Trudeau Cool Off Hydration Bottle

Trudeau Cool Off 24-Ounce Hydration Bottle, PurpleMy favorite water bottle yet still Disappointed!

This is my very favorite water bottle. I love the colors. I love that it is double insulated and doesn''t sweat on everything. I love that it has a straw and I love that when I''m carrying an arm load of stuff I can grab the bottle with a pinky finger and off I go.

I however HATE how easy they break! I have never had a water bottle break until I started using this kind. I am not rough on them and I don''t toss them around, but lets face it, I do live and this bottle is always within an arms reach so it does get used. Twice I have had them sitting on the ground and get knocked over and break. Not knocked over and it rolled away, I''m talking, tipped over! I have also had the inner space start filling with water and not even know the bottle had gotten bumped. Not to mention the times they have fallen a foot or two and they are done for. Don''t even bother buying one for your kids, those got broken immediately.

Trudeau, Please make these water bottles sturdier!

Honestly, I have not found a better water bottle than this one. When I had my babies, the hospital gave me an insulated water mug with a lid and straw. I loved it but it would spill it tipped over and it was too wide for car cup holders. But it was the best thing I ever found to make it easy to drink lots of water and be healthy. After a couple of years my hospital mug broke. I looked for a long time to find something similar.

The Trudeau water bottle is so good that I cannot get enough of them. They leak less water if you tip them over. They leak none if they straw is closed down under the lid. They fit in car cup holders. They look great. They don''t sweat and leave water stains on my furniture. I can put it in my purse or backpack. My ice water stays cold for hours. If I fill it with ice and water at night, it''s still cold in the morning.

I had to buy more than one because my husband and kids keep stealing mine. I will be buying extra for my friends too. Honestly, I just wish there were more colors so that each of my 6 sons could have their own color and different colors for me and for my husband.

If there is a downside, it''s that you can''t put them in the dishwasher. But I don''t really care about that since I only use them for water. I have had one break, which really surprised me because they are very durable. I guess that one hit the floor at just the right angle, because we have dropped them many times before, without them being damaged.

I''m what you might call a water bottle aficionado. I''ve bought dozens of them over the past few years. Some have lasted months, a lot of them only lasted a day, but this bottle is the only one that has lasted years!

I swear I have owned just about every type of water bottle in existence. From the flip pop open top to the squeeze. Both of which didn''t work out for me. For some reason the bottles I favor the most are the ones with straws. I honestly can''t answer why to this. It''s just my own preference. But I digress, I''m here to review this bottle. So let me tell you my experience with it.

I first found it in a local Target store. It was sitting on a shelf by itself in a section completely unrelated. I picked it up and looked it over. I was really impressed with how sturdy it felt. So I trotted off with it to the water bottle section to see how much it cost. Alas I couldn''t find another one or even a tag anywhere matching the SKU. I never-the-less decided to buy it anyways. It ended up costing me a little over $10. When I got it home I put it on a shelf in my cupboard next to a few others I''d found previously and there it stayed for about 6 months.

It was only a matter of time before I burned through all the bottles I had purchased. I get annoyed very easily. It didn''t take long before they would start leaking all over the place or no matter how much I cleaned them there would be this inner film that just looked disgusting. I kept putting off using this bottle for the stupidest reason. Just be cause it was pink. But finally one day I decided to give it a go. Can you believe that it lasted me 2 years!?

Like I said this is a solidly constructed bottle. It is made of plastic but has two layers. Both layers are very thick. The outer layer is shapely and the middle of it is covered by soft rubber that provides a great grip. There is a good amount of space between the inner plastic layer and the outer. This means virtually no condensation on the outside of the bottle. The top has the attached straw and you turn it to open and close it. This action neatly bends the straw and stores it inside the lid. I have never had the lid leak. Ever!

After 2 years of use I made the mistake of putting it in the dishwasher. The plastic on the bottle cracked and there was no saving it after that. I thought I had lost my bottle for good but then I found it here on Amazon and in purple, my favorite color! I''ve been using it everyday these past 3 months and I couldn''t be happier.

I can''t find anything negative to say about this bottle. But I can provide some recommendations. First off when they tell you not to put it in the dishwasher they aren''t kidding. Second, be diligent about keeping the inside of the lid clean. It can build up gunk very easily. I did put the lid in the dishwasher and it never had any problems and cleaned it rather well. That about covers it.

I''m actually thinking about buying a few more of these so I have extras just in case. Who knows how long they''ll keep making them.

I had the "Cool Down" version of this water bottle for about two years and found it to be very durable and rugged. I dropped it a lot before it finally broke. When I went to purchase a new one, I went with this new style. DON''T. I purchased this bottle back in October and the first time I used it, the outside was covered in condensation even though the double wall was supposed to stop that from happening. I contacted Trudeau and was able to return the product and receive a replacement that worked great for two weeks until I dropped it ONE time on the carpet in my office. Then it basically shattered at the bottom, cracked at the top and became useless. I''ve contacted Trudeau to see if they will replace the bottle again, preferably with the "Cool Down" bottle as that seems to be a superior product.

Men''s Black Pearl Bike Shorts Cycling Bicycle Biking

MEN''s Black Pearl Bike Shorts LARGE REDI ride on average about 22 to 25 miles a day. I am very happy with these Black Pearl Bike shorts. They are the most comfortable shorts I have owned. They are about the same price as a pair of Pearl iZUMi Men''s Quest Cycling Shorts and are more comfortable and fit better and are made in the good ole USA, with the exception of the pad that is made in Italy.

Bottom line is that these shorts are high quality and comfortable and I have not found another pair of Biking shorts, at any price point, that I have owned that do the job better than these shorts do.

One additional note if you go directly to Aero Tech Designs website l and order these direct you will save 5 dollars over what you will pay by ordering them from Aero Tech Design through Amazon?

I''m a heavier road bike rider ("Clydesdale"), but do ride longer distances pretty regularly (40-60 mi). I''ve tried Pearl Izumi (which are great shorts too, but seem to wear down faster, or at least faster than I would hope, given how expensive they are), Sugoi (my least favorite), and some other brands over the years I''ve been riding. These are my new favorite shorts. They are really comfortable, fit very well, and seem very well made. Try these out before you go for the more expensive brands. You might be pleasantly surprised. I was.

I''ve owned three of these shorts, for 1.5 months now. I love them.

I think the "value" (what you get for your money) is fine: not a steal

& not a rip-off. There is no tag to scratch: the size/model info is

printed on the spandex on the inside. All seams are flat, quality sewn.

FIT: I''m 6''0" 158 lbs with a 32 3/4" waist. The "Large" size fits perfect,

everything snug. The "Medium" is recommended by website, but I''m sure

that would be too small & overstretched. The inseam is OK. I''m long

legged for 6''0", and could use another 1/2-1" on inseam.

I finally replaced my classic Hind cycling shorts I bought 19 years ago. I only bike 1/4 to 1/2 the year so they have 7 to 10 years use on them. I tried several different shorts and settled on the Black Pearl Bike short. I agree with M Tsol, when he wrote, Aero Tech Designs, "cannot be outdone with the black pearl crotch pad" and rated the mountain biking short which uses the same pad as the road short his number one short:

The Black Pearl Bike short adds a little bit more padding than traditional shorts but not too much that it feels like a diaper. I tried the medium size Pearl Izumi Quest bike shorts and felt like they were over all too tight. The pad was too wide in the crotch and too thick, squeezed my boys, if you know what I''m talking about. I tried the Aero Tech Top Shelf short, which has a similar pad to the Quest, but it also did not fit my anatomy right. Also tried the Aero Tech Pro Cycling short which is a nice short with a thinner traditional pad, but I wanted just a bit more padding. All the Aero Tech shorts were well made and sewn right here in the good ol''USA. However, the Black Pearl short I decided to keep had a couple of seem flaws that looked like they had to be restitched. Possibly made by a rookie? The flaws don''t seem hurt the function of them.

I decided to do a short ride to try them out. Early in the ride, wasn''t sure about the pad running down the center under the crotch but once I got used to the feel, I loved the extra cushioning. I ended up riding a lot longer, either because these are great shorts or I haven''t had a new pair in 19 years and anything would feel better. I''ll give the nod to Aero Tech and the Black Pearl short.

I have a 31" waist and the medium fit me just about right, I don''t like very tight shorts, just snug and form fitting.

My husband has been cycling long distance for more than 35 years and he says these shorts I bought for him are his best ever! They fit beautifully and the leg hems don''t even HINT at rolling up. The pads are thick and appropriately positioned and they don''t shift. Great price, too! Apparently, a guy couldn''t ask for more!

