect. It gives great support and is made very sturdy. The thick leather and big buckle go together well, and does not ride up or slip down. The dual pins in the buckle help with making the belt feel secure, but sometimes I need help to get it tight enough for deadlifts and back squats. It is just now getting broken in and fits better all the time. The size runs pretty true to what you would think you need.

New Balance Women''s Short Sleeve Tech Tee

New Balance Women''s Short Sleeve Tech TeeI really like this t-shirt. The sizing is accurate, the material feels nice and the t-shirt looks nice. Also I love that it dries very quickly so it is perfect for working out. The bottom of the shirt is not straight but oval shaped, so it helps cover the back better when biking for example. Finally It is close fitting in the waist which is an advantage in comparison to just regular shaped straight t-shirt because it does not hide the curves of the body.

Perfect fit, very comfortable while working out. It is one of my favorites, not to tight and goes with all my pants

Canari Women''s Aurora GEL Baggy Short

Canari Women''s Aurora GEL Baggy ShortWhen I bought this item one of the reviews said it was tight, so I ordered one size up, large instead of medium which I always wear. The liner is really tight, even one size up, but the short is oversized. Looks terrible!

I purchased these shorts because I didn''t want to wear the usual tight, stretchy shorts. I ordered my normal size but the waistband feels very tight, without much "give" in the elastic. The inside liner also feels tight and the leg openings ride up the thigh. As for the padding, it seems to help on the bike seat but since overall they are so uncomfortable, it is difficult to feel good in these shorts at all.

Bayou Fitness Total Trainer 4000-XL Home Gym

Bayou Fitness Total Trainer 4000-XL Home GymThis is pretty much a first impressions review.

It arrived earlier than the shipping estimate, and was packaged in a double box. The machine is easy to set up, so easy that the hardest part was actually opening the two layers of boxes.

The TT4000XL is satisfyingly heavily constructed, with steel rails and a well-built padded bench that is both wider and longer than other brands at this price. I* bought the 4000XL "blind," based on online reviews and after trying some competing brands. So far, it has lived up to the positive reviews, and has all the advantages it was touted as having.

Specifically, it is a bit larger than other brands at this price point. The more well-known Total Gym series, in particular, is a little small for me and feels cramped io am 6 feet tall and 180 lbs, the outside limit for the Total Gym until you move up to the $1000 models. The Total trainer, however, doesn;''t feel cramped at all to me, and I really appreciate the heavier, longer, and wider glide bench.

Like most body-weight resistance home gyms, it folds up for easy storage. The wheels/casters are smooth and easy to roll, making it easy for my wife to move the gym around, and either set it up or fold it away for storage. Since it weighs around 90 lbs, I was a little concerned she would not be able to maneuver it, but she has had no problems.

Again, we''ve only had it but a few days, but so far it seems solid, well-built, and sturdy. Based on this machine, I would recommend Bayou Fitness products to any moderate-to-casual home user. This is a high-quality piece of equipment, and offers features like the bar for adding additional weight that are available from other brands only on their much more expensive models. It is a much better machine than the base models other companies offer at this price point.

I purchased this TT and it arrived with a defective glideboard. I contacted BF and they recommended that I change the rollers on the glideboard. When the rollers arrived I noticed a problem while changing the rollers with the glide channel on the glideboard. It was too narrow where the pan head pin was installed. I contacted BF again and they sent me a used glide channel a week later. The used glide channel did not have a pan head pin installed. I contacted BF again and they told me to remove the pin with snap ring pliers.

I believe that with a properly operating glide board, would have made this a good purchase. I did request that the glide board be replaced and they refused. This was the last straw. I returned the TT 4000XL today and I had to pay $55.00 for shipping charges.

I do believe in giving the opportunity for a wrong to be corrected, but BF failed me on this purchase.

I think it is great! It is well constructed, and came with extras of many of the parts that will wear out (rope, pulleys, etc). It comes with 2 DVD''s, a workout booklet, and a manual. Because I had so much reference material,I was confident I was using it correctly and I created a workout routine right away. It come with the handlebar and foot board that only comes with the more expensive total gyms. I believe it is built better than the total gyms in that price range.

I had done much comparison shopping before finally purchasing this model from Amazon. It arrived fully assemble as promised and setup took less than 5 minutes. The unit folds and stores easily, which was important to me because I don''t have enough room for a full size workout machine in my house. The workout video is awesome and ease of use is excellent. I highly recommend this unit over other comparable models simply because you get more bang for the buck!

For the last few years, I''ve been in a struggle with my fitness. I started taking my health and fitness seriously in 2005, after years of sedentary living and a diagnosis of Type 2 diabetes in 1999. At my heaviest, I was 301 pounds at 5'' 8" tall. Not good. When I started working out, I was 275 lbs. Using another piece of recommended equipment (Urban Rebounder) along with a modified diet...I was able to get to 243. In 2007, I was given a clean bill of health. Anyway, at some point, I needed resistance work to tone up. I decided to join the YMCA at a discounted rate. It was nice for a while, but my work schedule only allows me to go early in the morning. Eventually, with the early rising and an unwillingness to get out of bed, you start making excuses not to go. Even at a discounted rate...if you''re only going twice-to-three times a week, it''s a waste of money. So one morning, I say to myself that I lost my weight working out at home. let''s get back on that program. After seeing the Total Gym infomercial, I figured there was someone making a reasonably-priced offshoot. After searching the internet, I came across Bayou Fitness'' line of products and decided on the 4000XL.

