Bladez Fitness Jet GS Indoor Bike

Bladez Fitness Jet GS Indoor BikeI have been riding this bike nearly everyday for a month and it is rock solid. Nothing ever gets loose. My wife is 5''4" and I am 5''11" and it fits both of us and the adjustments are easy. The resistance adjustment is right on the handles and is just an easy tab you can move with your thumb. There are at least 10 settings but the most I can push is 7 so I think this bike will be challenging to most. The bike is very quiet; I don''t even have to turn up the television while I ride.

One time I had a slight clicking towards the end of an hour ride. So I emailed Bladez customer service to find out if there was a quick fix I could do. They were very helpful and even scheduled a technician to come out on their own accord. Which would have been great except the clicking only happened one time for about 5 minutes in about 30 rides over 30 hours; so I canceled the tech visit. But I really appreciated how helpful they were.

I just want to say that this is a great bike for anyone who is looking to start DIY spin biking. I got it not to long ago and i have to say that it is great. the handle bars have a lot going on (resistance control, hand break, and forearm rests) but once you get used to it its not a big deal. the seat is a little uncofortable but i have to be honest I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE found a bike seat that is comfortable. Bikes seats are designed to put pressure on your "sit" bones and thats just the way it is. I did get a gell seat cover and that has made a big diference and also once your "sit" bones get used to having pressure there its not to bad, just like with any new excercise your body just has to get used to it. Bottom line great bike, great price and supper fast delivery! LOVE IT!

13 Dec 2012. So the bike started making this strange humming noice and it only got louder the harder i pedaled and i couldnt figure out why. i finally got tired of the noice and i adjusted the resistance pads (moved them up a little) and viola the problem was fixed. I still love the bike and i think that for the price it was a great purchase.

I got Bladez Fitness Jet GS as a replacement for a Schwinn IC2. I purchased IC2 in December 2012. I had never before owned an indoor bicycle and really did not know what to expect. After using the IC2 for month, I realized that I want a bike with the following features:

-Belt drive instead of chain drive for quieter operation and no maintainance.

-Heavier flywheel (40lb+) for better momentum

-Easy to reach brake pads to remove them occationally and soften them with silicone spray

-Handlbars friendly to an ipad holder

Bladez GS meets all of my requirements.

It was super easy to assemble. The belt drive is super quite. The seat is not too bad. I have not had the need to change it yet.

The holder for my ipad sits firmly atop the handlebards so that I can watch movies or read while exercising. Not to mention the bike has a very appealing look (the Schwinn IC2 looked really bland with all gray).

The bike feels solid and does what it''s supposed to do: generate plenty of sweat in a very short period of time.

So far I''m satisfied and would definitely recommend.

PS. This bike is probably the cheapest bike you can buy with a belt drive.

Now that I''ve had this bike for over a month I feel like I can give an accurate review.

Packaging: this package arrived later than expected and was shipped in only the box it came in and not a box from amazon. the box was punctured in many places and thankfully the only damage was a small scratch on the bike frame. Although the box was punctured the internal packing of the box was quite good. Very high density foam protected the individual components of the bike and small, loose parts were inside of bags and ziptied to the frame.

Assembly: the bike is very easy to assemble and can be done with the tools that are included even though I opted to use my own wrenches and screwdriver so I could ensure the bolts and screws were properly torqued. I completed the assembly alone in about 25 minutes but for those lacking upper body strength assembly will be easier with two people because the flywheel is quite heavy.

Construction: the bike seems very solid but there are minor things that bother me as a mechanical engineer. the holes on the two base pieces of the frame were not made in a line so the "feet" are at a slight angle (no more than 2 degrees) but the machining should have been a little better. The frame seems very solid and I''m assuming the weight limit for a rider comes in at the pedals and the cranks. This connection could have been made stronger but that would have made assembly more difficult. I put loctite on the pedals to ensure they do not work there way loose from the cranks.

Adjustments: the bike includes many different adjustments to accommodate different sized riders. The handlebars go up/down and tilt fore/aft while the saddle also goes up/down and slides fore/aft. these adjustments are all down with knobs that if aren''t tightened fully will make the bike creak and wobble so I fear that adjusting them often will lead to failure. Thankfully I am the only one that uses the bike so I don''t worry about this. I''m just shy of 6'' tall and I do not have the saddle adjustments all the way up or back so I''m sure someone up to about 6''4" could ride this bike pretty easily.

Biking: the bike actually pedals incredibly smoothly and is pretty quiet. on the lowest resistance setting I can barely hear it and at about 75% resistance I only have to turn my TV up a little to overcome the noise from the friction on the flywheel. There are plenty of resistance settings (12 I think) and the highest ones are near impossible to push with any sort of speed. The saddle is a little uncomfortable but if it bothers you get a pair of cycling shorts with pads and you''ll get used to it pretty quickly. The computer is essentially useless except as a timer. The speed, calories and distance are not to be trusted but I don''t use them anyway.

Overall a very solid bike where you can get a great workout in without going to the gym or heading outside. I only gave it 4 stars because I feel like the machining could have been slightly better and the computer was worthless but I am very satisfied with my purchase. I would definitely recommend buying this especially since it''s dropped in price by almost $100 since I ordered it.
