Ripcords Resistance Exercise Bands - Power Tension 5 Pack, Circuit7 Exercise DVD, Door Anchor and Manual
I guess these are good if you want to mimic pullup motions. For any other move that requires stepping on them to achieve the proper motion or tension, be careful. The bands are great. The DVD was a total and complete waist of money. I expected a professional trainer to give instructions with each exercise as well as show proper technique. I expected at the least a few exercise routines targeting upper and lower body. My expectation was NOT met at all. Luckily I know a certified trainer and have been given by him what the DVD did not.Hi! I bought another resistance band training program very similar to this. I started using the highest resistance (black cord) cord (working my biceps only) and only in a few days I started to grow biceps. It''s pretty AWESOME!!! I had excercised my biceps before (using another thing), but I stopped a long time ago and I gained weight. I know this will make me lose weight soon and gain muscle too. I think these will be for people that want beginner to intermediate training only though.Put it simply the product is garbage.Good idea ,but not well executed. The handle came off the Red cord after only a few uses.I felt it was not safe to use anymore.

I gave this to my brother as a gift and he keeps on thanking me for them. They are very easy to use and you can actually do all sorts of work outs with them. This is a great advanced workout to do at home. It is versitile, so you can do the entire workout, or shorten on days when you have less time. You need some hand weights. It is very worth while!I enjoyed this workout and found it to be a great workout. I do think I like the prior Peak 10 Cardio Strength workout slightly better but this is good to mix it up. It does really work the abs with several of the moves. I was feeling it in the obliques the next day. I got a great workout and will find I will use this DVD often.NCAA Georgia Bulldogs Mesh Shorts

The photograph accompanying this ball made it appear much larger than it proved to be. I returned mine, as I had expected a much larger one.Savasa Yoga Mate
It fit into the wash machine very nicely, and was not a burden on the load as a regular towel full of sweat would have been. But the problems started after the drying, when, despite using a low-heat cycle, the Yoga Mate shrank to near 75% of its original size--no longer fitting over the mat, and certainly not allowing for the wide-leg poses of the standing Bikram session.
I think I''ll go back to towels, sure they are wasteful, but they do work. The concept here is good, but the materials just aren''t up to snuff.

Bosu 3D System Balance Trainer
So I found this Bosu trainer. I just finished the first workout and it was incredible...really good for working on balance, but you can hold on throughout! It works your core muscles without you having to do any crunches, situps or other ungodly manoever...I mean, I can feel my abs right now, but not in a bad way...just in a way that lets me know I exercised them. This thing does cardio, strength and you can also stretch on it...the DVD that''s included shows you how. For $114, I think this gives a lot of bang for the buck...and it feels very sturdy. Although it comes with a cheap pump, I had a bicycle pump that I blew it up with. So, for what it''s worth, I would highly recommend this. We''ve looked at several of these models for awhile and finally settled on buying the Bosu 3D System Balance Trainer. Weighing in at 33lbs its more bulky then heavy. One thing for certain, its not going to be moved around a lot. After going through and deciphering the enclosed instruction manual, I felt a sigh of relief in knowing that my inventory of parts and hardware was complete. That said, I began the assembly process.
The first thing I noticed was that some of the screw holes located under the base were covered and could not be lined properly with the platform. I discovered that the rubber plates (used for vibration and weight distribution) were the culprit. No worries, I used a flathead screwdriver to pry the glue mounted plates and realigned them with the holes. I added just a dab of shop glue for extra measure. I did not run into any other problems with alignment. Total assembly time was about 20 minutes.
It goes without saying the included pump is worthless. I saved the valve head and tossed the rest of the unit. I used my portable compressor to inflate the ball. At 39" x 29" x 49" it does take up some real estate. We decided to place the Bosu Trainer in the corner of the garage in front of the tv/dvd player.
Once in place, the system works like a charm with no issues. Even the ball seems to hold up well and does not have to be filled as often. The ball is gym quality and should last a long time. The balance bar is steady and fully adjustable. The resistance trainer is mounted with comfortable hand grips and above average tubing.
For those new to Bosu, its not rocket science. Primarily it covers the basics for strengthening up and using targeted core muscle groups. The enclosed dvd offers a good basic workout program. The owners manual is packed with various work out programs, training tips, progression charts and of course, the assembly instructions. A separate nutrition and menu planning booklet is also enclosed with this system.
Even with its manufacturing issues, the quality of this particular model is above average. We are pleased with this unit and would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a change up without gym membership fees. Its a low cost alternative to better health.

