In the years I''ve been lifting, whenever I used my wrist straps I would think to myself, "Deadlifting heavy iron is enjoyable and all, but wouldn''t the whole endeavor be more fun if these straps carved deep abrasions into my wrists?" Now that the Harbinger Neoprene Padded Lifting Straps have come into my life, I no longer have to wonder about how good lifting can be. My prior wrist straps merely helped me maintain my grip on the barbell. But the inspired designers of the Harbinger Neoprene Padded Lifting Straps have taken lifting to the next level by placing jagged, unfinished seams at the very point where the strap is pressed against your outer wrist. Now for days after your workout you have a somatic reminder of how much weight you lifted: the shredded skin on your wrist. Having experienced the sublime pleasure of toiling to raise a barbell as the Harbinger Neoprene Padded Lifting Straps excavated the dermis along my radiocarpal joint, I don''t think I could ever go back to wrist straps which don''t cause me bodily harm.

This product is pretty much just how it is listed. Works well and doesn''t slip, no real complaints. Doesn''t look as good as it does in the photo though.

I found these straps to be almost unusable -the material is so stiff that it''s very difficult to wrap them around barbells/dumbbells, and once you manage to get them on they cut into your skin, making them extremely uncomfortable. I''ve gone back to ''regular'' straps.

To build trapezius to rival Conan the Barbarian''s requires heavy shrugs. I''ve got the traps and biceps to shrug a 225-lb barbell ten or twelve reps, but I have little wimpy lady''s hands and fingers. These lifting straps help me keep my grip and focus on isolating the desired muscle-group. I use ''em for practically every "pulling" exercise when going heavy, from lat pulldowns to shrugs, from rows to deadlifts. And they''re also great for chins. These Harbingers are well-made, durable, and inexpensive. A good buy for the serious gym rat.

Not the best straps out there, but they definately work. For the price, they are plenty good. Using fairly heavy weights, they have not begun to fray yet.