It was ready to use right out of the box. As one review stated...that was the hardest part of the set-up. Once out of the box, it was ready to use. In just trying to get familiar with the machine, I was getting a good workout. I''ve had it for about a week and a half, using it almost every day. Because it''s sitting right there, there are no more excuses to make. I am already feeling the burn and seeing and feeling slight changes in my body. I have a LONNNNG way to go, believe me. But I am on my way.

I''ll be canceling my YMCA membership. You can cancel your gym membership too. It''s OK. This is a great piece of equipment. You''ll feel it working, so you will use it. I wish I bought this four years ago,

Jerzees 973 8 oz 50/50 Sweatpants

Jerzees 50/50 Sweatpants - BLACK - X-LargeI was looking for some basic, no frills sweatpants to wear to the gym or around the house on those rare occasions when it gets cold in Houston, TX. After revewing a lot of sweatpants: with pockets, flared legs, stripes, hip hugger style (yikes!)and more, I finally found these. They are very comfortable and warm. They are of a medium weight with a draw-string waist and elastic at the ankles. In short, they''re perfect. I like them so much, I ordered another pair in a different color.

These sweat pants have elastic around the ankles and waist and they also have a string around the waist to adjust the fit. The color is outstanding and the material is lightweight yet durable.

Smooth Fitness 5.45 Folding Treadmill

Smooth Fitness 5.45 Folding TreadmillConsider buying it from the manufacturer web site (smoothfitness.com). Why? This thing is massive! Read on...

GOOD POINTS: My wife and I use it every day. It is solid as a rock and quiet. We absolutely got our money''s worth and I''d buy it again, hands-down.

BAD POINTS: It is MASSIVE! Because we bought this from Amazon, it came shipped to us just like you''d think. But at 200+ lbs, it remained in our garage until five guys from church came and carried it to our basement. Once there, I had to assemble it.

Mind you, assembly is mostly-done for you. But there''s work for you to do, and don''t make any mistake about it. Setting this thing up takes time and effort, but it''s worth it.

ADVICE: buy this from the manufacturer''s web site and pay for their White Glove service. If you do, once it arrives someone will lug it to any room in your home and *then* assemble it for you. Trust me on this, just spend the money and let someone else deal with it! Learn from my mistake. If you opt to save money like I did, you will be sorry you did when this thing arrives at the end of your driveway. At least I was.

One last thing: make sure where you put it has an AC outlet nearby. You will need it (this thing needs power). If you do like me and put it in your basement, go out and buy a power-strip (with a 10-foot or more cord) and have it handy, so the installation people can plug it in once it''s all assembled. In our case, I even taped-down the power-strip cable to the floor, so you don''t trip over it.

Again, once assembled and where it''s suppose to be in your home, this is money well spent. I can''t tell you enough how solid and reliable it is. Just pay someone else to deal with the set-up hassle and you''ll be all set.

Like the other reviewers have mentioned, this treadmill is HUGE. I''ve owned 3 others in the past and this one has the biggest "head unit" (where the display is located) of any I''ve owned. The belt seems a bit narrower because I am always nicking the sides when I run.

The display is pretty good, but if I have one complaint other than the non-colored characters (blue or orange would have been better to see in low lighitng): The Speed and Distance swap. I honestly thought from the manual I had downloaded and reading the description that these would both display all the time. To me, these are two things that should ALWAYS be shown. Other things that are less important ARE shown: Heart Rate, Incline percentage (who the heck needs to see that ALL the time?), and Calories burned. Time is also shown separately, but I do consider this one to be important. To me, the items that should ALWAYS show on their own are Speed, Distance, and Time. The rest can swap. Heart Rate especially seems like a strange item to always display since you have to grip the bars to get anything other than "P" displayed.

The reason this layout bothers me is if you happen to end your workout while the Speed/Distance part of the display is on the Speed, you will never know what the Distance was unless you restart the treadmill and let it run until it''s time for the Distance to display again. This is what really causes me to give this treadmill a 4 and not a 5.

But this brings me to something that I didn''t see explained in the manual that IS a big bonus: when you press Stop it is actually only Pausing so that you CAN continue to work out with the last known stats as long as the treadmill hasn''t been powered down (which happens after a few minutes of non-use) or as long as you haven''t pressed Stop twice. The button is not labeled Pause, though, so it''s not necessarily intuitive.

As for its performance, the only treadmill I had that was as comfortable was my Vision Fitness. This thing runs smoothly, feels comfortable, and costs about four-hundred dollars less than the Vision Fitness. I''ve only had it for about 3 weeks, but I run on it at least 2 times per week and walk all the other days. It seems durable and doesn''t shake much at all. The drink holders could be a bit wider (or maybe just one of them), but it holds a bottle of Propel just fine. I didn''t get my free water bottle for some reason.

I bought this direct from Smooth and had the White Glove/complete install service. I agree with the reviewer who said PAY the EXTRA. Seriously, it''s humongous and I can only imagine how much a pain it would be getting it inside my house. The people who put it together are the delivery folks, though, and they told me they get to see a short video on how to assemble ONE model of Smooth''s treadmills. It showed. They got it done, but treadmill pros would''ve taken a lot less time and gotten less confused. All in all, I am quite pleased with this treadmill, however. I''d go for a smaller one in an apartment unless you don''t bother with furniture.

We live in a small house but not an apartment (north-east tri-state area... houses are small) anyway, we bought this from the manufacturer and when it arrived he box was enormous.

It takes some time to assemble and is not really *that* ready out of the box.