The Bosu Ball is a great training aid for developing balance and core strength. The addition of the base and support makes it much easier for someone without great balance to get started on the ball. I would happily have given it five stars if I hadn''t had to drill and file out the holes on the support brackets to make it fit. If my wife had wanted to put this together herself she could not have done so and would have had to sent it back. The problem is in the location of the welded brackets. I understand the difficulty of doing the weld precisely, but clearly the manufacturer needs to improve their procedure. Until they do, I would not recommend anyone who is not prepared to do some non-trivial hole enlarging to buy the item as it must be just a matter of luck whether you get one that fits or one that doesn''t.

It''s a great package. Assembly wasn''t hard at all, and there are a lot of workout DVDs included. It''s surprising how intense the workout is I did the first cardio workout today and my heart was pounding after 15 minutes (in a good way). Perfect for anyone who wants to work out but isn''t a fan of gyms, especially in the winter when it''s no fun to jog or bike outside. One drawback it''s not all that easy to store. I had hoped the 3D system would fold down or something similar to store away quickly, but that''s not the case. You can take off the top handles easily, but you''d still need a relatively large space to store the entire thing in. So, you may end up just leaving it fully assembled wherever you put it together. It''s not an eyesore exactly, but it''d be nice to have it disassemble a bit so it could fit under a bed or in a small space.
Overall, though, it''s a very good product and I think I''ll get more than my money''s worth out of it in exercise. This Bosu in itself was used by my physical therapist because I needed help in regaining balance control. My walking was off balance due to a fall I had as well as a birth defect. She introduced me to this aparatus whic at first I was not confident that I could get on it and make it work with me. My PT then showed me how with er assistance. Pretty soon,I was on there and balancing myself just standing and quickly learned to balance myself without the support and spotting from my PT! I decided it would be a great way to practice at home and have a way to get exercise, too! After a few nights of web searching, I found this awesome deal with Amazon. It was to great of a deal to pass up! You will not find a better deal anywhere than Amazon for the Bosu 3 D System!

Drape the band over the chin-up bar, pull one end through the other to secure. Pull the hanging end down and insert a bent knee, grab the bar, and you''re good to go. Great for helping you maintain form as you work on increasing reps. A CD (DVD?) came with the band, but I haven''t looked at it yet. If I had to do it over, I probably would have chosen the slightly heavier 30-50lb band, since the 20-35lb band is pretty light and provides minimal assistance.Read Best Reviews of Rubberbanditz 41 inch Continuous Loop Powerlifting Band Sizes Here