TITLE Classic Cardio Gloves

TITLE Classic Cardio Gloves, LThese Title Classic Cardio Bag Gloves are amazing for the price! Even though they are cardio gloves they are not just for women they are great for men too. Im 170 pound male with medium size hands and I got these bag gloves in the large size and they fit very well. The only thing that I dont like about these gloves are that they are hard to slip on with hand wraps because the hand opening is kinda tight because of the elastic black strap on the glove but once stretched a bit then they slip on fine. These gloves are great for 10 bucks and will last for a good long while now. I really didnt need these gloves becuase I use grant traning gloves but I couldnt resist trying them out for 10 bucks and they also look freaking cool! They look way much better in person than they do when buying them off the computer. When you open these out of the box they look like 50 dollar gloves instead of 10 dollars. These gloves are great for hitting the heavy bag, double end bag and punching mitts but if your hand is larger than a medium then they probally wont fit. All in all these are great for the price and I highly recomend them!

Stamina InStride Electronic Stepper

Stamina InStride Electronic StepperAfter 2 weeks using it for 4-5 times per week & 45 minutes each time, this unit works great. The squeaking noise was little annoying but it went away after I WD-40ed it. For those of you couldn''t figure out how to oil this thing, the cable connectors were creating the squeaking sound. Find the two cable ends & just WD-40 them, the sound should go away.

I love working out; I have a gym membership and both a gazelle and the Stamina InStride Stepper at the house. I run, I hike, my boyfriend thinks I''m crazy. I like this stepper better than the expensive ones at the gym. Its sturdy yet portable, and unlike most pieces of exercise equipment, this one really can easily be stowed anywhere. Its great for in front of the TV. I''ve owned my stepper for about 6 monthes now and the only issue I''ve had is that it needed a little WD-40 (it was squeaking). You can definitely feel it in your thighs after a good workout. I''d recommend it to anyone. For an added boost, buy a couple weighted balls to hold during your workouts.

It broke. Twice. The first one I sent back. Customer service was good, delivery of a new item was prompt, which is why this gets two stars instead of one from me. It broke a second time, however, and I give up. The first time the piston part got stuck and impeded the stepping motion. The second time the cord that goes around the rotary disc broke. Argh!

I have owned this about two weeks and I happen to love it. I bought it to leave near my computer to remind me to get up and move a bit! It feels GREAT when you are done. I have not had any trouble at all with mine. It has even encouraged my 12 yr old to get movin'' on it!

I think it is very sturdy and it is heavy, yet it is compact enough to move to a closet!

I''m very pleased with the purchase!

I loved my stepper for about two months it''s small and compact, the workout was great and then it broke. I then ordered a replacement part, which came in worse condition than the one I was replacing. My stepper was fantastic when it worked but I seem to be having bad luck with it.

One other small problem it squeaked quite loudly.

Cathe Friedrich''s STS Shock Cardio: Step Moves DVD

Cathe Friedrich''s STS Shock Cardio: Step Moves DVDThis DVD is a big disappointment. I''m a huge fan of Cathe Friedrich and own every single one of her workouts. I pre-order on the first day of her sale, no matter what the workout. Cathe was one of the first instructors to offer advanced home workouts. Her STS Weight Series is one of the best advanced strength training programs out there.

That being said, I hated this workout. This is my least favorite of all the Shock Cardio workouts. But, I always try to find something positive to say about my favorite instructor.

What I liked:

**DVD production quality was excellent and up to Cathe''s usual high standards. There were no problems with the sound.

**the backdrop is nice to see. It''s the same one as the STS Strength Series, a loft-style room with views of New York City.

What I really disliked:

**the whiney, techno hip hop music. Cathe''s choice of workout music isn''t always great, but in previous workouts I could overlook the music because I was enjoying the workout so much. Not so with this workout.

**no fun factor. Even Cathe doesn''t look like she''s enjoying herself. She''s rather subdued. I miss her enthusiastic and friendly persona. I can only do about 20 minutes of this workout before giving up, because of this and the awful music.

**overly long warm up. A 9 minute warm-up is not needed for a 30 minute low intensity workout.

**no cool down. At the end of the Step section, Cathe says, "okay, stop the DVD and cool down for several minutes and then come back to join us for a stretch." No, I don''t think so. When I stop the DVD, it''s over. I would have much preferred a shorter warm-up, a shorter stretch and at least a few minutes of cool down.

**misleading workout description. It''s described as an advanced workout. I call this an intermediate one. I used 2 risers, instead of one and I still couldn''t get my heart rate into my aerobic zone. The choreography is complex, so I guess you could consider that advanced.

I recommend any of Cathe''s other Step DVDs over this one.

I only started step about two months ago and am slowly working my way up through Cathe''s step video''s. I really love this video. It took me several tries to work out all the moves, but once you learn them you can really work up a sweat. The video is 44 minutes from beginning to end, but it feels much less than that. Once you get past the warm up you''re done before you know it. I agree with some of the other posts though. This video I think is more intermediate than advanced. I have some of her other step video''s and I can''t even begin to do those yet. Yet....

I would love to give this a five star review, but I can''t seem to get through the whole DVD before giving up. I wanted more challenging choreography, but I feel like I could try this for the rest of my life and never figure out the steps. I can''t work up a sweat because I spend my whole time watching, unable to catch on. I have watched it without doing the moves twice, and twice have tried stopping after each new move to try it over and over with no luck. It looks like it would be fun of I could figure it out! For now, I''ll have to do my usual workout in the morning, and, if I have time in the evening, keep trying this little by little.

She is simply the best. Choreography could be broken down and layered, especially because I "borrowed" some of it for my classes, and ny students appreciate the different options. She is never too complicated, and with a few runs, you will really be enjoying it!!

Lifeline USA Lateral Resistor 2 - 60 lb

Lifeline USA Lateral Resistor 2 - 60 lbI originally purchased SKLZ Lateral Resistor Strength and Position trainer as training aid for developing leg strength and foot speed in my students. The SKLZ are of very high quality and have very nice padding, but the only problem was its length. If you are even slightly short (I''m talking anywhere 5''10" and below), then the SKLZ bands wouldn''t give you a workout because you would have to be almost lunging before you feel any resistance.

Well, these Lifeline resistors are the solution the length is perfect and the interchangeable bands are great for athletes of all different sizes and leg strengths.

In terms of what band you should choose, I would suggest getting the 60 lbs starter kit (which includes the ankle straps) and an additional 20 lbs set of bands. This way you essentially have anywhere from 20 lbs to 180 lbs of resistance (each cable is either 20 lbs or 60 lbs, not the entire set). You can then mix and match as you please.

If you already own any other Lifeline products, then you probably already know that their products have phenomenal build quality. You won''t be disappointed with these either.

Purchased this for my mother to use. She can not do a lot of exercises on machines due to range of motion issues. This band resistor is a great alternative. Her trainer who trains pro athletes uses it at his facility and suggested she buy one.

You can do a number of resistance exercises with this thing. The best part is you can change the number of bands you use to adjust the resistance. It is also small enough that you can pack it when you travel.

It was hard initially though I was managing and I was about to write a review and saw that someone posted you can change the amount of resistance. Because I''m a man I don''t read instructions and just start putting stuff together ;-). Finally realizing you didn''t need to have all 3 bands on at the same time. It became even more bad ass..

Good straps, good resistance and my ankles and lower legs are getting stronger.

Highly recommended..

This is a fantastic item!! There are so many exercises you can do with this thing and with 60 pounds of resistance you can be sure you will be getting good workout sessions. 60 pounds will probably be too much to start with, but you can add or subtract bands so that you can work up to the full 60 pounds. You can work every muscle in your legs in more ways than one, and it''s only $30. Best $30 I ever spent. Well worth the money.

Works and shipping was fast. Wish they had different tensions of bands. These ones are pretty strong. Ok for the good athlete but too hard for the common person. Price was a little high.

Reebok Women''s Shapewear Lux Capri

Reebok Women''s Shapewear Lux Capri, Gravel, X-SmallI saw these in Real Simple magazine written up as an exercise capri that fit well on a figure with a "bit of a tummy". That''s me and it does fit wonderfully! No riding up in the crotch, just a comfortable easy fit. I decided to get another pair and discovered that only 2 sizes are offered now. I hope this style isn''t being discontinued. What a shame if it is.

