I purchased these to work with older clientele that have been deconditioned. They are loving it! The beveled edge is nice as well as how wide it is. It''s sturdy, but has a bit of "squish" so that it challenges balance.

I use this product at the gym for my pilaties class, this is the same thing the gym uses. I like my children to have acess to a begginer beam at home to develop their gymnastics. I feel way better having them learn on this, close to the floor paired with a mat than some of the other options avalible. They often try to do stuff without me right there to spot so they dont have far to fall off this. This is wider than a gymnastics beam, but it is a good start for a begginer or intermediate student with the right exercises... most kids will not need anything more advanced at home until they have completed several years of gymnastics.

I ordered the BEAM from Amazon due to the competitive price + Prime free shipping. It arrived promptly, well packaged and as described. HOWEVER, the accompanying instruction/work out dvd was defective. A dvd screen display indicated the item had been made by BEAMFit for Home Shopping Network (HSN) distribution. The dvd would not play useless. Per Amazon Customer Service, the dvd is not available for individual replacement so I repackaged (no small feat!) and returned the original item in exchange for a replacement.

Fast forward to arrival of replacement item. I carefully removed the dvd before completely unpacking the entire BEAM. This dvd was totally BLANK! So the 2nd purchase went back, too. I won''t try a 3rd time. NOTE: HSN no longer carries the item. Did Amazon acquire defective HSN inventory???