Unfortunately we could not find a single place to put it because it was just too big. Even when folded the belt part only goes up at a 45 degree angle so it still sticks out way too much and obstructs everything. It should really fold up closer to 90 degrees.

Also once its set it simply has to stay there because it will not go though a standard doorway assembled and if you try to move it after disassembling it be ready for a surprise; It simply will not stay flat because of the hydraulic device thing underneath it will ''snap'' it like a giant inverted mouse trap! You have to find a way to tie the thing together but the strong pressure broke all the ties we had...what a hassle! .. just to get it through a darn doorway!!

Great performance but BULKY, HEAVY and a HASSLE to transport.

Having all the features I needed (long-wide tread, 2+hp, with good speed, and incline), this treadmill is the best for the money. The only things not attached are some plastic covering pieces and the hand steady bars. So don''t even think about moving it part-by-part somewhere. As stated earlier this unit is heavy, but movable by 2 men (even up stairs). Drop off service will not bring unit into your house unless your door can accomidate a forklift.

Pros:

* Best value for the money

* Silent motor

* Rock solid

Cons:

* Deck movement squeeks a little on inclines 2 and 3.

I have had terrible customer service from this company and I''ve never even had the actual product in my house. Never have I ever had such terrible terrible service from a company before that is so highly recommended on so many websites. First I ordered my machine, and after 2 weeks of waiting I emailed customer service and was told that it was, in fact, on back order and would be another three weeks before I received it. Why I was not told this in an email when I first placed my order I don''t know. Then two days after being told it was going to be three weeks I received a phone call telling me that in fact it was not going to be three weeks, but two. Two weeks came and went and nothing happened. Three weeks came and went and nothing happened. Four weeks later I called to find out where my treadmill was and was then told that it was still on back order and was going to be another three weeks before the shipment came in. Again, I had received no email or phone call letting me know there was another delay in shipment. Deciding that I would not like to wait another three weeks to find out that it would be another X amount of weeks before I actually received it in my house and never being offered anything such as free set up for the serious delay of my order I decided to cancel. And now I can''t get my refund. I was told that it would be 5-7 business days before I would see the refund in my account, it is now business day number 8 and not only is customer service suspiciously closed during hours that according to their website they are supposed to be open but I still have not received my refund a refund, in my opinion should have been extremely fast seeing as how the product is still on back order. I recommend going to Sears they have a great selection of treadmills and are always having excellent sales and even better you can try them out before you buy.

Adidas Men''s adiPure Trainer Barefoot Shoe

Adidas Men''s adipure Trainer Barefoot Shoe-Black/Burnt Orange-11These shoes are great. They are stylish and comfortable. I usually where a size 11.5 but bought an 11 in these and they fit perfect. Note I also have a wide foot, midway between a D and an E size.

My only complaint is they tend to slip a little when I''m exercising in my own sweat on hard wood floors. I think the bottom just need scuffed up a little through normal wear and tear.

Overall I am pleased with this purchase. These are also my first taste of barefoot footware so I have no bench mark, but I''d still say these are some of the best.

It all depends on the shape of your foot, but for my feet the 5 toes feels better than the 4 toes version by Fila. I tried on shoes at a variety of price points from a variety of manufacturers, but decided to go for the top, and couldn''t be happier with the mesh upper instead of the alternatives. It breathes easy, fits great and truly does pass almost all sensation (in a good way) through from the ground as you walk.

I can''t emphasize enough that you should try this type of show on at a local sporting goods store, though, as the "glove" fit means you''ll really need to dial it in as opposed to "I wear a 10 in my tennis shoes so I should wear a 10 in these, right?"

Please note it takes about 2 full days of wear before they''re appropriately broken in, and you''re used to the feeling. If you''ve ever worn toes socks, it''s a lot like that. If you''ve never worn toes socks, think of thong sandals with the piece between your big to and index toe, then multiply that by five. It''s odd, but not bad, and after a day of it your wont even think it feels that odd anymore, just comfy.

Bowflex Heart Rate Monitor with Stop Watch, Countdown Timer, ECG Reading & Night Light

Bowflex Heart Rate Monitor with Stop Watch, Countdown Timer, ECG Reading & Night LightI own the exact watch except mine says Reebok. I''ve owned this watch for a few years now and the battery life is very impressive. It''s a pretty accurate cardio watch and I love that it doubles as my everyday watch. I only wish it came in other colors but no big deal. The design is fairly attractive for what it is and it''s comfortable to wear. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Also the price isn''t too absurd since it has many different functions. A small thing I must point out is, to get a reading, you need to be still for a few seconds (this doesn''t bother me too much though). I really believe you would generally be pleased with it.

This watch is only really good for the stop watch, light, countdown, etc. The heart rate function only really works when you are at rest. I found myself holding my fingers on the buttons for over 30 seconds and I still got no reading. By that time, I already lost a few beats/minute. It''s a nice idea, but if it doesn''t instantly read, it is no good during a workout. At that point you might as well just take your own pulse.

The heart monitor funcion to get the heart rate works intermittently. The ability to get a heart rate was the reason I purchased this watch, but it does not work during exercise. I can only get it to work while resting, and then it takes over 6 seconds of holding two buttons down, and does not work every time. I plan to return it as I paid $84.59 (with shipping and handling) and expected a decent heart monitor watch. I do not recommend this product because it does not work as a heart monitor and is too expensive for a watch.

I have often used this watch on a treadmill which simultaneously measures my HR. Also used it while taking stress test. It''s easy to exericse (at least on a treadmill or walking) and use the watch at the same time--no need to stop. For me, it''s been accurate 90% of the time, identical readings as from cardio leads.

