These shorts are top quality, great flexibilty and strength. I wear these shorts all week for classes in Muay Thai and Jiu-Jitsu and couldn''t be happier with a pair of shorts. I bought these shorts because I started doing a Muy Thai class and because I wanted something like board shorts with a little bit more flex in them for when I did a run/swim/run workout.

The fit of the size was a little large. I run 32 in the waist and buy medium in most porducts, but this felt like a large in Nike basketball shorts. The velcro and the cord helped tighten them up, but if a strong current catches me, these boys start to slip slightly. This doesn''t mean they are baggy, in fact more shorts I wear slipp a little on me, the one system these shorts have in place prevent them from slipping too far.

The material is perfect for my trail runs where I brush against lots of trees and boulders and they have yet to fade when I swim in a pool with them.

I would give these shorts a 4 star rating if the size was more inline with the industry standard of a medium and if they hadn''t used polyester for the gusted crotch, it takes a little bit longer to dry than the rest of the shorts. Over all I was ver satified with my purchase and will be uying another pair of these shorts in the future.

I''ve been using these fight shorts for over a month for both BJJ training and competition. They are completely blank (so I don''t feel like a billboard) and the construction is good. They never bind up or restrict my movement and the fit matches the description very well.

My only complaint is the velcro closure is probably not needed unless you can''t put the shorts on without undoing it. I made the mistake of washing these without making sure the velcro was matched completely and the exposed velcro hooks grabbed everything in the washer. Clearly, the velcro will never let loose while rolling. Now I just untie the cord and never touch the velcro. The elastic is enough to let me pull these on, and the drawstring keeps everything secure.

I hang dry these shorts and they easily dry by morning. Even after two hours of hard training, I never feel like I''m swimming in my own sweat.

This is one more well thought out and nicely priced piece of gear by Piranha.

Really like these trousers! Definitely the best price you can get for some solid quality grappling/MMA shorts. I''ve rolled in them during some BJJ sessions and they are very good for sprawling. The best part is that they don''t have any flashy pattern or images on it, really like having them "plain" black! Thanks for an awesome product!

I got these for Krav Maga and they have worked out great. The elastic is great, there is a sting to tighten inside and it fits a cup with no problems. The shorts are breathable and perfect for a martial arts application. Highly recommend
