Grip Pro Trainer Hand Grip Forearm Strength Gripper 30, 40 & 50 lbs FULL SET of all 3 weights
This is a good product for a number of reasons. 1. Portability: it is easily carried. 2. Convenience: you can do it in your car, on walks, in your office, while watching TV, etc.. 3. Durability: nothing to break here. 4. Cost: the red one alone cost about $10 including shipping, and should last a long time.
The smell which other reviewers mentioned? Not a problem at all. If the red one gets too easy after a while, and you can crank out fifty consecutive reps with each hand, try it with just your first three fingers.....then with your last three...notice the big difference? If you change it around you will find ways to keep challenging yourself and increasing your grip strenghth.
By the way, as a guy who has worked out his entire life, and who is adamantly opposed to the idea of paying someone to work out--no gym memberships for me--I would also like to highly recommend another very inexpensive product for increasing your grip strength. Go to Home Depot or Lowe''s and buy one of those spring clamps, you know, the ones with the orange PVC grips and tips. They sell for maybe $5. You may not be able to fully close it the first time you try it, which is good. Keep working on it and you will eventually get it. The advantage to using these spring clamps is that you get a much wider range of motion than you do with the squeeze circles. Once you master the "Pony" clamps, try placing a dime between the closed handles and see how long you can hold the dime before it falls to the ground.
I''d recommend the Pony spring clamps over any of the other similar hand-strengthening products shown on Amazon, because, for one thing, you can''t try any of them out before you buy them. My experience with them is that, most of the time, they are too easy. With the Pony, you can just go to your home store and give it a go. The Pony is not easy, at least for me. Plus the Pony is very inexpensive in comparison to those other spring grippers. I have to admit that I did finally wear out a spring on one of them and it broke, but that took a long, long time to come about. So you go and buy another one. In fact, I''d recommend you get two, so that you can alternate hands, i.e., one with left hand, then one with right hand, and so on.
Another excellent finger/hand strengthener: fingertip pushups.I found that the standard spring grips you get in sporting goods stores are too easy (I can do about 150 squeezes before getting tired). These grip trainers are pretty comfortable in my hand and the higher resistance is nice. I found the 30 to be easier than spring grips, the 40 was a little harder than spring grips, and the 50 is pretty difficult (I can only squeeze it about 20 times).
The only complaint I have is that my 40 ripped after about two days of use. The manufacturer replaced the item for me, but only after I shipped the defective item to them at my expense. If I could start over, I would have just bought two 50s instead of this set.Bought 3 sets of these, for myself and my roomates. I''m liking mine alot, as has everyone else at my office who has tried them. Much better than similar products I have tried that use springs for tension, being both less noisey, no way to pinch yourself, and more ''flexible'' in grip. Only complaint is that some people are allergic to latex, which is what I think these are made of.I liked the concept of the product. I think the whole idea was great. But I can only give 3 stars for two reasons.
First, the smell is terrible. I can only hope that the material is pure natural latex, but there wasn''t any mention on what it''s made from.
Second, the tensions aren''t correct. The green one is supposed to be 30 lbs. and the black one 40 lbs., but it felt the other way around. It was way easier to squeeze the black one.
I just hope to see some improvements of this originally well-conceived product.I saw this item in a magazine and figure i would try it out. Overall the item is what it advertizes and there is a noticeable difference between the different resistance ranges.
Cons:
Item does not have "Grip holds" allowing for grip pressure points to build up on the hand and over a period of time to become uncomfortable. Finger holds and thumb-hold should be provided to relieve this.
Pros:
Item is exactly as advertised and does increase strength of grip. After a single week of use you will notice an easier time gripping these and significant use does provide a bit of "soreness" to your forearm and fingers.
Items can be used in sync with one another starting with either more resistance or less, enabling personalization in workouts. Used in conjunction with free-weights and/or twisting variation forearm workouts this product is particularly effective in increaseing grip strength.
Summary:
Awesome product, but should be used in conjunction with other products for increased effectiveness.
Sunlite Exerciser Bicycle Pedals, 9/16 in, 1 Pair
Advantages: Good sized platform to accomodate different shoes or just wearing socks so the entire family can use the exercyle; easy and fast adjustments with the velcro straps; feet stay stable and secure in pedals even during 130+rpms spinning/cardio workouts.