Maximum Fitness Gear All-In-One Doorway Chin-Up Bar with Ab Exercise Guide

Maximum Fitness Gear All-In-One Doorway Chin-Up Bar with Ab Exercise GuideI shopped around and I have many years of fitness experience and so I didn''t make this choice lightly. Yes, it smells of chemicals but it''s probably because it was packed before the paint fully cured. The smell goes away by the time you get it together and use it a couple of times. The grips are good but they''re a bit soft and made of foam so I don''t expect they''ll last a long time. The area of the bar that comes into contact with the doorframe is a hard plastic with a textured surface that will leave an impression in the wood plus the natural up-down flex will rub a bit. The flat area on the back is fine and I don''t see any noticeable marks on the wall. Yes, some of the more gimmicky exercises rank right up there with using it as a grill for a compact pickup. Still, there''s no simpler way to have pull-up capability at home. Portable? Yes. Does it come apart easily for compact transport? Don''t even think about it. The beauty is it goes on quick, you work out, then put it away. Truly easy, effective and versatile since there are more grip locations than the single bar type. I even use the bends where there is no foam and it''s no problem. I bought some fitness bands to keep my reps high and I just leave them on it and use them as I desire. Can''t test the weight limit though, I''m less than a buck 50. The top 20 guide is a leaflet and my "kit" came with no tools. Didn''t use the included brackets. The stupidest thing they did with this kit is provide you a "printed on both sides" piece of paper of 20 exercise pictures but NONE of them use the bar. The only exercise pictures using the bar are on the box which I am sure most people will throw away/recycle. Come on guys, sheesh. Still a great product.

UPDATE 5/24/2010:

I promised that I would update this review and someone asked recently about measurements. So, with that in mind I measured the pull up bar. It would work in a doorway that is between 36 inches and 42 inches. If your doorway is smaller then 36 inches or wider then 42 inches, do not bother. My doorway is smaller then 36 inches and even though I was able to put spacer blocks on each end of the bar that goes against the wall, I would not recommend doing this. Just be aware of the opening if it is not within the measurements given, then, do not bother with this or any other doorway pull up bar.

REASON FOR SPACER BLOCKS:

I installed the spacer blocks because there is a small piece of tubing that sticks out the back side of the bar. This tubing was damaging the molding around the doorway, by adding the spacer blocks I was able to keep the tubing from damaging the molding.

Look at the picture of the pull up or chin up bar. You will see a flat horizontal bar that goes on the back side of the doorway and rests on the molding above the door (this is the highest bar in the picture). Below that you will see the longer horizontal tube (or bar) which goes on the outside of the doorway and comes in contact with the molding on either side of the doorway.

ONE OTHER NOTE: If you are living in a new home, manufactured home, trailer, or some modular homes there is a chance the interior walls may have been built with 2 X 3 studs. If this is the case the walls are thinner then if they were built using 2 X 4 studs, this too can cause issues with the bar not fitting properly and possibly damaging the molding on the side of the door which the flat horizontal bar rests on. I cannot say for certain if using the optional mounting brackets would solve this problem. But my best guess is that it very well would allow you to use the bar on a wall built with 2 X 3 studs.

ORIGINAL REVIEW FOLLOWS:

First let me say my rating of two starts is meant for the lack of information and the picture instructions. I am a technical writer, so calling an exploded view picture with a bunch of letters an instruction is offensive to me.

But let me clear up what I mean of lack of information first. All vendors market this bar as it will fit MOST doorways. That maybe so, but how hard is it to measure the bar and flatly give the maximum and minimum doorway widths in which this bar can be used. I have a friend who lives in an old farm house with huge doorway openings the bar simply can not grab onto the casing it passes through the opening. In my case, the opening is too narrow and the bar will damage my walls. I will go back and measure the bar, and if I am able I will update this review to include dimensions so no one else has to go through this.

Instructions or lack there of. OK, I assemble things, and write about how to put them together. I have never taken a picture or provided an exploded view of a product that included the hardware in the picture then expected any one to know how to assemble the product. But this is what they do with this product. It is not extremely difficult to figure out, just a little annoying and a couple of assembly hints would be nice.

Assembly hints:

You will need a large screw driver with either a Phillips head or a flat tip. A small tipped screw driver will only be a cause for frustration. You will also need a small 10 mm socket. No, a box end, open end, adjustable wrench. These will get you started but in at least three locations once the nut gets close enough to the tubing, these wrenches will not be able to hold onto the nut and you will not be able to fully tighten them.

It comes with an optional set of mounting brackets. Which I will be installing, but there is no explanation as to why you may want to choose to install them. I am going to install them, because if I don''t the bar will be so low, that my knees will hit the floor. I am not a fan of the fact that this bar seems to rely on the flat horizontal bar on the back to grab a hold of the molding on the top of the door way. Mainly because molding is not meant to support weight. Which is my reasoning for installing the brackets. I am no little guy, being 6 foot tall and 284 lbs, makes me a little skidish about relying on a piece of molding to help support me.

Beyond all of that....If I were to rate this bar purely on its function. Then, it would score a perfect 5 stars. I took it to a friends house, who has what would probably be considered a more standard door way opening. The height is better, it fits to the door way better, and it is a great way to do pull ups in your home. Over time, it may cause some minor damage, but new molding would probably be the only repair or some paint on the back side of the door way where the horizontal bar rests.