GSI Super Quality All-In-One Waterproof Heart Rate Monitor Watch and Transmitter Chest Belt
I could not believe the price on this item and ordered it primarily to check it out and have an extra heart rate monitor for when my others fail or have a battery go out, etc. I don''t like being without a heart rate monitor for my workouts. I have used this item for 3 workouts now and can recommend the product with a few caveats.
At less than $20, this item cannot be beat. The chest strap alone is worth more than what you would pay for this whole system. The watch allows entering personal user data such as gender, age, height, weight, maximum heart rate and even VO2Max. It will display your BMI based upon the entered data, and obviously uses the statistics to calculate calories and fat burned based upon heart rate and time of exercise.
The biggest negative about this item is that the display is difficult to read. The background is dark green. My other heart rate monitors have a light gray background and are much easier to read. I don''t know if contrast needs to be adjusted on it or what, but the watch is not as easy to read as my other watches. I have learned to tilt the watch at a 45 degree angle to read it the best, but the angle has to be just right to be able to read it. Also, it helps a lot to have light directly overhead. When I am in a dimly lit hallway, I have a very difficult time reading it. A backlight does come on when a button is pressed, but it does not stay on for long and I actually think the backlight makes it even more difficult to read. Nevertheless, keep in mind that my eyes are tired and old at 51 years of age, and I often reach for reading glasses and turn on a light in order to read. Younger individuals may not have as difficult time. This one negative issue, however, drops the rating from 5 stars to 4. It is a serious consideration in ordering this watch.
Another criticism I have is that the watch regularly cycles screens during a workout. This is nice when on an elliptical or treadmill, because you can just look at it and watch the different statistics show without having to push buttons. However, I like to use it while lifting weights, to make sure I don''t rest too much between sets, and to make sure I am pushing myself hard during the workout itself. For this activity, I would prefer to know exactly what screen is on when I go to look at it, and if I want to see calories, then know to hit the button twice to get to that screen. With the constant cycling, I don''t know what screen will be displaying when I look at it. I have to pause, squint at the hard to read screen, and figure out what screen it is on. It would have been nice if I could push or hold a button to turn cycling on or off.
The instruction manual is a little difficult to understand. It took me awhile just to figure out how to set the time. Once I figured out the logic of the buttons, however, using it is rather straight forward and not difficult at all. Following is a link to a manual to a similar watch which has option to transfer data to PC. This watch lacks the COMM option on the menu, but the other menu items are very similar.
One nice feature of this watch not normally found in watches costing $50 or less is that it will store data for your last 40 exercises. The stored data are also tallied, so you could see how much time, calories, and grams of fat were burned for the entire time you have been storing the data. I plan to use it for weekly totals since I generally track my progress by the end of each week. There are enough slots to do this for the month as well, or if you work out only 3 times a week, two months of data could be stored. You can traverse the menu to see each exercise individually as well. It will show the date and time of the workout, the average heart rate, the percent of maximum heart rate the average heart rate represents, the maximum heart rate during the exercise, the minimum heart rate and percent of maximum heart rate that it represents, the heart rate at the end of the exercise and its percent of maximum heart rate, the calories burned, the grams of fat burned, and items set in the user setup screen used in the calculations, such as your weight, height, and type of exercise (aerobic, exercise bike, stair stepper, treadmill, jog, walk, bike, or other).
A very nice feature I found that my other heart rate monitors do not have is a battery saving feature. I regularly have to replace batteries in my other heart rate monitors, and they stay in the drawer all the time except when I exercise. This watch allows me to turn the display off by holding in the Mode button for a few seconds. To turn it back on, press the mode button. Nice. I am using this feature regularly and trust that it will minimize how often I have to replace the battery.
The watch also allows setting up three zones for heart rate and will show a graph of where you are in the zone and whether you need to push harder or less, but I personally do not care about this feature and do not use it. I know what I want my heart rate to be while exercising and do not need a machine to tell me that.
The chest strap has a user replaceable battery, and it wirelessly transmits to the ellipticals and treadmills in my gym. I am very happy about that. I don''t like having to hold the monitors on those devices. It also works with my other watches, so if I decide I want an easier to read watch, I will use one of them with this chest strap. However, this watch tracks much more data than my other monitors, and it saves them. So for now, I am going to use this watch and see if I get use to using it.
Some reviews complain about the monitor being off on the heart rate. In my experience, all heart rate monitors suffer from this problem. The first time I used this, before I had worked up a sweat, the heart rate was erratically high, then low. I licked my fingers and wet the pads on the chest belt with my saliva. The monitor quickly became steady and consistently accurate. I have compared this to other more costly monitors and have found it to be close enough for what I do. I have absolutely no gripes about how well this heart rate monitor tracks heart rates compared to other monitors. In my opinion, it does the job and does it well. Users, should expect that many issues can affect the monitor, including whether or not the chest strap is wet (the instructions say to wet them with water before use), some shirts, especially microfiber, can interfere with it, and proximity to radios, magnets in speakers, fluorescent lights, etc. can all cause issues with the function of a heart rate monitor. Some more expensive monitors use digital transmission to try and remedy these problems, but it seems to me unfair to criticize this heart rate monitor in this area. This heart rate monitor works just as well as other heart rate monitors I have from Polar and Life Wise that cost three times what this one costs.
Overall, you just cannot go wrong for $20. If nothing else, it makes a great backup, but I think this may become my primary heart rate monitor now. The truth is that I probably will order another one to keep at home (I use this one at my office). The price is just too good.compared to other items with similar features, this was a steal. I''ve only had it for a few weeks, so time will tell how durable it is. As it stands now, it''s got good features. good data storage. quality hr monitor. so-so on user friendliness.

