I prefer an actual clasp type "but" the rivets are attached well and it''s a little more adjustable which is appreciated.

Yes, with this guy you get whatcha pay for, which isnt much money. I play sports. I break and scratch stuff so often that I prefer not to invest a lot of money into "nice" things per-say. This watch was within my means, does everything I need it to do, and it really does it. Yes, I had to read the instructions and suggest you do too, but that is typical with most watches or technology. There are many more "expensive" waterproof exercise monitor watches out there that enable you to go 100 ft under water, compared to this guy that is 30ft, but for the average athlete, this functions just as well. And it is comfortable to wear while running/jogging/throwing-whatever activity you may do!

I just recently got into running and wanted something to measure the distance that I was running. I looked at pedometers but thought a watch would be nicer to have. After searching all over town I gave up and came to Amazon because I didn''t want to pay $60+ for a gadget that was more of a toy to me. I couldn''t find any in store that strictly measured distance, they all had heart rate monitors which led to higher prices. I saw this one and figured that for the price, I would give it a try. I am pleased with my purchase. Other reviews were favorable, so that''s why I went with it. The directions are slightly vague, but only when it comes to calibrating your stride. I was able to figure this out quite easily though through some trial and error. The clasp does stay closed very well. The only thing I wish was different was that the measurements are in KM and KM/hr. I''d much rather prefer to be able to switch it to miles. I used the automatic calibration and then tested it right after and got an accurate distance.

If you are any bit tech savy(or have the time and patience to push buttons) you''ll be able to figure it out. Perfect watch for someone who doesn''t need anything extremely fancy.

Do not loose the directions ( definitely important ).

This is not a lifetime build, what do you expect for the price.

For the most part i like the watch, it has some quirks and not entirely easy to navigate. I wish the directions were more informative. Patience and practice is my recommendation for setup.