Bottom line, if you walls are constructed with 2 X 4''s and you have a more standard door way opening you will not have any troubles other then maybe some assembly issues. But if your walls were constructed using 2 X 3''s and the opening is what may be considered smaller then the standard, you will either not want to buy this or you will modify it to work. I will post my modification if I am able. If you live in an old farm house, with very large door ways. Pass on this and either construct a pull up bar outside, or find some way to mount a more permanent bar in the opening.

Buy Maximum Fitness Gear All-In-One Doorway Chin-Up Bar with Ab Exercise Guide Now

I was going to buy the Iron Gym Extreme Edition, but found that it would not fit my doors (glad I measured before I ordered). Luckily, I found this pull-up bar, as it was supposed to fit larger door frames and cost about the same. The reviews seemed good, so I gave it a shot.

After using it for a month, I could not be happier with it. It is a cinch to set up and take down. I don''t use the brackets included, but it still seems very sturdy. I''m not at all worried about it falling off the door. I weighed 250lbs. when I first started using the bar so I can''t speak to the 300lb. weight limit. However, as I said it is very sturdy and not once have I felt unsafe.

As other reviewers have said, it requires some assembly, and comes with no tools. I put it together with a screwdriver and a pair of pliers. Easy peasy, done in about 20 minutes.

The only other thing worth mentioning is that it does leave small black marks as some have said. They''re hardly noticeable (I don''t), but they are there.

All in all, great product.

I''ve used this product for almost a year now for P90X/P90X+ and it has worked great, but it also depends on whether you have a good door frame for it. I''m 6''2" ,weigh just over 200 lbs, and initially I just used the bar ''as is'' in my living room door frame. It wasn''t long however that I realized that the side pieces (that rest on the front sides of the door frame where there is typically trim) had worn through multiple layers of paint, chipping them off, and eventually digging down into the wood fibers of the molding and grinding them away.

Here''s how to avoid this: Take a couple of hand towels (that you might normally use as sweat rags), fold them long and skinny and wrap them tightly around the side pieces and then wrap tape around them multiple times to hold the wrapping in place. Duck tape is probably best but I used painters tape and its been fine. This will cushion those side pieces and protect your trim. I also tried foam pipe insulation, but that quickly eats away and you have to continuously replace it. This way will stay in place and you won''t have to keep messing with it. This should be plenty stable assuming you have a good door frame, and the part of the bar that reaches under and grips the top of the door frame can still make a good hold. I recently moved and this is no longer the case for any of my door frames, so I may have to try one of the other bars.

SAFETY NOTE: When testing this bar in a door frame, once you put all your weight on the bar for the 1st time, keep the bottoms of your feet facing the floor in case the bar slips while hanging, you''ll have a better chance of landing the right way. I''ve done the instinctive thing which is to bend the knees while hanging, big mistake, I landed on my knee caps pretty hard. Once you know its a good door frame and the bar is stable, you should be to do whatever you want with your legs and not worry about it.

I read the negative reviews of how some people received bent products that caused the bar to be uneven when assembled and I ignored them. Please don''t ignore them, I''m another recipient of the poor product quality inherent in this item. I assembled it and mounted it in my doorway, and the bar was easily 2 inches higher on the left than the right. I thought my doorway might have been off, so I tried it in 3 other doorways, same thing happened. Don''t invest in this product if you want a chin up bar that''s level (and let''s face it, you can''t use a chin up bar reliably and safely that isn''t!)

Cap Barbell Fitness FID Bench

Cap Barbell Fitness FID BenchThis is a surprisingly sturdy, lightweight bench to use for dumbbell exercises. Not only is it affordable, but it is easier to put together than the average treadmill. The manual''s instructions for putting the bench together are clear and easy to follow, and it offers good advice on how to get started coming up with an exercise routine. The bench''s backrest is adjustable (a hard-to-find but important feature), so you can do the full range of dumbbell exercises.

Customers should know before buying that the bench is designed to support a maximum user weight of 250 lbs with a combined dumbbell weight of 100 lbs. So, although you cannot use this bench for lifting massive weights, it is ideal for people who are just starting out or who are focusing on fitness instead of extreme bodybuilding.

(Update: November 28, 2010)

Well, it has been a little over a year since I have been using this bench. I started out using 5-pound dumbbells with it at least 5 days a week. Now I am able to use 25-pound dumbbells on the same routine. Not once have I had the slightest bit of trouble with the bench. Durable? I would have to say so. My original 4-star rating still stands.

(Update: April 22, 2012)

Alright, I decided to do one last update for this review. What''s the reason? Honestly, I still feel like you could not find a better bench to start weightlifting with for the price and quality, and I want to give you my take on what negative reviewers are saying. Here are some of the charges against the bench: a weird chemical smell, missing parts, rusted parts, wobbliness. First of all, let me tell you that any product that is shipped from a warehouse is likely to have a different smell. Ever been to the outdoors department at a retailer? Then you know what I''m talking about. The equipment will smell different at first, but that scent will eventually dissipate altogether. So, you don''t have to worry that the bench is somehow lethally toxic. But when I received my bench, were there any rusted or missing parts? No. Everything was there as expected. As for wobbliness, I tend to think that this issue really depends on the skill of the person assembling the bench. You do a poor job, you get a poor result. Makes sense, right? C''mon people, let''s be rational. I encourage you to read what other positive reviewers are saying about this bench if you still have any doubts.

(#1 Hall OF FAME REVIEWER)(#1 REVIEWER)I''d been looking at benches for quite some time now that I''ve gotten more into strength training than I''d ever been before and decided the space in my workout room was worth it...

