Everlast PowerCore Freestanding Heavy Bag

Everlast PowerCore Freestanding Heavy BagI put this thing together and for the start I felt it was very cheaply made. After just three punches, the punching bag went flying. It completely snapped off and I just stood there in shock. This was the worst $120 I have ever spent. I can Not believe they would sell this product. Do Not buy this, you might as well throw away your money.

The parts in the box don''t correspond with the instructions included. The bolts are very difficult to install. I had to buy a special tool and even then it was extremely difficult. It''s as though someone makes this product in their basement on their day off. This one''s going back. Save your time and keep looking.

Another piece of chinese crap.

Don''t buy it.

I weight 150 lbs and the entire thing moves around like crazy when i punch it.

The screws (being cheap chinese screws) split as you try to tighten the base up.

An absolute waste of money .

Will return it and buy one made in America

don''t buy it.

The instructions were just a little unclear as far as identifying parts because of how they were packed in the box otherwise I would have given this item 5 stars. (I had to take it apart to find them all in order to put it together correctly) That being said, once I was able to locate all parts and put this bag together, it''s well suited for my training needs! My husband and stepson have even hit and kicked it extremely hard and it has held up well. I used water to weight it and didn''t fill it completely so there is some movement. Of course that is with it sitting on a surface that allows it to slide some. In the instructions it is suggested to place the heavy bag on a "non skid" surface. I am going to change it to sand weighted only because I prefer it to be dry weighted and the base weight with sand is 370 pounds vs 250 pounds with water (also recommended in instructions to use sand for best performance). I would definitely recommend this bag and have actually recommended it. I think it is definitely worth the price. It is good quality and worth the $100 I spent on it.

I agree with the individual who said this cannot take a punch. It can''t. I weigh 165 pounds, am not a boxer by any stretch of the imagination, and after one week I punched the bag and cracked the connector tube that fits the bag stem to the base. I returned the broken piece to the store where I''d purchased it and swapped it for the one on their floor model, but six months later the SAME THING HAPPENED. This time, I had to deal with Everlast directly to see about ordering a new part, but Everlast doesn''t directly deal with parts, they forward requests to a third party company that has to contact YOU in return...a week later, I''m still waiting for them to contact me.

The product is not durable; if you fill the base with sand, you will wind up with sand leaking out of the connector plate at the top of the base; and parts are a ridiculous hassle to get. Buy at your own risk, but I agree with all the other one-star reviews for this. It''s expensive junk.