Garmin Forerunner 210 with Heart Rate Monitor (Teal)

Garmin Forerunner 210 with Heart Rate Monitor
  • Easy-to-use, button operated
  • Records position, speed/pace, distance and calorie data
  • Automatic Time zone

My first Garmin GPS sports watch was a Forerunner 305. Worked OK but I was not too fond of carrying a canary cage around on my wrist. And I found most of the menu choices and options irrelevant to what I really needed, which was just to know my pace, distance and elapsed time. I eventually sold it on EBay and "upgraded" to a Forerunner 405. That I found to be a very frustrating piece of equipment: non-intuitive, complicated menus plus a very cranky touch-bezel input method. In a year or so of using that watch, I never got anywhere near comfortable with it. The touch-bezel seemed to have an evil life of its own; I really never could make it work right. And the battery had to be re-charged constantly. Finally, in a fit of frustration, one day I jerked it off my wrist, stomped it to death and threw it in a trashcan. No more Garmin for me for the last year or so.

But, finally, I could no longer deal with not knowing my current pace and started checking out sports watches again. Liked the reviews for the 210 and decided to try one, albeit with great misgivings. Now, after two racewalks using the watch, I can say that I highly recommend it. (Caveat: of course, at this point, I have no idea about long-term dependability.)

I had read that Garmin moved their headquarters and, in the process, got rid of a bunch of their programmers. If that is the case, then perhaps this Garmin 210 is the happy result. Best thing, the irritating touch-bezel is gone! Hooray! Here we have 4 physical buttons. The complicated, hard-to-use menu system is gone, replaced by something easy enough to learn in just a try or two. (Alternatively, you could break down and read the instructions.) The screen does not divide up into slices and offer you choices of what to put into each slice. It just shows you distance at the top (set for miles for kilometers), elapsed time in the middle and pace (set for current or average) at the bottom. Period. Which is all I ever want to see on the watch face, anyway. Fancy stuff like a "virtual runner" is not there. But it saves your history and you can upload runs to Garmin Connect if you want. And it does a few other things that probably some, but not most, users ever actually use. Bottom line is that it''s user-friendly, simple and straight-forward -everything the Forerunner 405, in my opinion, is not. And the battery, unlike the 405, seems to go for a while -they say at least a week or more, depending on use, of course -without having to re-charge.

I give it 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the cable USB connector which ends in a 4-prong clip that has to be aligned with 4 connectors on the back of the watch. Takes some attention to clip it in right and looks to me like an area that might develop trouble. I notice that Garmin makes a big deal out of telling you to clean those connections, which probably means they tend to get unclean very quickly and not work right. Would be great if there was just a simple mini-USB plug to go into the watch, like a camera uses, instead of that bulky clip. But, for now, the clip works fine for me and may never give any trouble, for all I know. Also, I have no idea how the watch will hold up over time.

For anyone who mostly needs just the basic information about their run or other activity and especially for anyone who has become frustrated with one of the touch-bezel models or with other Garmin watch operating systems, this watch could be just what you are looking for. BTW, there is also a Forerunner 110 that is very similar and $50 less but my understanding is that it only shows average pace, not current. That would not work for me.

Buy Garmin Forerunner 210 with Heart Rate Monitor (Teal) Now

Bought this watch as a gift for my wife. I''ve had the Garmin Forerunner 205 for 2.5 years and my wife had been interested in getting her own for some time. The thing that was holding her back was the size of the 205. It just didn''t fit comfortably on her wrist. The 210 solves that problem with it''s compact size and actually offers more features than the 205 (heart rate monitor and interval support). The 210 is so small I would actually consider is reasonable to wear around as a regular men''s sport watch (unlike the 205 it is easy to display time as the primary screen rather than buried in a sub menu).

The only reason I didn''t give 5 stars is the USB connector / recharging cable. The watch has 5 points on the back used for downloading data and charging and to connect it to the computer or power plug you have to use an odd proprietary clip that clamps down on the front and back of the watch. You have to be very careful to line up all 5 of the contact points otherwise charing won''t work. I''m guessing they didn''t use a standard mini-USB for reasons of water resistance, but the clip is not easy to connect to the device and it can slip off of the watch easily. My 205 has a cradle that the watch sits in, I''m not sure why Garmin went away from this approach, but the cradle is clearly preferable to the clip.

If you can get over the clip for charging I highly recommend this watch.

As a side note we also considered the Garmin 110, but did not purchase that because it doesn''t offer real-time pace information. That was a deal breaker for me. If you are considering the 110 spend the few extra dollars for the 210. You won''t be sorry.

After my IMTX training buddies finally convinced me to invest in a Garmin Forerunner, I decided to go with the 210. I did a lot of research and I liked the functionality and look of the 210, and went with that. I bought mine online at REI (had some gift cards) and it came with free standard shipping, and got here just in time for my race last weekend.

So it arrived on Sat and my race was on Sunday morning. It charged fully within a couple hours, and it took me only a few minutes to figure out and complete the initial set up. Another minute later and I had all the basic functionality figured out. On race day (sprint du), it found the satellites very quickly, less than a minute. The run portion was in a park, not on Google-able roads, and the 210 worked as well as I had hoped. It was easy to check my pace, my heartrate and distance without distracting me from the race. I love how it beeps every mile (you can change the default lap distance), but the beep is not too loud to be considered annoying.

I went for another 8mi run at the local park trails and did 3 loops (also a non-Google-able route), and it worked GREAT! Satellites were found in about 10sec. After the first loop, I stopped the 210 while I took a moment to de-layer (it was chilly but I warmed up quicker than I thought). Then re-started it again no issues there. My pace was easy to track and the mileage seemed to be very accurate.

I connected the 210 to my computer when I got home VERY easy to figure that out and install the necessary software. Within about 5min, I had connected and was able to see my run data, from the race and my training run.

Very good GPS watch, very fun and easy to use highly recommend for anyone who wants to make running more fun, or who is as fascinated by data as I am.

I recently bought the Forerunner 410 based on features and reviews. I absolutely hated it and returned it after 3 days. I wrote a separate review on the 410. I got the 210 and love the size for a woman''s wrist. The GPS connects in a few seconds and the features are very easy to use. (With the 410 I ran a 5k with the instruction manual in my hand.) As others have said connecting it up to those 5 tiny contact points that you cannot see is a bit tricky, but it charges fast and I have been able to upload my data into the Garmin Connect website and MapMyRun with ease. I only wear it when I am running or biking and it goes to a power save mode when not in use. The watch lasted a week without running out of battery time. This is using GPS (while running) and running about 20-25 miles per week.

PROS:

Very simple to use

Good size for woman''s wrist

Could use as a regular watch due to it''s size

GPS connects fast

Power save mode

Has pace, distance, intervals, etc

CONS:

The battery contacts are tiny and tricky to get in place

Heart rate monitor strap seems very soft and pliable but cuts into my skin.

WISHES: Had vibration mode for intervals when wearing headphones

Purchased the first Garmin Forerunner 210 on the advice of my fitness trainer. After ten uses indoors, I attempted to synch the watch with my PC. The wrist unit screen flashed bright blue and went dead. Since I was within days of the 30-day Amazon return policy, I hustled to return the Garmin. Amazon sent me an new replacement model quickly. I was thankful the 210 did not fail a week later.

I have had the replacement Forerunner 210 with premium heart monitor for six months. I have been using it both outdoors and indoors. It finds and locks on GPS very consistently. The Garmin Connect web site has been very helpful in tracking tracking and sharing information. After five months of use, the heart monitor failed to connect with the unit. I changed the battery in the heart monitor. To remove the cover, I was required to use a very small jewlery screw driver to release four very, very small screws. One of the screws began to strip, but I was able to remove the cover and change the battery. I''d love to know who what brain surgeon designed the battery cover. Very small jewlery screws??? Really???

The heart monitor worked for two weeks then began to fail even with the new battery. This time I replaced the battery again and the heart monitor failed to take a reading. I am on line now purchasing the basic heart monitor to replace the premium one that has failed. I note others have had issues with the premium monitor also, so I am not buying that one.

This is becoming an expensive investment.

One Exchange Handle: Resistance Band and Tubing AccessoryWell you got me, only one handle came, the photo showed two and one would think they come in pairs since they are needed in pairs (usually). After closer review and I noted it does state One Exchange Handle. 10 bucks for one handle; good one...

adidas Men''s ClimaCore Long-Sleeve Shirt

adidas Men''s ClimaCore Long-Sleeve Shirt, Light Scarlet/White, LargeThe shirt arrived in a bag like package and it had an obvious defect in the Right shoulder, it seems to be unraveling already. I noticed it after wearing the shirt for only 2 hours. Since it arrived in a bag, it makes no sense to send it back that way so i guess i will just wear it as a workout shirt until it completely unravels :(

Great shirt for running. I bought this for my brother in law and he used it in the Houston Marathon. He thought it was perfect.

I''m buying up all the ClimaCool stuff that I find for cheap now a days as I think it''s the best moisture wicking material out there. Adidas has changed to something else called ClimaLite and is discontinuing the Climacool line so now it''s cheap. I find it makes the best base layer for winter running/xc skiing. It dries fast and is comfortable.