Most were simply a bench. Some had ankle support...I was eyeing a $250 when I came across this one on Amazon...that had more.

Now granted it has a weight limit on it, but I think that''s more because you can do sit ups on this one and to support very heavy weight may require a wider bench of more weight...but this is very heavy and other than that, it seems like it would work with twice the weight limit.

I LOVE the backrest moving up and down...in simply a flip of your hand...all the way down for situps, a bench, flip around with the back all the way and face the other direction laying on the seat and raise and lower your legs for core work, lean on the bench or lay on it for arm work...it was solid but I think that takes a lot of work to get to that...with a two-man building team which I''ll touch on in a moment.

In the photo it looks like this is red, it''s actually a dark tan faux leather with ample padding and a yellow logo. What you may not notice in the photo is that it also has 4 hooks underneath that hold two dumbbells for easy access.

There is even a one step way of folding this up for easy storage via one pin.

To me, it''s phenomenal al this has for the price...far more than the ones way more expensive. That said, I know why.

You are paying for convenience to pay more...this is a two-person job putting together and that''s coming from someone who puts every piece of furniture etc together in this house because I have a world of patience and ability to read directions...but you have to have one person hold a wrench as another tightens it (tip: use a ratchet set and a wrench rather than 2 wrrenches). And you have to decipher the directions they haven''t updated...like it tells you to put together a few pieces in the directions that they already put together and they labeled a part number 30 in the directions but there is no part labeled number 30,,it was 20...but get past all that and you have a superior bench.

That said, using two people to ensure that every screw is uner taught is something you have to do in a weight bench...you want it sturdy. We did so and this is incredibly solid. But I also have a horrid bruise days later on my index finger from fighting to ensure it was all tight and that wasn''t easy and took time with a wrench that slipped and grabbed my finger instead.

Conclusion: It took an hour and 2 people to put it together (not actually doing it but figuring and reading the directions along the way very carefully) but I saved over $200 from the bench I almost got that did far less and I couldn''t be happier. If you have patience and know how to tighten a bolt, I''d say you''ll love it. If you bench an estreme amount of weight or want to throw things if it takes you longer to build something, I''d say go with a commercial bench. I wish they''d made the middle 2 pieces one piece...that was the hardest part but I think they split it into 2 to make it ship in a more compact box but I think they could charge more if more pieces were put together prior--For me, I love it and building it was a bit like labor pains...you may hear some cussing out of character during, but it feels worth it in the end. Ordinarily for the building time I''d knock off a star in my review, but I feel they compensated for that by putting so much into a bench that costs so little...so I feel they took this into account and it made it worth it for me.

I''m an inch or so over 6 feet and my head is almost at the edge of the bench when doing lying-down chest dumbbell workouts (after scooting down a bit). It may not matter to you but just mentioning since I like to lift my feet up to the foot-rest to keep my lower back down.

Putting the bench together is a bit of a pain and I don''t think the weight holders are useful -at least not for someone with my arm length.

Overall though, its good enough for your basic exercise needs, so I would say, go for it.

Bali Capri

(5022-BK-X) Fitted yoga caprisThese capris are light and comfortable, so they''re good for yoga even when you''re sweating a lot. I wish they were just a little shorter (they come to mid-calf), but otherwise I''m satisfied.

My legs are on the skinny side and I have trouble finding capri pants with leg openings that are not overly wide. Until now I only wore tight legged capri''s. I took a chance on these, and they fit great! They are very comfortable with just the right amount of snugness. I am a size 4 in pants/jeans and the S fits perfectly. I wear them for yoga, running, boot camp, and everything else.

Asics Women''s Core Short Sleeve Shirt

ASICS Women''s Core Short Sleeve Shirt, White, X-SmallThese are okay. They are very light weight, so they are breathable and comfortable. Have not washed them yet, so don''t know how well they perform after washing. Only thing is they run a bit large. I am a 36C, so my chest is not small at all and I am hispanic, no small hips either; I purchased these in medium and they are bigger than my usual medium size t-shirts. They are a bit long for my taste too. I could have gotten them in small, but I will have to keep them, as I am out of the US and transportation is quite expensive if I were to return them. If you are in the middle of two sizes, I would suggest you purchase the smaller size.

I am so happy with this shirt. Feels great on and is so easy to wash. Of course it dries quickly ... so I don''t have to have very many of these. I am ordering two more because I like the brand, quality and fit.

I just ordered a second shirt in another color. Per previous review, I ordered a Medium and it fits GREAT. (I wear a med or large depending on the type of shirt). Loose fitting, but NOT baggy. Has a nice contour shape. It looks great with my board shorts. I wear it under my lifejacket when riding my jet ski. And YES even us in our mid 50''s ride jet skis.

Original Review:

I usually get the Nike Legend shirt which costs about $5 more at $25 dollars but Amazon ships faster and for free so I decided to give this one a shot. Holding it in my hand, I thought "Wow, that feels good" but throwing it over my head, I said "Wow, that''s a comfortable shirt." Forget exercising, I could live in this shirt all day. It''s superbly comfortable. Really quality material. Nike, you have a run for your money.

UPDATE ON 11/21/2012: After loving the t-shirt I got in Peacock, I decided to get some in the other colors (Ruby, Canary and White). When I put on the second batch of shirts I had purchased, it felt like I had gone DOWN in size even though I had purchased the same size (XL). Strange.

