ProForm GR 80 Recumbent Exercise Bike
My doctor finally told me that I needed to lose weight...now! My achy, arthritic knees pretty much narrowed my choices down to a bike or water aerobics, and I don''t see myself going to the pool every day, so I researched recumbent bikes. I purchased this bike because the price was good, and it looked sturdy enough. After one month, I can tell my legs are stronger. I hardly wear a knee brace at all. Plus, I''ve lost nine pounds.This bike was extremely easy to assemble and doesn''t take up as much room as I thought it would. It is very quiet, even when I use the fan. It is also easy to adjust. The seat is comfortable and it''s not too difficult to get on or off the bike. I''ve played with the resistance levels a bit, and like it that I''ll be able to add extra challenge to my workout as I get more fit.
An added bonus for me is that the bottom of the display has just enough of a lip on it to support a book so I can read while I ride.

As others have noted, the bike was not horribly bad to put together (an extra set of hands for putting on the seat would have helped-geez). The grinding, scraping noise began for me the very first time I rotated the pedals. Amazing.So, me having invested 2 hours wrestling with this thing to get it to work at all, and not thrilled at the prospect of disassembling it all and shoving it back in the box for return, I decided to use my mechanical inclination and take the housing apart and carefully figure it out myself rather than send it back. It does say in the instruction manual how to do this yourself (in very small print). I found that the resistance was out of adjustment and followed the instructions on how to get it right. It took me a bit, but I got it!
After that, the bike worked great, BUT I should not have had to spend my own time adjusting a delicate mechanism that should have worked at the start. Very time intensive.
But, it works fine now, speed is great, all seems accurate (except the heart rate monitor--it''s way out of wack, but I don''t expect much accuracy in that department in an inexpensive bike).
All in all? If I had known I''d have to do all I have just to get it to work, I''d definitely pass. Unless you are mechanically inclined and have a LOT of patience, or want to go through the hassle of contacting and waiting on the company to act, I''d look for a different bike.

This is probably the best you can do with a recumbent bike in this price range. It''s a really good little bike with just enough features for anyone who wants to get regular exercise. The operation is quiet and smooth, and the display is very easy to use. My only small complaint is that the heart rate monitor is a little sensitive, and tends to get an incorrect read occasionally. It usually corrects quickly, but sometimes the resistance is raised or dropped incorrectly. Assembly requires two people, which is a little inconvenient, but other than being a bit awkward it was pretty manageable.I''d definitely recommend this bike to anyone who wanted a recumbent but didn''t want to shell out a huge chunk of money. When I bought this I wasn''t sure how much use I would get out of it, so I didn''t want to put a huge amount of money. Fairly simple to assemble. Weighs a good amount (About 100 pounds). So was a little difficult to get the box upstairs initially. The wheels make it very easy to move around once put together. The bike is pretty compact if you need it to be. The seat and seat back seem like they would be the most likely part(s) to break. Not that they will, but I worry about it. I doubt they would hold the weight of the device if you were to move it by putting pressure on the seat or the seat backing. For something that cost this much I would think they would have made that part a little more heavy duty. Overall a great buy though. Just make sure to buy a battery charger and rechargeable D batteries (Since it does not come with any in the box).

This product has lived up to my expectations. I have no problem with this device moving around on the carpet. Then again, I might be using it more casually than others. I just got this as a lazy way of burning a few extra calories as I watch T.V. I do get sweaty from it and my heart rate does go up a bit, it doesn''t replace any of my normal exercising, just adds a little. Okay, who am I kidding, I don''t exercise anymore. My treadmill is collecting dust and is too big and loud to use in the living room. This is better than just sitting on the couch expanding, I suppose. I turned up the tension and yeah it was jerky for the first few spins but then it smooths out. The middle gets seriously hot. After watching a couple shows while using it, I picked it up from the middle part. It was so hot it instantly burned my hand, about the same as touching an iron. Yeah, there was that whole science class where they talked about friction but it was so long ago. So be careful with that. This high amount of heat makes me wonder how long it will last.Just know that this is probably about what you would expect to get for the price. It''s good quality materials, doesn''t wobble much, doesn''t make a lot of noise (yet), peddles could be better but they do the job. Don''t expect it to last forever and be perfect and you will most likely get your moneys worth out of it.My husband has found this "ergonometer" to be very useful in his home cardiac recovery program as well as his home physical therapy program after a hip and back injury. I found it to be a great value, excellent quality product which has saved us time and expense since he was able to do more of his rehab in the comfort of our home when he was otherwise very immobile.

