I''m writing the review to clarify a couple of things I didn''t see mentioned in the description. The pocket is not big enough to hold an iphone or like sized music player. The draw-string waist does tighten enough that you can wear an iphone on your waist, though (without pulling your shorts down). I wish I had known that these don''t sit at the waist, I debated about what size to get since my hip-waist ratio didn''t match their size charts and it could have saved me a lot of trouble if I had known that the hips are the more important measurement. They sit below the waist. All that being said, I really like running in them, and plan to add another pair to my next order. Thanks.

Love these shorts, I''ve had nike running shorts in the past but they''re so expensive I needed to look for an alternative. I''d say they''re equally comfortable and actually more flattering than nike shorts, they don''t flair/bulge out your butt so that''s a plus. The only thing is they''re a little shorter than nike shorts so if you''re concerned about modesty, maybe size up.

These shorts are really good quality and I look forward to using them at the gym. I ordered my usual size of XS and they are true to size. They are pretty short so are not really appropriate for anything besides running, unless you add a pair of compression shorts underneath maybe. The only thing I didn''t like is that the inbuilt underwear has thin seams which are a little uncomfortable. It''s more like a bikini panty than a boy short as described on the new balance website..