I don''t know why the description says ClimaCore...it''s ClimaCool!! It says so on the label of the shirt

Weider MMA VKR Power Tower Home Gym

Weider MMA VKR Power Tower Home GymI purchased this item to add to my weight room. It makes a really nice addition and it is very functional. I wasn''t really sure what to expect (from looking at the online pics), but this item is very sturdy and easy to use. It took awhile to put it together by myself, but the instructions are easy enough to follow. I was very surprised at how well the item was packaged. Everything was individually wrapped and neatly packaged. Very pleased with this purchase!

The product didn''t look like the product I ordered, but that is besides the point. The assembly for this thing (specifically the pull-up bar) is atrocious. I am going to admit right now that I have very little patience for machines that don''t snap together correctly. Especially machines that are made of some bullet proof type alloy that can get a bit heavy after turning, and shifting, and pushing and pulling metal tubes in every direction possible. Don''t get me wrong, I went at this thing for hours and the holes for the screws just wouldn''t align well enough to assemble the friggin thing. I got so upset that after a while I disassembled it and threw the entire machine in the garbage, complete with punching bag. NO MORE WEIDER PRODUCTS IN MY HOUSE. I ordered the Stamina 1700. Awesome machine. It''s sturdy, light enough to be moved without much effort, but strong enough not to wobble when I put my weight on it (200 pounds). This is not a review to warn you not to buy the weider tower. For all I know the thing is magnificent when complete. However, this is a review to warn you that the assembly will require an extra person or two, and if you don''t have the patience don''t set yourself up for failure.

Cross Back Tank

(3117-RY-S) Cross Back Tank, Royal, SmallThis shirt looks terrific in the photo, but it''s not as shown. One plus is that it has black piping around the edges, which makes it lovely. However, it''s clearly a factory defect, which, for the price, is atrocious. What makes the shirt interesting is the crossed straps, but one of the straps has been sewn incorrectly and is twisted, taking what would be a lovely effect and making it look cheap. I wouldn''t recommend it.

APY60:60 Day Power Yoga Home Fitness Workout DVD

APY60:60 Day Power Yoga Home Fitness Workout DVDThis series is exactly like"Yoga For Life" without the workshop and without holding a pose through a commercial. I''ve watched the Veria channel since it came on TV and have practiced "Yoga For Life" for almost 7 years. It''s my favorite yoga program. I was

disappointed to find "Yoga For Life" no longer in its regular time slot on Veria, so I bought APY60.

I found the poses to be identical to those in "Yoga For Life." The "Yoga For Life" DVD is about a 30-35 minute workout with about a 7-10 minute workshop at the beginning. What is different is the 10 minutes of Morning Blends on APY60. The workouts are approximately 40 minutes, with some being a little longer. Then the biggest difference is the change in habits that are part of

the program and the Paleo Diet adopted as the eating plan. I''ve been eating health food for years and am already on the Paleo

Diet. So for me there was no big change. It just allows me to mix up my workout so that I don''t get bored and so my body

doesn''t adapt to the same workout all of the time.

I''ve been doing yoga for over 12 years. I began doing asanas (still poses) with "Yoga Zone." I moved to vinyasas with Kurt

Johnsen''s "Yoga For Life," American Power Yoga "Strength," and American Power Yoga 60. I have other power yoga programs, including "Yoga Zone," Bryan Kest and Mark Blanchard. What I like best about Kurt Johnsen is his saying, "Give me an hour

and I''ll give you the power to change your life." It will. I''m a 65 year old female who has raised my bone density 9% with

Kurt Johnsen''s power yoga. I''m an equestrian who does rough sports like mounted fox hunting. I rely on Kurt Johnsen''s

DVDs to keep me cardio conditioned, flexible, and strengthened. Most equestrians have no fitness program beyond riding &

driving. I might address health issues some more. I have fibromyalgia. I rely on Kurt Johnsen''s workout DVDs to relieve pain for

24 hours. Doing Kurt''s workouts for 6 days per week has allowed me to live a normal life while other fitness training bores me

to death and doesn''t relieve as much pain.

APY60 DVD workouts could confuse a beginner who has never done yoga with Kurt Johnsen''s team before. I disagree with Ms.

Jeremiah, who gave the one negative review. The APY60 poses could never injure a practitioner. The beginning yoga practitioner is to watch the team member who does only modified poses on the far left side of the TV screen at all times. Listen to Kurt''s voice. He will mention alignment in poses such as warrior II. For the person who wants a greatly detailed explanation of the most difficult poses, then I recommend buying "Yoga For Life" to learn the proper alignment for the poses. The workshop explanation is particularly detailed, but proper technique is mentioned throughout all of the workouts. The APY60 DVD is not for a beginning yoga practitioner who has only done asanas (still poses and who has little cardio fitness. However, when I first started doing power yoga with Kurt Johnsen, I did the workouts anyway by pausing the DVD & taking a rest. Gradually, I needed fewer rests &, finally, I needed none.

Compared to Mark Blanchard''s power yoga, APY60 is leisurely paced.

I purchased this system after an impulse buy of Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Power Squad Bod! Body Slimming Yoga. I liked his delivery and wanted something I could follow through the busy holiday season that would keep me on track with my yoga workouts. My flexibility used to be fantastic, but is limited by weight gain as I have aged. I state this because those who think they are "too big" to do yoga, I don''t necessarily feel that is so and unlike some programs geared toward bigger people--this will challenge you versus just making you feel like you wasted your time with some minimal "stretching" movements. It is as hard or as easy as you make it physically.

The system consists of 10 full length (averaging 45-50 minute) workouts, a bonus endurance workouts you can use weights with, and 10 weeks of morning blends. It also consists of a nutrition guide and cookbook, but what''s neat to me is that there is something new every week in video format as well. There is a work book to guide you through the morning blends (as well as a smaller one to carry), and rubber bracelets if you choose to use them to remind you of your intention/goals of the day, stickers if you choose to use them to remind you of things like taking a deep breath or smiling (you put these in areas you are likely to see, i.e., for me the take a deep breath would be on the dashboard to remind me to take one during traffic).

The workouts are sound, Kurt''s delivery and interaction with the entire "class" is great. I *do* feel like I''m in a live yoga class because even if he or someone else goes off script, which isn''t often, it''s just part of the class. The music is nice, what you expect for quality yoga DVDs, and the set is like a yoga studio. I would say a beginner through advanced intermediate will definitely grow with this system. He incorporates pieces of martial arts including qigong and tai chi type movements as. He shows or explains at least 1 modification for each movement, sometimes everyone in the class (4 people plus Kurt, the people rotate weekly) is in a different position of a pose. These are "power" yoga workouts, but they are in my opinion not yoga on crack. The posts are not done at breakneck injury-inducing speed I''ve seen in some live and video classes. The idea here is that while some poses are tough, such as life, keeping your breath calm through them is the goal. It does carry over into life as anyone who practices yoga can agree. Yoga is not about downward dogs and the physical poses, and I like that Kurt makes sure that is clear. Kurt thoroughly explains the movements, keeps the flow going so it is not a choppy program, and you feel stretched AND RELAXED by the time you are done. During the classes I always got into the zone and time flew by. You do the same workout week for 6 days, with a new morning blend daily, for 10 weeks in a row. Each week''s workout has a slightly different focus, but they all come together throughout the program. I know for me I loved having the ability to go deeper into a pose I could not previously or just attempting it was very empowering.

Now the BEST part of this system to me is the morning blends. These are about 10-20 minute blends you do in the morning before you get started with your day. You don''t need a mat. They consist of physical movement, setting intentions or goals for the day, and yes meditation. Kurt designed his system to appeal to more Westerners so you are not going to hear "Om" (which does not bother me, but for some people it''s a turn off). I find these to be dessert BEFORE eating that are 100% calorie free. There are 6 NEW daily blends for the entire 10 weeks for a total of 60 different blends. Some of the challenges are simple such as putting your fork down between bites as far as meals, others more challenging to do with personal growth. Kurt does not "require" anything (this is not a boot-camp mentality or punish your body program) to be done; my take, was he wants you to take what you need from this program for now and leave the rest, understanding needs change daily. I cannot say enough about the morning blends and even on my off day I did one because they are addictive and you feel great to set the tone and mood for your day.

All in all, I think this is a great system with sound nutritional advice, for me it empowered me to make a lot of changes in the 60 days I did it career and health wise, and I craved the daily blends. WTG Kurt!

I am 44-years-old and have struggled with my flexibility for years. I had trouble getting out of bed in the morning and had to give up some much-loved activities.