TITLE Classic Cardio Gloves
These Title Classic Cardio Bag Gloves are amazing for the price! Even though they are cardio gloves they are not just for women they are great for men too. Im 170 pound male with medium size hands and I got these bag gloves in the large size and they fit very well. The only thing that I dont like about these gloves are that they are hard to slip on with hand wraps because the hand opening is kinda tight because of the elastic black strap on the glove but once stretched a bit then they slip on fine. These gloves are great for 10 bucks and will last for a good long while now. I really didnt need these gloves becuase I use grant traning gloves but I couldnt resist trying them out for 10 bucks and they also look freaking cool! They look way much better in person than they do when buying them off the computer. When you open these out of the box they look like 50 dollar gloves instead of 10 dollars. These gloves are great for hitting the heavy bag, double end bag and punching mitts but if your hand is larger than a medium then they probally wont fit. All in all these are great for the price and I highly recomend them!

I love this thing! The custom zones are great. Had my zones and VO2 levels tested at the gym and my trainer was able to set the watch to MY zones. This also allows me to see a more accurate calorie count.A couple notes that didn''t keep me from giving it 5 stars, but just to keep in mind:
1. The orange is MUCH brighter than on my screen. Think, street construction cone orange. It''s much more neon orange.
2. The G1 GPS Sensor is AWESOME on most days. I recently ran with it on a very cloudy/rainy day and it completely lost track of the signal. I haven''t used the footpod, so can''t compare, but I may end up buying it for use on cloudy days.

I bought the RS300X HR monitor with the GPS sensor for my outdoor runs and I love it. The initial setup was quite simple although there are some features that I just left off such as the HR alarms because as soon as you are outside the HR zone the beeping becomes a distraction. Sometimes I want to be in a specific heart rate zone but for long runs is not always possible.While running in trails you might actually run longer distances than what the RS300X records because the GPS will approximate the route using the closest readings available. So if you ran a curvy trail under trees cover the unit is going to estimate a straight line between the last reading before entering the covered area and the first reading after leaving the covered area.
This unit supports a single user profile so if you are planning to share it with your spouse or friend you would be required to change the user profile every time. In my case, I share my RS300X with my wife but because we are the same age I just don''t change the profile at all between uses. But I believe this would be a good feature for Polar to implement in the next generation of the RS300X HR monitor particularly for families that want to share the HR among its members.
Finally, it is true that the GPS sensor could go through a set of batteries in a week depending on how often you run and leave the unit working. I have noticed that with a set of new high quality alkaline batteries I can get around 12 to 15 hours of operation.

I''ve only had the watch a couple of weeks and so far so good. I''m a bit of a wimp, so getting the chest strap wet before putting it on is friggin'' cold. I''ve worn it swimming... awesome. Worn it running, the arm band GPS was not distracting or nuisance. Worn it biking on the trainer for heart rates, can''t wait till spring to get out on the roads and track my rides. Love the way you can change the display to show the info in the format that works best for you. I''ve not had any accuracy issues with distance and it hasn''t yet fallen off the grid from lack of connection. Of course, there aren''t many big trees on the mesas in Colorado to mess with it. So, i''m new to Yoga and wanted a quality mat. I weight in at 325lbs and stand over 6''3 (football player build) so I was looking for something with good knee support. I bought the Eco mat and this one, promptly returned the Eco mat. I am a serious consumer and research every purchase to the point of silliness.. I did experience the slipping when I first started, then my instructor suggested to scrub off the shipping film ( much like manduka recommends) No more slipping.... Support of the is mat is really awesome (knees feel great in child pose or other knee intensive poses), grip is great ( I practice with a towel since i''m a sweaty one), and the length is just right. Not sure why people dislike the bagThere are 2 compartments, maybe they are trying to stuff the mat in the wet clothes side...? AnywaysI love the bag, works great, fits my large shoulders... I usually go for coffee and the market after practice, carry this mat and bag the entire timeSince im a dude and sort of stacked, I dont even notice the weight..... Any questions? Traction: 1 star. The mat provides excellent traction... until you start to sweat. I''ve read elsewhere that this is supposed to improve as the mat is broken in, but how long is that supposed to take? I''ve tried accelerating the break-in through washing and scrubbing (as recommended in the included instructions), but I haven''t observed even the slightest improvement in traction while wet over the weeks that I''ve been using the mat. Just how long am I expected to slip and slide through my workouts?
I currently work around the traction issue by placing towels where I set my hands and feet. The towels still shift and bunch up, though, which forces me to stop and reset them numerous times over the course of a workout. Maybe wearing socks and gloves would work better, but I''m not thrilled with the idea.

