Buy Spinervals Competition DVD 13.0 - Tough Love Now
I''ve purchased three spinerval dvds, and I like this one the best. I started using it a year ago because I was trying to prepare differently for a week long bike ride. All the other years, I had trained in ways that made my experience of that week less than pleasant, and so I decided to try a spinerval workout. At first, I couldn''t make it through twenty minutes, and I probably should have bought another video, but I decided on the three hour video because I needed to be able to cycle for three hours at a time before taking this trip (or so my logic ran), and so I gradually moved up to the point where I could do the whole video. Now, even though I''ve purchased shorter ones, I prefer to just hop on the bike and do one or two or three hours of this particular video. I just ordered another spinerval because I want variation, and I don''t like the other two that I already purchased. One of them is for core training, and I find the one legged biking exercise tedious. The other one is on the actual road, and that doesn''t work for me. I''m hoping that the one I''ve ordered will be better designed for the days when I just want to do a shorter time.Oh, and by the way, last year''s week bike ride was a piece of cake after getting through this video. I had so much fun that I decided to drop forty pounds just to see what it would feel like to bike it without the extra weight. I''m in training now for that bike ride again and using this video. If they made another 3 hour video, similarly shaped, I would love it because I have this one memorized.

Great workout, can actually do hour long segments when time limited. Music is a bit cheesy but you can switch it off and use your own.Want Spinervals Competition DVD 13.0 - Tough Love Discount?
The workout is good and is intended for an advance rider as suggested. You will sweet! I have yet to complete the 3 hour session do to time (only had it a month). I do like the fact that there is three hours of training if I want it. The workout focuses on keeping your heart rate at the 85% level for a large part of the session--right at the lactate threshold. For me, at 55, I can get there pretty fast. I am no triathlete, but did ride in a couple of centuries in 2012 and will be riding the Death ride (tour of the Alps) with some friends here in 2013.For me I would rather adjust my workout with room to improve than master it and have to buy another workout in the future, and I wanted something more than an hour long. The background music is okay, not obnoxious metal music and the set is pretty cool, some museum somewhere.
My reason for a 4 star rating is: the DVD quality is good, a 3 on a scale of 1 to 5 and the price is steep.