I took out the original shirt I had purchased in Peacock and put them side by side and then on top of each other. As soon as I lay the new shirt in Canary (and then did the same with White and Ruby), I realized that the original shirt in Peacock was actually longer in length and wider across. I looked at the tags attached to all the shirts and they matched. But when I looked at the label on the collar, it was noticeably different. It also stated that the Peacock shirt had been manufactured in El Salvador. Meanwhile, the new Ruby, Canary, and White versions I had purchased recently were made in Mexico and are shorter, tighter and more fitted.

I''m surprised there aren''t more mixed reviews as it is completely possible that people are getting the same styles but as I noted, the quality control is completely off because depending on where the shirt was manufactured you either get a boxier, longer shirt or a tighter, shorter, fitted shirt. In the same style!

I wouldn''t have even noticed if they had fit remotely similar but it was like I had bought two different styles of shirts. But the only difference is where they were manufactured, the shirts all say the same "style" according to ASICS: WR1163.

I''m petite (5''3") and I like the length of the original shirt in Peacock from El Salvador. I imagine someone taller would have a problem with the Mexican shirts being too short.

I love this shirt. The shirts breathes and keeps me warm on cool running days. The fit is slimming but not too tight. Good find!!

Everlast Elite Adjustable Speedbag Platform

Everlast Elite Adjustable Speedbag PlatformLength:: 6:13 Mins

This is a great platform to start off with because of the great value. I was able to assemble it myself after buying the proper mounting hardware (see photos that I have added). Don''t expect IKEA-like instructions to show you step by step assembly, but if you were good with legos as a kid, you can look at the photos and video and figure it out. It really helps to have an impact drill to drive those large screws into the studs!

The platform comes with a U type swivel which is great for "Boxing" style speed bagging hitting from the front. If you are into "Bible" boxing as seen on this DVD: TITLE Speed Bag Bible (DVD), then you might want to consider a ball swivel or a higher grade swivel. I also bought the TITLE Speed Bag Bible (Book), but haven''t read it yet.

I am learning by trying one new technique each week because I think it is fun and challenging. I done a bit of MMA style fighting and speed bagging in general should help with your timing and upper arm strength to keep your arms up. But you''ll find that all kinds of folks from all ages; boys and girls, picking up this fun activity. If you search for the top Speed Bag forum online, you''ll find a community of really helpful people.

From a novice to another, I hope this video helps you make the decision of buying this platform.

Tips:

I used white lithium grease to reduce the squeaking of the swivel, just be sure to wipe off the excess.

Add a 50lb bag of play sand (less than $6 from your local hardware store) to dampen the noise.

Practice and get good with what you''ve got, you can upgrade the swivel or get a smaller bag when you improve.

Invest in a good bag, start off with a large one to help with timing.

Invest in good hand protection, missing a lot can cut up your hands with the wrong bag, and can discourage you. Buy M-Tape (at your local sports store), Everlast EverGel Hand Wraps,or properly use some Everlast Hand Wraps.

Great bag platform for the home gym!! I bought the "Elite" speedbag platform after reading the reviews and must say I''m glad I did. The Elite is a rock solid. You won''t loose speed or rhythm to the movement of a flimsy frame or board. Mine came with Everlast''s NEW style chrome plated Pro swivel that allows bag removal with the pulling of a simple cotter pin. (Not the hard to use old "Pro" style galvanized swivel with the chain link.) Coupled with a leather 4214 speed bag, this is one GREAT workout station!

I''d like to address some of the "issues" that that others have mentioned that might make you think twice about the Elite:

First, and obviously, you will need tools to assemble and install. A drill, drill bit, #2 Phillips head screw driver, tape measure, Torpedo (magnetic is a plus) level, and adjustable wrench will do the trick. These are all basic tools even if you live in an apt. If you don''t already own these, you should... These tools will be easy to find if you don''t want your own a tool kit.

Mounting Hardware: This unit comes with all the hardware needed EXCEPT the fasteners to mount the horizontal wood pieces to the wall. This is reasonable, since Everlast has no idea where you''ll hang your unit. Why add to the cost of the unit by adding a bunch of un-needed hardware? To mount through ½" drywall into wood studs, I used 4 ea 5/16" x 4" Lag Screws, and washers (Cost about $2.00 total at Lowes), plus a longer drill bit to pre-drill the wall studs for the Lag Screws ($5.00 at Lowe''s, but will go into my toolbox and be usable long after this project is done.) Lowe''s sales folks can help you decide which is the best hardware for your application.

I usually like to span 3 studs when hanging stuff, too, but this kit is set-up to attach to two, at 16". This is absolutely not a problem, my platform does not move what so ever.

Ceiling Height: I''m 6''1 and set mine about 4 inches down from an 8ft ceiling. I''m using the top setting, (bottom of the bag about mid nose height) so if you are much taller, you may want to hang a little higher.

Instructions: It really doesn''t need any... There are only 8 separate parts, plus fasteners. A simple look at the front of the box (or the Amazon product photo) will show you how every thing assembles. Just start by figuring how high your top wood needs to be and work your way down. Keep things plumb and level. Took my son and I about 1.5 hours to install, and we were clowning around much of the time.

All in all, this is the perfect set-up for my family and friends. I highly recommend this unit!

I installed the platform on two 2X4 boards secured very securely into my garage wall studs. This allowed for a very tight and secure installation. Initially the adjustable side of the rails seemed less secure than the opposite side, but with the hand adjustment knobs really cranked down the noise and rattle stopped. Great platform for my once or twice a week use. Nothing like a workout on the speed bag to rip your shoulders and arms. I needed a trip to the hardware store for the lag bolts (10), 2x4 boards cut longer than those supplied, a stud-finder, drill, ratchet set, and about 90 minutes to install by myself.