I read all of the reviews, and the two issues with this mat are true, but they can be overcome with patience. Yes it is heavy; mine weighs exactly 8.97 pounds, a little more than the product''s spec.I am 6'' 2", stretch off of the gym''s mats, so I wanted this 85" 5-star rated mat, regardless of the effort I planned to go thru to get it ready for my 1st practice.
Mat did have an odor and odors give me a big headache. I left it unrolled in the garage (odor was too powerful for me to keep in the house). After 2 months the odor was still noticeable when lying on the mat, but I was able to start practicing with it. Odor was totally gone in 4 months (leaving it unrolled after every practice).
Mat initially was slippery when wet and since I sweat a lot I decided to clean it as suggested once a week for the 2 months before 1st practice with it (don''t clean the Manduka sticker, it will come off). Also as suggested I left it outside during the day three times to help quicken the breakdown the film. After the initial 2 months break-in I finally had a great mat, now that it has been another 6 months, it is an excellent mat.
I have a mat for life, one that I am stable when doing Tree , one that is long and wide enough for me, without any odors , is non-slip, and cushioned. What more can I ask for?

It was a tough choice between the Manduka Black Mat and the Jade line of great mats. In the end it is a very personal matter that only you can make. The Jade is a stickier mat and the Black Mat thicker and heavier. Some folks complaint about carrying it around with them but I bought the package with the mat sack and am very glad I did. I also did not find any unpleasant smells lingering like many complained of....the rubbery smell lasted a few weeks and was gone. I don''t do "hot" yoga so I can''t report on what it is like when real wet with sweat, but I would guess you want a yoga towel on your mat anyway if you do that practice. Now let me explain a couple of things here first: 1, I do not run unless I am being chased 2: I am not an avid exercise feind 3: These shoes are my work shoes and i am a nurse therefor I do not have any heavy duty usage out of these. I only asked for a couple of things i don''t want them to feel like bricks on my feet and I want to be able to wear them for 8 hours without having my knees or feet feeling like I did a marathon (refer back to 1st comment). Proform 560 Crosstrainer Treadmill
I just put my Proform 560 together and so far it is a very good treadmill.It is definitely quiet and runs smoothly. You can walk and run on it and it does not make a lot of rambling as much as other cheaper treadmills. My workout was for 30 mins with no problems. The programs to operate are really self-explanatory and manageable. I was very nervous about damages and missing parts, but all of the equipment was in the box and functioning appropriately. As for assembling the treadmill, everything was very easy. It took me and my father a little over 1hr to get everything completed. Actually the belt and the monitor was already together when we pulled it out of the box; the treadmill folds up which is how it came out of the box. I''m glad I can fold it to take up less space. So the only thing we had to do was place the handles on and the smaller accessories that were to be attached to the treadmill. Overall, I made a very good choice on this machine, plus I did get it for a very reasonable price at Academy for only 499.00. This so far is a definite keeper.
Ultimate Sandbag Training: Burly Shell ONLY
Based on what I read I believe the prior reviewer selected this for the wrong purpose. It is not a kettle bell or traditional bar with weight. It is a full body training device.If you want to learn how to use this tool to its maximum effect there are several Youtube videos on how to do utilize it properly.
Being a "dead" weight with the sand shifting around it builds the stabilizer muscles and builds the whole body and not an isolation exercise tool. There are methods to clean, jerk and squat with the bag but this particular bag may be too big for a beginner. It is called a "burly" bag for a reason. Ultimate Sandbags have smaller versions for beginners and those who want something smaller for different exercises.
