When I decided to start wearing a weight belt, I bought both a leather one and this nylon one. After trying them both, I don''t even bother with the leather one any more. I find this much more comfortable. The velcro is really handy, because I find that I will adjust its size depending on what lift I am doing this is nearly impossible with leather belts that have holes and a buckle. This one certainly works well for me.

As someone else noted, the buckle pops off under duress. A shame, because I really liked the fit of the belt and would otherwise give it 5 stars. I might try to make my own buckle for it, maybe find a hiking carabiner that fits or something.

You really have to wonder what the heck they were thinking with that buckle. The tube is tiny and doesn''t bear up to much stress at all. Hello? Product test much?

I bought this belt to use doing barbell squats and deadlifts. The nylon and velcro parts are fine, but the buckle is made with thin tube steel. I completed one set of squats, and when I went to put the belt on for the second set the buckle bar just popped off.

If you are tempted to buy this belt, just think about squatting deep and having it pop off your body just when you need it most!