I am on Day 14 of this program and am loving it. I slowly but surely am feeling better and better. I already feel 15 years younger. Most surprisingly, it has de-stressed me in so many ways, beyond the physical. And I do anticipate getting back into jiu jitsu (which I had given up due to injuries) soon.

The program is beautifully laid out, Kurt could not be more encouraging. Don''t get me wrong: this program is hard work. I find it quite challenging, but never more than I can handle.

I cannot say enough about this program. Buy it. Trust me. If you simply follow the instructions you will feel like a new person soon.

Since there are other reviews that give a break-down of APY60, I''d like to just share what it''s doing for me. I am a 40yo mama of five, 100+ pounds overweight, and about to begin week 4. I was already a Kurt Johnsen fan from his Strength DVD (I was so much more fit back then!) and later the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader one. As a very flexible person the moves I cannot effectively do are because of my belly fat or lack of strength~but that''s changing! I do a lot of the modifications and always start every move, sometimes stopping and waiting for the next move if it''s too much. By the end of the week''s practice I am able to do most everything (still with the modifications done by the modifier). Keep in mind I am taking this at my own pace! I try to blend every day (my kids also enjoy the Daily Blends!), but I often repeat a day''s Blend until I can follow it with a practice, as some days I''m sore and needing a rest. This means it takes me longer to finish a week, but I find that I come back stronger the next day. :)

I am also a CrAzY Christian lady, my faith is still intact, and I am so happy with how APY60 is changing my outlook on life for the better! I share this for those who think yoga and faith cannot coexist. APY60 does not feel "hokey". By Day 4 I noticed changes in my posture~it felt like my butt was very high up on my back~LOL! By Day 10 I felt like I could flourish in life, even under scrutiny. At Day 17 my stomach feels very, very, very tight~even though you can''t see it with the eye under all the fat. ;) It''s actually difficult to slouch, even though I have ridonkulous boobilage. I FEEL like a slim lady, even though I''m not (yet). I am better at overcoming life''s stress, and there is a huge difference in my lung capacity! The quickness of these changes are incredible to me having been big into weight lifting in the past.

The nutritional changes are introduced gradully~I love the way this system builds upon itself! I have honestly not kept up with all of them, but I look forward to doing so. The recipes are yummy and AMAZING! I am finding that I am naturally not eating past full and incorporating better eating habits without thought. I cannot wait to discover how much more my life will be changed at the end of Day 60, and then I look forward to doing it again! :) It truly is a life-changing system. I did not believe that yoga really could change so much outside of the physical!

None of the positive reviews are from employees of Apy60! The program works, and that is why u will only see one bad review. I knew nothing about yoga and my husband refused to even try yoga, but Kurt''s easy to follow instructions and his funny personality had us both hooked. I started Apy60 2 months after having my baby and I lost 60 pounds and my hubby lost 30. I don''t suffer from anxiety attacks anymore and I am happier and healthier inside and out! Kurt doesn''t expect to be your crutch, he will teach you how to incorporate yoga into your everyday life and even create your own routine. This is my second round doing this series and I''m learning more things than the first time. It''s not only yoga, it''s mediation, appreciation, reflection and a total lifestyle change for the better. I cannot say enough on how this program has made me a better person!

Fitnus Chart -Chest Workout 23''x35''I bought these (this) poster to add to our home gym for referance (and to settle arguments about what muscle is what etc.) I am very pleased with the quality & illustrations. I put them in plastic frames, even thought they''re laminated, and they fit well & were easier to mount on the wall. I recomend this series of posters.

Proform Trailrunner 4.0 Treadmill

Proform Trailrunner 4.0 Treadmill with Built-in Web BrowserThis well built midrange treadmill may be called the Trailrunner 4.0, and it may run Android 2.2, but the Internet portion feels like version 0.95 beta. In other words, it''s a good midrange treadmill with a not-ready-for-prime-time tablet attached to it. I got the Proform as a Gold Box buy for what a comparable treadmill would cost without the Android add-on. The Sole F80 Sole F80 Treadmill (2011 Model) is a probably a better choice if it''s less money. Certainly don''t pay more for the iFit Live features at this point.

PEDIGREE Proform is owned by ICON Health, a larger corporation, like GM, which brands a nearly identical treadmill under different brand names. This one is also sold under the NordicTrack brand name, and maybe others. Proform is probably the Chevy, and NordicTrack is probably the Buick :) I''ve used their equipment in gyms without issue. The idea of this model is to have an Internet connected treadmill with custom workouts and google map charted jogging paths.

SHIPPING Fair arrived 2 weeks after I ordered, and 7 days after Amazon estimated it would. The delivery men will drop it off past the threshold of your front door. I hope you have a strong back, a strong dolly, and perhaps some other moving tools...as with all well built treadmills, this one''s a 400 lb beast. Inside, the treadmill and its parts arrived well packed, well protected, and in good condition. You''ll need a big garbage can, and probably a box knife, to break down the packaging to fit in the trash.

ASSEMBLY Fair Getting the box off was a huge pain, though I think it would be for any treadmill by mail. The lower part of the treadmill is fully assembled; most of the work involves getting the control deck attached. Make sure you have two strong-backed people, a screwdriver, and a medium sized adjustable wrench. You will have to lift the 400lb treadmill at least three times during assembly. All the parts fit together pretty well, with pretty small tolerances. Kudos to Proform for good quality control on the mechanical parts. WARNING: If you live alone, are prone to hernias, or have ANY sort of muscle or joint problems, PAY FOR ASSEMBLY. You can''t order assembly via Amazon, but the treadmill packaging does contain an offer to call in some people. Even if you''re strong, there''s a decidedly unsafe part of the process that involves installing the support strut while the gigantic treadmill is held free-hand over your head. Proform, if you''re reading this, please consider pre-installing this strut at the factory. This last step is an accident waiting to happen, though I''m not sure if any other folding treadmill would be different.

BASIC OPERATION very good When you plug in the machine, it takes about 30 seconds to boot the Android operating system.

It plays a very well produced infomercial on how wonderful your new treadmill is. Plugging in the magnetic safety key shuts it up. (don''t lose it, or you won''t be able to use the treadmill)

BUILD QUALITY very good

Build quality is well above average, and certainly competitive for its price range. The unit does not flex or vibrate very easily. It feels solid under your feet, but the thud-thud sound of your shoes isn''t muted like it is on the $3,000 Precor machines. But for a folding treadmill in this price class, it''s darned good.

The motor is reasonably quiet, and the 3.8hp rating is higher than most at this price. Treadmill belt has good traction. The belt has slightly rough edges, which don''t affect performance, but also don''t compare well against more expensive machines. Rollers are larger than average, which should increase longevity. There''s adjustable cushioning. My gimpy knees did fine on a light 30 minute run.

Large one touch buttons for speed and incline allow quick adjustments. Inexplicably, they do not work unless you are already running. On other treadmill models, such as Horizon, AFG, and even lower end proform models, these same buttons work at any time; you can hit the 5mph button from a stop and immediately start running.

The big 10" touchscreen is great for basic operation: Tap go, and a very nice display lets you run in manual mode. The touchscreen controls work great in the basic running modes, where the buttons are large and easy to read. The information displays are top notch, though I wish they had a way to cycle through screens automatically. The display is big, bright and easy to read. If you are 5''10 like me, viewing angles are great. If you are 5''2" like my wife, the screen washes out. Proform obviously opted for a cheaper TN panel, rather than the wider angle IPS panel on the iPAD and other nicer tablets.

Unlike most Android phones and tablets, the screen does not appear to cycle off to save power. The off switch is inconveniently located at the bottom front of the treadmill. (for safety reasons, I don''t think ANY treadmill has a convenient power switch)

Sound quality of the built in speakers is fair, fitting somewhere between a good laptop and a bad boombox. You''re not going to rock the house with these, but more than acceptable while jogging. There is an easy to use 3.5mm "aux-in" and an included cable to plug in any mp3 player. The stickers say "iPod compatible", but this aux-in is not as well integrated as other treadmills which include the proprietary Apple dock connector and integrated music controls. (I bet that incurs a hefty Apple licensing fee, which is why it isn''t here) Besides, Apple changes their docking plugs every year, anyway.

ADVANCED OPERATION Poor Frustrating, especially since the problems are easy to fix.

Speaking of Apple, I hate their corporate culture, and I refuse to buy their products. However, they didn''t sell a zillion iPads and iPhones making bad product. A two year old can figure out an iPad, and millions of non-tech people happily consume iPhones. You don''t need manuals to run most Apple products to most of their potential. I should also say that I''m an Android fanatic, and that had a part in my choosing this treadmill. I have the original Motorola Droid, and I have it customized and hacked to it''s utmost. So I''m no stranger to electronics.