I will say that if you are a CrossFitter then you will find this useful in your routines. If you are an MMA or BJJ practitioner you will also find using this tool useful in your workouts as it mimics an opponent dropping their weight on you.
I found it to be useful in my routine and I hope others do as well. May the pain you receive leave your weakness in the dust.
I bought this bag to do Clean and Jerk, Shouldering and Turkish Get ups. The bag doesn''t work well for any of these lifts. I have about 120 pounds of sand spread across the 4 ultimate sandbag filler bags.
Clean and Jerk. The first clean I attempted I almost crushed my windpipe with the single handle. I thought it was just a fluke but it happened 3 outta the first 5 reps. So I needed to remove the single handle from the bottom of the bag for safety reasons. The zipper section where you put the filler bags in will cut you up on the way into the clean as well, making the clean an all around bad lift. The Jerk portion is nearly impossible for me to do just because of the girth of the bag. I am 5''11" and it is nearly impossible to get my head under the bag while doing the jerk. Once again it is too dangerous and needs to be avoided. This issue also makes the press a tough lift to accomplish.
Shouldering. All the handles are nice but get ready for them to cut and bruise you while performing this lift. I made a bag for under 30 dollars that works better for shouldering than this expensive piece of .....
Turkish Get Ups. The length on this bag makes a TGU hard to perform. When you are going down to your back the bag will get beneath you disallowing you to lay flat on your back.
I would avoid this bag unless you only want to do Zercher Squats and Rows. Another thing about the ultimate sandbag is how they silence the bad critics. I have written reviews on other websites where the bag is sold and my reviews are denied for no reason. Please take my warning and buy different bag.

I initially ordered the men''s wrist strap and armband as those were the only ones available when I first got my Motoactv. I''m 5''1" and 108 lbs, so quite petite, and the original wrist strap was just ridiculous on me (I might as well have worn it as an armband) so I never used it. Wearing the Motoactv on my arm worked if I wanted to use it for the music and as a HRM, but when I run, I like to be able to look at it to keep track of my distance, time, etc. When this wrist strap became available, I ordered it. I''ve been using only the wrist strap ever since (according to my Amazon order record, for around 6 months now) and am quite happy with it. I''m small-boned (left wrist measures 5.5 inches around at the point where I wear this) and am able to wear this with 3 holes left over. With long sleeves, I fasten it over my shirt and have 4 holes left over.The Motoactv can be slipped in and out of the wristband relatively easily if you want to switch from it to the armband. It''s secure though, so I never worry about it falling out.
The two things I wish were that it was positioned differently and of a slightly more flexible fabric. The rubbery strap does seem like it might last longer (i.e. hold up to sweat) better than something softer. I would think something similar to the chest strap fabric might work though. Also, if you hold your arm up to look at it as you would a watch, the Motoactv is sideways. I will try to post a picture of it on my arm at some point.
One other note--when I wear this on my wrist, I run the cable for my (super-cheap) earphones down the inside of my left sleeve, out by my wrist, and plugged in to the Motoactv. I often wear running skirts with earphone ports and pockets designed for music players, but since I want to be able to look at the screen, I''m not going to put the thing in my pocket. This setup works pretty well. I would recommend earphones with a clip so you can attach them to your shirt to keep them from moving around too much.

My husband has an ACTV and had gotten me one. His wrist band was too large (I have small wrists) and the arm band was too large. In addition, I like being able to see the ACTV on my wrist. This one is definitely smaller/thinner. A tiny bit thinner would be nice, but it doesn''t bother me when working out/running.