I was very impressed with this product, how it kept track of so much information and seemed pretty accurate, and was comfortable to run with. Unfortunately, after three weeks it started giving wild readings. I am about to send it back, but I''m debating with myself whether to replace the battery, though that shouldn''t have died after a dozen uses.I purchased this item to monitor my heart rate while exercising at the gym. The monitor also includes other functions but they are difficult to set up as the User''s Manual is poorly written and not helpful. The monitor works at times (maybe 50% of the time). Generally it does not work when you need it most that is when running on the treadmill. I usually get readings of 30 to 40 (well below the trigger rate of my pacemaker) or on the opposite a rate of 180 which is well beyond my reach at my age. The only positive point of this monitor is its price. It is cheap... Cheap is a good summary for this item.Tells time fine. Knowing nothing about heart rate, I can''t speak to its accuracy, but it goes up as I work out. Only flaw is that it dose not have a light.Altus 6 In. Natural Leather Lifting Belt

Everlast 2''x6'' Folding Mat
It is THICK enough to absorb the difference between a wooden floor and my sensitive bones. It is FIRM enough to support my back when I''m doing leg lifts etc. Having just ONE fold gives it a consistent smooth surface.
The material seems tough and doesn''t have a "rubbery" smell or feel to it. Carrying handles are convenient and it stores easily under my bed.
The SIZE is ideal too. I''m 6''2" and weigh 225 lbs. I can lie comfortably flat on my back without feeling cheated. I can lie on my side and have plenty of length.
*I have owned 2-3 other types of mats designed for yoga or mat-type exercise. They all had shortcomings... TOO thin, TOO hard, tendency to ROLL up while in use, smells like an auto tire etc. Not any easier to store than the Everlast.*
It''s an excellent product, worth every penny! We''ve had this mat for over six years and we have a big family so it has stood up to a lot of use and abuse! From somersaults and much jumping to use as a mattress for sleepovers, the mat still looks good and performs great. We received our mat as a gift from Grandma who thought it would come in handy for our homeschool physical education program and she was right. For years it fit under our couch when folded until needed (and until we changed couches). We strongly recommend this hardy mat.

This is a great product that I have had my eye on for quite some time and had a hard time finding one. This is the Pilates mat to buy. It is much thicker that other "Pilates" mats (which are just a tad thicker than yoga mats) and offers great back support.I purchased this mat to do basic exercises at home. I find it to be easy to get out & put away. It provides a solid, cushioning surface that protects me from the hard floor, but is not so soft as to be a hindrance to exercise. Reebok Women''s PD Sleeveless Tee
The v neck is a nice feature. The 100% polyester material is also soft. The softness was what really sold me after I got it. Even the texture looks nice. Some thought did go into the making of this top after all.
In keeping with the relaxed fit, there is no princess seaming however, it could have used some to give it a little shape. The top is straight and relies on your own curves to give it shape. I bought this to wear over sport bras and under running zip necks and running jackets. It works great as a base layer. I reach for this all the time. I hope Amazon re-stocks this especially in the white color and offers it at a good price again. This is something I would purchase again. I should''ve bought more than one....now there''s no more.

THis shirt works great for my workouts the only suggestion would be to make sure you order the right size. I usually wear a medium shirt for working out (often a small for non workout shirts) but decided to order this in a large because I hate tight workout shirts. The medium would have been a better idea. The fit is looser than expected despite getting the xs. Other than that, the fabric is good for those sweaty workoutsIt was huge! I always wear a med and the shirt could of fit my large husband. The material was very thin.