There''s no way on earth a non-technical user would ever figure this machine out. Basic menus are too basic, and configuration is difficult to find. There''s no initial setup wizard. The product manual could be written better; it seems to expect you to jump to page 27 for this, then remember to come back to page 4 for that. Again, from a product design perspective, well designed products should not require the manual for at least 80% of their functionality...and most other treadmills succeed in this regard. Setting up wireless was relatively simple...once I found it...and once I managed to get my fricking password typed in.

This exposes you to the single greatest failure of the product: the lousy resistive touchscreen. Typing is aggravatingly inaccurate, even with the treadmill at 0mph. The letters are gigantic compared to a phone, but nowhere near as precise. You either press one letter lightly and get the next letter over, or you can push hard and get the correct letter twice. The delete button works about one fourth of the time. Unlike what the paid shill reviewers have said, pushing hard or soft doesn''t improve the accuracy. It took me an eternity to enter a 14 character wireless password. Registering for the iLive account (which requires entering a 16 digit alphanumeric code) was even more frustrating. Do yourself a favor and register the iFit account on the website using your desktop or laptop. Pick a short username and password, because you still have to put it into the treadmill at least once.

Proform''s manual says to calibrate the touchscreen. I did manage to find the two separate calibrator programs. The first is relatively easy to find in the configuration menu. The second is on the Android desktop in the app drawer to the right. No way a non-techie person would find these. The improvement was marginal; it''s still far worse than any phone or tablet I''ve used so far. Leagues away from the standard that non-technical people have come to expect from the capacitive touchscreens in iPhones, iPads, and pretty much all recent smartphones. You can make it tolerable by using a pencil eraser instead of your finger. For your safety, I would only use the eraser head of an unsharpened pencil, and even then, only when the treadmill is parked.

BROWSER Poor

Even after I updated the firmware (which has warnings about known bugs) and calibrated the touchscreen (both of which are tricky to find), the browsing experience is simply does not live up to Proform''s video hype.

As previously mentioned, the resistive touchscreen is pitifully poor. Entering web addresses is frustrating and inaccurate. Multi-touch pinch to zoom is not supported, meaning that this could be a lower cost resistive touchscreen. Half the time when you are trying to scroll, it clicks links instead. The stock Android browser isn''t as fast as your modern 1GHz smartphone or tablet. There is no apparent way to create your own custom bookmarks, though the Android browser does auto-remember your history. Android fanatics, you''ll probably recognize the browser as the stock 2.2 browser. Because Icon cheaped out and put in a resistive touchscren, pinch to zoom doesn''t work, nor does scrolling about a fourth of the time. Just frustrating, especially since spending $20-50 more for a quality capacitive touchscreen overlay is all it would take to make this a much better product. Shame on you, Icon Health, especially since this product debuted with a $3,000 MSRP, and sells for $1700 street. If this wasn''t attached to the treadmill, this would be equivalent to the chintzy $150 tablet at KMart.

You can make everything better with a touchscreen stylus, (or the aforementioned pencil eraser) but I have some safety concerns about using anything but your fingers on a moving treadmill.

You can access the browser from almost any screen, but realistically, it''s only marginally safe to use it at the minimum speed of 1 mph. Don''t even try to use this finicky beast while walking fast, let alone jogging or running. Youtube and Dailymotion are pre-bookmarked, but it''s not really practical to watch videos while exercising. Video quality is the Android default 320p, which is to say grainy and barely watchable. If you''re always on wifi, shouldn''t you make it default to at least 480p quality?

Facebook is bookmarked. Even if you manage to get your password in correctly, you still will have a hard time simply scrolling up and down the touch version of the facebook site. Nothing to do with Facebook, everything to do with the lousy touchscreen. Good luck posting unless the treadmill is parked. If you are so hard up on internet devices, that you need this treadmill for Facebook, buy a cheaper treadmill and a Nook Color for $250. You''ll be much happier.

Yahoo music is included, but as soon as you switch back to the treadmill display, the music cuts off.

Android''s stock launcher screen is hidden from normal view, though you can find it under "Anroid Desktop" in the configuration menus. There is no way to install Android apps, as Android Market is missing. I haven''t tried the developer''s sidedoor (ADB) to install apps, but frankly, playing Angry Birds while jogging probably isn''t a good idea, anyway.

CUSTOM WORKOUTS WITH GOOGLE MAPS Fair

This is the feature that really got my attention in the promo videos. Set up your run on google maps, and it will provide incline and street view photographs as you go.

When you try to download an iFit workout, it just sits at 0% forever, or says "no workouts available." Turns out you have to set them up on the web browser (do yourself a solid and set it up on your laptop), then download those workouts from the treadmill. (suggestion to Proform: when you create your custom workouts, and it should "push" to the treadmill automatically) Creating a custom map route isn''t difficult on the desktop, once you figure it out. Don''t even try to set up anything on the treadmill browser; the drunken touchscreen is too frustrating.

This is NOT an intuitive process. You have to log in to the iFit Live website (preferably on your laptop) and create your route there. There are some interesting pre-set routes there. Drawing a custom route isn''t too hard, just click on point A, point B (and more if necessary) to make your route. Once you''ve added them to your schedule (kind of like a Netflix queue), you have to go back to the treadmill, click on iFit Live, and click to download them to the treadmill. Of note, you MUST run the first route on your schedule no matter what; you cannot choose from your routes on the treadmill. The workaround is to arrange the order on the website before you go on the treadmill to download them. Proform, this could be improved without making the product more expensive.

Just as promised, you can look at a google map or better, yet, streetview photographs as you''re running. The photographs refresh about every 5-10 seconds. Image quality could be better, and you can''t pan and scan around. (not that you probably should while running). It''s better than staring at red LED dots, but it''s not nearly as crystal clear as Streetview appears on your PC or Mac.

CUSTOM WORKOUT PLANS Fair

You can download these from the iFit website. Just like the Google maps routes, you queue them up on the website, then walk over to the treadmill and download them. Also like the map routes, you can only run the first one in the queue. As an added bonus, the voice of Jillian Michaels narrates along every minute or so. (volume buttons are easy to reach if you aren''t a Biggest Loser fan). She seems to be more peppy than angry, but may that''s because I weigh less than the treadmill''s 350lb maximum capacity. What''s also unclear is how much iFitLive will cost after the one year membership is over, and what features disappear if you decide not to renew it.

HEART RATE MONITOR Fair

Don''t bother; it''s so erratic, I didn''t bother checking it against my Polar strap. Moist hands do help with these contact sensors. It does not have a wireless sensor for heart rate monitors. (that''s in the $2,000 treadmill club) There aren''t any heart rate control programs on the treadmill, anyway. To be fair, most contact sensors don''t work well for me, either...heart rate straps are still the most accurate way. (outside of EKGs)

OVERALL RATING Good, but just barely

Decent treadmill overall if it goes on sale. Otherwise, consider comparable models for less money without the Android browser, and buy yourself a nook color or iPad with the difference. Or if you''re feeling lucky, use it with a touchscreen stylus.

Build quality: 4 stars

Basic Workouts: 4 stars

iFit Live: 2 stars

Google Maps: 2 stars

Browser: 1 star

Overall: 3 stars, but just barely. EDIT: Now 2 stars, read below.

SUGGESTIONS FOR ICON HEALTH/ PROFORM:

Spend some extra dimes on a capacitive touchscreen, and give it a panel with wider viewing angles for short people.

Make the workouts selectable from the machine.

Make the product easier to use.

Clearly label the advanced menu icons in the lower right.

Put the support strut in at the factory.

Make the product less expensive, as is the treadmill is probably a decent value for $1300, and a winner at $1100. It''s a fair deal at $1700, and a "Biggest Loser" at the original $3000 MSRP.

ADDENDUM 02-19-2011:

TECH SUPPORT:

I appear to be one of the lucky ones, as my machine pretty much worked out of the box, with a little tweaking. So I didn''t have to call tech support. I really doubt that Pro-Form is set up to support the Android part of the product, and I doubt iFit is set up to support a treadmill. I don''t have any confidence in tech support from ANYONE I''ve purchased a consumer product from, and given they couldn''t design it right, I doubt that they can support it right, either.

GETTING STARTED:

A couple of tips if you decide to get this, which will make the treadmill work a bit better.

When you first get it, tap the little button in the lower right, and then tap the wireless network setup.

After you get wifi working (hopefully), click the little button in the lower right twice to get into the hardware config menu.

Run the firmware update. It took me a couple of tries for it to connect successfully, could be a slow server.

Reboot Android. (or just turn the whole machine off and on)

Run the screen calibrator, using a rubber eraser head of a pencil

Go to the Android Desktop, tap the menu on the very right edge of the screen. When the programs pop out, pick the Screen Calibrator and run that one, too.