The arm band is wonderful so you can focus on your run, instead of having to hold your ipod in your hand when you run. The shoe sensor holder is awesome if you don''t want to buy the expensive Nike shoes with the pocket build into the sole of the shoe! Just insert the sensor, velcro it over your laces, and you are good to go! It stays on tight, you can''t feel it when you run, and the Sensor still works great and sends the information to my ipod perfectly!
A great product and a must buy, whether your a new runner, or have been a runner all your life. You''ll never look back!This review is for the armband + shoe sensor case combo. The armband holds my ipod nano with the nike+ adapter securely. I haven''t had a problem with the clear plastic and can control the ipod just fine. The shoe clip works perfectly and can easily be moved from shoe to shoe if you''re like me and have 5 different running shoes.
The quality/construction of the neoprene armband is not as solid as my old Belkin one, but that one cannot accommodate for the nike+ adapter. But the entire kit works as described so it is what it is!!Not able to use dial through the plastic. It serves it''s purpose. It comes with the sensor holder so don''t buy that in addition. The design could have been better. It also would have been nice to have a place to store the sensor when not in use so you don''t lose it.It''s supposed to sent the case for the shoe but somehow it was missing in the box.
So i got a refund of the shoe case for the Sensor.
The armband is cool, the plastic over the nano is a little tricky to move the ipod slider.
Nano 3G fits ok with the Nike receiver installed.

.I think it''s better for tone and rehab than building mass. See the first CON below and be prepared to use repetitions instead of increasing weight for more challenge. For many of us, that''s suitable.
CONS...
Maximum resistance is not very challenging. I''m not that strong but I can easily work the unit even at maximum (6). Setting 1 is probably for rehab just to work the motion. That makes it a CON since building mass is not really the best application of this design. Serious lifters will not be challenged. It''s your decision what category you fall into but I wanted to clarify how this system compares to those where you can keep adding weight. After setting 6 that''s not an option here. Either increase repetitions or put this later in your exercise rotation when you are already fatigued.

+ Comes complete no plates to purchase (a cylinder provides resistance) and no tools aside from a wrench (although it includes Allens).
+ Easy to assemble took about 1 hour going at a relaxed pace
+ Quiet to operate no clanking
+ Not as heavy as many units largest single piece for assembly is 40 lbs. Once assembled it''s easy to move around. Rollers on front skid, levers on back skid.
+ Smaller footprint than many units. No overhead clearance issues. The highest point is 48 inches. The widest it gets is 42 inches.
+ Workmanship is good paint finish, pad stitching, etc.
DEPENDS ON YOUR POINT OF VIEW...
> Resistance is in both directions closing stroke and opening stroke. Not the same as a weight fly where the weight pulls you back. Here YOU pull it back and you can rest at any point in the stroke (i.e., the machine doesn''t return you). So unless you pull it all the way back to start your workout suffers. Different feel. But it seems more safe as you can''t "fail" and be yanked back to the start. When you stop pushing, or pulling, it stops.
If I were to do it again, I would have chosen something like the Body Solid GPM65 and used the leftover money for plates. As it stands this fits easily into my workout area and I put it late in my exercise rotation (and keep increasing the reps).
Note that the box is considerable and so the delivery company will want to arrange an appointment and you will sign for it.

I like the mat, seems very durable and of good quality; though it''s a little pricey (that''s why 4 stars instead of 5). I purchased this mat intending to use it on my hardwood floor to help dampen noise from the trainer|bike, but ended up placing the trainer in a room with a rug. I still use the mat in order to catch any oil or crud that may drip from my bike, but have found that the trainer doesn''t stay flat on the rug -it tends to slip a little bit and bunch up around the places where it contacts the trainer. This is not an issue while riding, but is a cosmetic thing. The trainer seems to be pushing and stretching the mat into the rug.

wish it had more color options as i prefer black, navy and charcoal. the blue is ok but a bit too bright. also would have liked a total of three pockets, two front pockets and one other to hold cell phone. have been buying and wearing workout shorts with three pockets and wanted a long pants for yoga.update: when i purchased it only had red and royal blue. now i see black and navy available. :-(