Read Best Reviews of Everlast Elite Adjustable Speedbag Platform Here

Just bought this. Have been speed bagging for about 10 years.

The good:

Rebounds are MUCH better than my previous speed/heavy bag combo stand.

Board is good quality and about 1.5 in thick.

Works well now that I have it up.

Adjustable height is a cool feature.

The bad:

4 knobs to tighten regularly if you want to adjust height, or keep platform from wobbling.

Swivel moves back and forth easily, but not side to side. This makes it easy to keep the bag straight, but is not what I am used to.

Had to mount the 2x4 at the joint of my wall and ceiling to have the bottom of the bag at jaw level on the highest adjustment.

Notes:

1. Heed the advice of posters here, and have the following on hand to hang this sucker:

* Four lag bolts 5/16ths that are 4in long, with washers

* Philips Screw Driver

* Drill bit to pre-drill the pilot holes for lag bolts

* Cordless drill

* Socket set

* Level

* dab of grease for the swivel

* Step ladder

* Utility knife & flat head screw driver to cut crown molding (you may not do this, but I did)

2. I put this up by myself (I am strong, and "handy" with tools & construction) in about 2.5 hours. I would recommend having someone to help you.

I have used this product personally in several different locations, and I have installed one myself. Since I have installed numerous speed bag wall units before I found no problem with this material, however you will need longer lag bolts and wall anchors. It''s best to put some wooden horizontal wall runners attached to span at least three studs on 16 inch centers then attach this to the wood runners, also drilling into the studs if possible. If you are NOT familiar with hanging heavier materials on walls, particular in a bedroom or "finished" location, get some help. But the average do-it-yourselfer should be able to get this up and punching in two or three hours max. If you want a rock solid easily adjustable wall unit for a great price this is a perfect selection. Properly hung it has very little vibration and shake and gives a nice consistent rebound.

The swivel supplied in mine was a chain link style, which has a small locking clip on the side. If you are not familiar with chain link speed bag swivels, it is a pain and I suggest you get retaining ring pliers to help make it easier. Personally I use a ballhook and drill the swivel holes all the way through the board to use bolts that extend out the top. This will insure the screws holding the swivel don''t rattle loose and strip the holes. The bag supplied is mediocre at best. Buy a professional higher quality bag. A Good bag together with this board you will get many hours of high quality speed bag punching for a super price.

ASICS Women''s Field Skirt

Womens ASICS Field Skirt, Color:Black, SI bought this skirt cause I have too many black skirts and shorts, but beware. There is NOTHING under it no liner, no panties, no shorts. I will have to return or wear bike shorts underneath. I also bought a medium length is ok but waist is big.

As other reviewers pointed out, this skirt does not have shorts underneath, but that''s what I was looking for. This skirt is perfect if you have a favorite pair of running tights or compression shorts, but you want to cover up for modesty. It''s long enough to cover everything that needs to be covered, and it''s short enough that it doesn''t constrict movement. It stays in place, doesn''t ride up and doesn''t twist around my waist. The size runs a little big, I normally wear large, but medium fit better. The colors are nice and bright, I have this in royal and black.

Really have no complaints with this skirt. It would have gotten five stars if it had shorts underneath.

The skirt does not ride and stays in place while running and kickboxing much better than the three running skirts (with shorts) that I own. It is also a bit longer than the others. Overall very satisfied with the skirt and I can use it with running tights during the winter!

I LOVE this skirt that I bought last November and now I just ordered another one. It has NO shorts or anything under it so I can wear it over my favorite bike shorts or my skiing or running tights. And it''s light weight enough to race in and dries quickly when wet. When it has gotten too hot when hiking up a mountain in Alaska and I"ve taken my tights or capris off underneath this skirt is not too short all by itself either ( although I''d recommend nice undies under) ! Its relaxed around the waist, does not bind but stays up through all conditions. I wear this all year long in Alaska, as it also provides a nice extra (flattering) cover for cold days in winter while Cross Country skiing. THIS is the perfect attractive cover up for active people that wear their own tights or shorts or capris.

URX-MT Urban Rebounding Extreme Metabolic Training Maximum Metabolic Interval with Keli Roberts DVD

URX-MT Urban Rebounding Extreme Metabolic Training Maximum Metabolic Interval with Keli Roberts DVDThis rebounding workout is a mix of rebounding and floor work using the rebounder. I don''t find it as aerobic as other rebounding routines I''ve done. There is no warm-up, as Keli begins with cross-country skiing. She repeats her routines enough so they are easy to follow. About 5 minutes into the routine, she picks up sand weights. There is a segment of jumping on & off the mat with both feet, as in a squat-jump, and another with one foot and balancing. Since rebounding is suppose to be easy on the joints, I''m not sure the effect of the jumps on knees. She doesn''t give alternative moves. Keli seems out of breath a lot, wheras her younger crew are extremely energetic. There is a short mat work at the end for abs and cool-down. Only 4 stars because I would prefer more rebounding. There are plenty of DVD''s for floor work, so when I choose rebounding, that''s what I want.

If you are looking for an intense workout that tones your entire body and gets your heart rate up, this work out is for you. Keli Roberts seriously kicked my butt! I couldn''t finish the workout 100% and I did need to pause a few times to get a drink and catch my breathe, so there is something for me to work up to.

I gave this four out of five stars because it would have been nice if there were more than 1 workout on the DVD, especially since it is about $20.

With that being said, I probably will look into getting another workout from this series in the future.