Calibrate the incline.

Does this sound user friendly? NO!

TREADMILL STALLING BUG:

Very often, you hit Start to run a program, and the treadmill motor doesn''t start. Actually, it almost NEVER starts, not with the programs, and not on the manual mode. You have to hit the big red STOP button, then tap RESUME on the screen, and THEN starts to go. The quick set incline and speed buttons will not work unless the motor is running. The first time it happened, I shrugged it off. But now that it happens every time, I''m starting to get pissed. Not quite enough to take it apart and return it, but getting really close.

YAHOO MUSIC:

It''s an entertaining diversion, but as mentioned before, once you enter the browser (I do it with my feet parked on the sides), you cannot return to the the treadmill software without cutting off the music. Thankfully, the speed and incline buttons still work in the web browser mode. Also, the buttons to change stations don''t work reliably. It seems like they tried to implement flash on the music site, and Android can''t really do flash with a bottom-of-the-barrel-CPU. Heck, you can''t scroll up and down without the music cutting and stalling. I think you''re better off starting Pandora on your smartphone and plugging it into the aux-in jack (which does work as it should), or an mp3 player.

POWER SWITCH:

After using it every time for a week, it''s starting to get annoying. The switch feels really cheap and flimsy, and I''m afraid that it won''t last. I''m probably going to go pick up a surge protector with its own on off floor switch.

REVISED OVERALL RATING: 2 Stars....I''m sorry, but I''m starting to feel I overpaid for this. The treadmill is good, but I really wish I had listened to everyone else and bought a Sole or Horizon machine instead. My wife still likes it; she just hits the basic presets and starts running. As soon as you use it beyond the most basic treadmill functionality, you''ll start to get frustrated. As I said, it''s a four star treadmill bolted to a one star control panel.

I would be reluctant to recommend this product to anyone without serious computer know how...and nerdy people don''t always have the strong backs required to assemble it. If you can get it for around $1,000, and only use the basic presets, you''ll be happy. You can do that easily...by buying a different treadmill.

Yes, I see all the one-star reviews. Therefore, I plan to update this post frequently. While the ProForm may be running flawlessly today, it may flatline tomorrow. So, know that I am here to be objective and to help anyone thinking about buying this product (see my other reviews and know that I am a very frank reviewer). As of today, here is my experience (down to the delivery!):

-Delivery: A nightmare. The treadmill was shipped via Home Delivery. They were late for their first delivery (scheduled for "sometime between 7:00AM and 11:00 AM") and thus missed us (we both teach at a university and cannot skip a class because of a late delivery). Now, I informed them that they we teach and could not wait after 11:00AM, I guess they thought we were not serious. When I called to reschedule, the delivery company was rude and redirected me to a Home Direct representative. When the Home Direct rep called the delivery people, they hung up on her twice. Good god. They rescheduled for days later (this time between 1:00PM and 5:00PM ... they showed up around 5:45PM and we had to cancel our dinner reservations). The delivery men were incensed that the treadmill was for a second floor work-out room ... and though they got it upstairs (with the assistance of my significant other), they plopped it in the hallway: all 350 pounds of it. Needless to say, moving it was an epic chore. Maybe your experience will be better, but I would rank it as equal to dealing with the "cable company." And, though you would think that ordering this expensive machine would earn one some "white glove treatment," the fact of the matter is they they regarded us with disdain (as though we were causing them undue aggravation). Exhausting.

-Assembly: While it has very few pieces to assemble, the sheer strength required is daunting. This thing is a bear!!!! Though it took us no more than ninety-minutes to put it together, they were a hard-fought ninety. My earnest opinion is that ProForm made this as easy as possible for the customer (by having as few pieces as humanly possible). It is a massive, massive machine and it requires some physical effort to assemble it. (Read: this is a two-person job -AT LEAST!!) The good news? There was not one single "glitch" or error ... the treadmill was brought online and fully functional on the first try. Simple as that. Nice, right? (Follow all directions to the letter and you should experience similarly positive results.)

-Operations: The belt is wide. This is very much welcome in comparison to some of the narrower belts we have experienced -it''s a bit more luxurious. The ProForm experience is very smooth and it absorbs shock well. My better-half was at a full-run for a sustained period had no issues with shock. Likewise, we were both surprised at how quiet the motor is! We have all used "loud" treadmills in the gym, but this one is much more quiet than ever expected. (When I am in the hallway with the door closed, I cannot even hear it! Ditto for when I am downstairs beneath it.) It has up to a 15% incline (6% is as high as I have ventured thus far ... and that alone was smooth and challenging). It runs up to twelve m.p.h. (I have only taken it to seven ... that was also very smooth and challenging). Now, I am having a little difficulty getting a consistent reading with the heart monitor. Currently, it is jumping all over! I have a feeling with a little more practice and reading, I will understand what I''m doing wrong. (I will update this once I figure out if it is my fault or an innate inconsistency with the machine. Right now, I assume it is my fault). Additionally, the touch-screen seems a little hinky right now (nothing like the sensitivity or the accuracy of the iPod Touch.) It seems I have to touch a little below each character ... I''m going to see if I can adjust the alignment a bit. (I will report back with my results). Even still, it does work!

-iPod feature: It would have been optimal to have a little dock on the front (maybe where the book-rest is), but that it exists at all is pretty neat. Basically, you plug the iPod into the side of the console and set it in the cup-holder area (There are two cup-holders, so it''s not taking up the only designated space for one''s water-bottle. No worries there!). It plays through the console-speakers (which are "nice-enough").

-iFit feature: The treadmill comes with a free, one-year subscription to iFit. In the stack of paperwork, you will find an iFit flier -don''t toss it! It has your membership code on it. It am still tinkering with all the exciting aspects of this option, but here''s what I''ve accomplished so far. It was raining today, so I plotted my usual route on iFit.com. Then, I went over to the treadmill. It was there! And, with Google Earth, I could literally see what I usually see out for my daily run ... the tree-lined roads, the dry-cleaner, the bagel-shoppe, everything! One can see it from an aerial-view or from a first-person perspective. Very cool. Additionally, one can choose what regimen works best for one''s goals. There is 1.) weight loss, 2.) get fit, 3.) power walking. and 4.) performance. The work-outs are progressive and customized to the needs you select. Oh, did I mention that you can choose Jillian Michaels as your trainer?! (Love her!) I have completed two of the work-outs so far ... they are exactly challenging enough! Both had great, effective cool-downs! (There will be more to come as I experiment with this feature!)

Thus far, the Pro-Form is an amazing machine -and, now I cannot picture my life without it. One can make these work-outs intense and the machine can handle it! The web-features and the iFit program are an absolute boon. Thus far, my experience has been wholly positive (especially as I move farther from the delivery fiasco). I will report back here often I discover new features, make adjustments, or experience problems. Good luck in your search for the perfect treadmill (though, this may very well be exactly that!!)

Buy Proform Trailrunner 4.0 Treadmill Now

I''ve been using this treadmill for about six weeks now and these are the things you should know when deciding whether to buy this treadmill.

DELIVERY:

It took approximately three weeks to arrive after I ordered it from Amazon.

When it was delivered it was literally strapped to a huge pallet. It was so big they couldn''t get it in the house. It''s possible the delivery guys just didn''t WANT to get it in the house, but I was in agreement because I didn''t really want the dirty pallet inside anyways. So I had them put it in the middle of my garage and we unpacked it and assembled it there. This wasn''t a big deal for me because I live in a house, but if I were in an apartment it would have presented a bigger problem.

ASSEMBLY:

My husband didn''t have any trouble assembling it. He did it by himself and didn''t require any help from me except to support a couple pieces while he screwed them in.

It required a trip to the dump when he was done because there was so much excess packaging with the wood pallet etc. This meant another week or two of my garage being inaccessible because he didn''t go right away. That was a pain, but not the treadmill''s fault.

Even though this thing is gigantic and very heavy, we were able to get it in the house using the wheels on the bottom. It was big and awkward but not unmanageable. We did have to flip through the manual to figure out how we were supposed to move it, but the instructions were in there.

STARTUP:

Just getting it turned on was a major undertaking. The little red key, which is vital to the treadmill''s function, was tucked in the plastic bag with the manual and I didn''t find it right away. Silly me, thinking I could turn it on and use the treadmill without reading the manual first.

Wrong.

Reading the manual for this thing is an absolute must because the menus are confusing and frequently feel like a dead end. I didn''t read all the pamphlets that came with the treadmill until I couldn''t figure out how to work the darn thing. After reading them I realized I was doing several things wrong and was worried I had broken it already. You shouldn''t have to worry about breaking a heavy piece of machinery like that just from using it without downloading the latest firmware.

This thing is the opposite of intuitive. I had to read every page of the manual before I could even navigate, and I consider myself to be fairly technologically savvy. I design blogs, I can run a dSLR camera, and I love my computer and smart phone. It should not have been so difficult to navigate around the Android interface. Even after six weeks of using this thing it still feels really clunky and awkward to navigate.

SURGE PROTECTOR NOT INCLUDED:

You have to buy your own surge protector, since it doesn''t come with one, to ground the treadmill or it will blow out your circuit. Ask me, and my defrosted subzero freezer, how I know. If it is so vital to the treadmill''s function, this piece should have been included, especially when you are paying so much for the machine.

OPERATION:

Once I finally got my wireless connected, used my laptop to set up my iFit account (no way was I going to use the touch screen to do it, that would have taken forever) and got the firmware updated, all of which took a couple of hours over the course of two days, I finally got to try the treadmill.

The built-in integration with iFit.com is very, VERY cool (when it works). I love having access to pre-progammed workouts from Jillian Michaels and Elizabeth Hasselbeck, and the ability to adjust them to be harder or easier. I like that it takes you through progressive workouts with a different routine every day. The workouts are designed to give you interval training and they seem to be well thought out. This is the biggest selling point of the treadmill for me.

Unfortunately, this program seems to be extremely glitchy and there have been several mornings I got up, got dressed in my running shoes, psyched myself up for a great workout and got on only to stand there for 15+ minutes trying in vain to get it to download the iFit workout. My wireless signal was good and the green iFit light was lit on the treadmill, so there is no logical reason for it not to have worked. It just froze forever on the download screen and never went anywhere. Several times this has happened to me, and when it does there seems to be nothing I can do about it except give up and try again the next day. The next day, again for no explicable reason, iFit will (sometimes) suddenly work again.

Considering that this is the feature I am most interested in using, it''s extremely frustrating that it is so unreliable.

There have also been times where the program did download completely, but when the program started the belt on the treadmill didn''t move at all. Pausing the program and then pressing resume seemed to "wake it up" but it was just another reminder that this thing has a mind of its own.

The built-in programs on the treadmill are challenging and there are quite a few of them that can be used without a wireless connection, which is good because you can''t count on iFit for your workout.

The ''built in web browser'' is pretty sad and virtually unusable when you''re going more than 2.2 MPH. Even after calibrating the touchscreen I have a hard time typing anything into it. It doesn''t support any websites with video, so you can forget about watching Netflix or Hulu, which was something I looked forward to doing. This was the one feature that I was sure would set it apart from my old boring non-web-browser treadmill. I guess you could scroll through Facebook or a news website, but it''s pretty tedious and hard to do while running, or even walking fast. I eventually went back to doing what I do on all the plain jane treadmills at the gym: reading a book or watching netflix on my iPhone. I don''t count on the treadmill to entertain me at all.

BODY:

This is a solid machine. Nice and wide and runs fairly quietly. I have it in a room directly above my son''s room and I never wake him up when I use it. My old Norditrack treadmill had to be moved to the basement because it shook the whole house when we had it upstairs. This one doesn''t do that.

The buttons to change the incline, speed, and volume are all big and easy to find.

It''s sturdy, and although very heavy it can be moved by one person.

It has a much steeper maximum incline (15%) and a higher maximum speed than my old Norditrack treadmill or the ones I use at the gym. I doubt that I will ever need it to go 12 MPH, but it can.

I wish there was a fan built in. This is a feature on my cheaper treadmill that I really enjoy.

The book shelf works great and will keep my book held firmly in place or provides a nice ledge for my Kindle or iPhone to sit on.

OVERALL IMPRESSION:

My biggest complaint with this treadmill is that it is unreliable. Sometimes it connects with iFit no problem, and other days it gets ''stuck'' searching for the connection and never gets there. There is absolutely nothing you can do to shock the treadmill into behaving. The wireless either works or it doesn''t. If the touchscreen freezes or just decides to stop working, there isn''t a whole heck of a lot you can do about it.

I still don''t know how to turn the darn thing off because the instructions in the manual are a little unclear. They seem to want me to completely unplug it from the power source, but then it seems to forget all my information and it takes twice as long to get going in the morning.

I was given one of these treadmills in exchange for an honest review, and as much as I wanted to love it, I just don''t. I use it and I like it, but mostly because it was free. I think if I had paid big bucks for it I would have been sorely disappointed in how glitchy it is, and I would most likely be trying to get my money back. If you''re wanting a good sturdy treadmill that you can control manually, there are cheaper ones out there that will do that. If you''re looking to use iFit workouts, you do get a free year of it with the purchase of this machine, but it''s unreliable and frustrating when it doesn''t work. If you''re looking for a treadmill that can surf the internet and let you watch movies while you''re on it, keep looking. This one isn''t quite there.

So I guess my overall impression is that there are a few things I like but the overall experience has been frustrating and tedious. I wouldn''t recommend this treadmill to a friend.

UPDATE*****

I''ve now been using this treadmill for almost a year and I thought I''d give an update.

After switching internet companies and getting a new wireless router, the reliability did improve. I can usually connect to iFit without problem, although it does still occasionally refuse to download my workout and no amount of pleading will persuade it. On those days it''s best to just shut it off and walk away, hoping for better luck the next day.

Aside from that, my biggest complaint with this treadmill is that it does not allow you to program any custom routines. I would love to input the walk/jog sequences for Couch to 5K and then use my iPhone to watch Netflix, but I''m unable to do that. The relationship between Proform and iFit has pretty much guaranteed that you will have to buy a membership with iFit in order to not get bored with your routines. I find that extremely annoying.

One year later, I still give it two stars.

Even though I love gadgets and computers, I find it ridiculous and frustrating that nowadays everything, from TVs to refridgerators to pacemakers, runs some sort of computer operating system, from Linux to Windows CE to others. This has resulted in TVs and DVD players, for example, being increasingly difficult to use and beign increasingly non-responsive to user input. This treadmill is another example.

The hardware of this Proform (made by the same company that makes pretty all the consumer treadmills in the U.S., under many different brands) is solid. It''s really heavy. I hired two strong guys to help me and it was still a royal pain for the three of us strong people to assemble it. This is a treadmill, unlike the inexpensive ones sold at sporting goods stores, that will withstand a lot of abuse and use and whatnot.

Unfortunately, this treadmill relies on an operating system, specifically the Android system based on Linux. I''m feeling my blood pressure rising as I type this, because Android has made this treadmill impossible to use. It crashes frequently, it would not boot up sometimes, and, most baneful of all, it''s really, really, really slow. I''d press a button and get no response after 5 seconds. I''d never be sure if it registered my press or not. The Google map feature is a complete joke. It requires a very strong 802.11g/n WiFi signal, which I do have, and it updates the street view every 5-10 seconds, which you can see is ridiculously low for a refresh rate. I''d often see a (fuzzy) picture of the beginning of a street block and the next update shows me the end of the block. Most of the pictures -I''ve "run" in different cities arond the country -are fuzzy and very low resolution.

Problems with the Android system makes this treadmill a pain to use, even after I stopped using the street view feature long ago. I now just use it as a basic treadmill. As a matter of fact, I''m afraid to use the rest of the Android system. Video streaming never worked for me, at all. You cannot install 3rd-party apps. It just seems that touching anything beyond the workout controls can crash the system. The LCD touchscreen is also not very bright and it appears to be of the older, cheaper resistive type, not the more natural capacitive type, so it often does not register a swipe or flick, or even a tap.

Late last year I saw a similar model for sale at my local Costco warehouse, for less than half of the street price here. It may be a good buy at that price, provided you stay away from using any of the tablet features. Just use it for workouts. I installed a Vizio TV hooked up to a Toshiba wifi Blu-ray player in front of the treadmill (got both for under 250 at Costco), and I can now exercise without worrying about things not working.

After seeing this on Amazon''s deal of the day, I purchased it. We had been looking at the Sole treadsmills, but, when this was $700.00 cheaper it felt like a no-brainer. Wow was I wrong. After assembly it took forever to just turn on, at least 15 minutes after I tried turning it on. Then I went to imput the i-fit code and it would not work. So I did a quick 10 minute walk to check it out I thought it was ok. The next morning I tried to do a real workout but it would not turn on period. I was on hold with Proforms service forever, then the tech told me to check to see if it was plugged in, are you kidding. They had no idea what was wrong. I did however get that workout taking it back apart and repacking it. You get what you pay for I quess. I thought $1300 would get me a working treadmill, but I was wrong. Great Amazon service though, one phone call and instantly got a return. Thanks Amazon, shame on Proform. Stay away.