Disadvantages: With the first set, the right pedal had rough bearings when new; it had to be constantly re-tightened after a few indoor training sessions and I ended up stripping the locknut. I replaced it with a generic nut but the bearings/race surfaces were already pitted so the right pedal became clunky again after a few sessions.
Overall: Bought another replacement set at a fair price from an Amazon vendor in 2010 and has worked smoothly right from the start. So far, no bearing adjustments are necessary. This set should last another few years of indoor spinning and power workouts.
Zephyr HxM Bluetooth Wireless Heart Rate Sensor for Android and Windows Phone 8
This little baby frees me up from having to keep track of multiple devices, and allows me to use one device to track all of my information needs, and provide a little musical entertainment while on those long bike rides.
It''s accurate (when compared to the manual method of checking your pulse for 15 seconds then multipying that by 4), extremely light weight, and the belt is extremely easy to clean (just pop the monitor itself off the belt and wash!)
My only complaint is that the device only comes with a USB charger. Not very handy if you''re on vacation and not near a laptop of computer. However, the monitor''s battery gives you approximately 23 hours of use on a single charge, and after having it now for almost four weeks, it still has the same charge that I put on it after opening up the box!
If you''re into exercising and want to know where your heart rate is for optimal weight loss and muscle development, AND own an Android OS based smartphone, I *HIGHLY* recommend this baby!Everything about this heart rate monitor seems so perfect from the soft comfortable fabric strap, the great battery life, the Bluetooth connectivity and range, to the compatibility with lots of great Android apps. I previously thought that the heart rate detection was inaccurate, because I found that it worked fine if you stay very still, but if you are moving around at all (e.g. using an elliptical, or jogging) the sensor will confuse the jogging motion for the heart rate. However, I have now found that I can solve that problem completely by prewetting the sensors with a little bit of water. I''m guessing this is a particular problem for me because I live in an air conditioned building, so my skin is usually very dry.
I''ve been analyzing the packets the device sends over Bluetooth, and have found out that, contrary to my previous belief, in addition to the average heart rate, the device transmits the actual RR intervals in milliseconds. This means that with the right software, the device could easily be used to analyze heart rate variability, and that you aren''t limited to the heart rate averaging algorithm that the device itself uses (which seems to be pretty solid anyway though).
I also love that they include a USB charging cradle. Much better than the Polar heart rate monitors with the expensive alkaline batteries that you have to replace every few weeks.
So in summary a great piece of kit. My only ask is that Zephyr makes the API available publicly for free; I think that would boost developer adoption and we''d see a lot of Zephyr HxM apps on the market.
Buy Zephyr HxM Bluetooth Wireless Heart Rate Sensor for Android and Windows Phone 8 Now
I really wanted to like this product it''s very cool to be able to integrate my HR with my Android phone & use SportsTrackLive to monitor my pace & distance, and to have my heart rate announced to me every X seconds while I''m running so I know just how I''m doing, all while listening to tunes on Pandora. So, that''s great and all, but very frequently after a half hour or so, the Zephyr will tell me that my heart rate has dropped way down for example, from 160 to 80. It''s so irritating and makes me completely lose focus on my run when I hear the thing announce such a low heart rate. It''ll often happen during a very difficult part of the run when I''m really pushing myself, so it''s especially distracting when I know my HR has got to be getting close to the max and the thing tells me it''s at 80. I end up slowing way down and futzing with the unit, re-positioning the strap, unsnapping and resnapping the module, etc. Sometimes the HR will get back to normal again, but it''s typically a bit messed up from that point on.
I''ve followed all of the suggestions that are on the Zephyr web site, including wetting the strap, making sure it''s tight enough, and positioned high enough. I''ve also had several different phones in the time I''ve owned the Zephyr HXM, and this problem is consistent across all of them. I believe that the problem is happening after I''ve worked up a good sweat it seems to mess things up when it gets too wet. Another reviewer, "S. Cronin", had this same problem, so it''s not unique to me.
I have sent 4 emails to support over the past several months, and they haven''t answered a single one. I posted on their forum and this has not been answered either. I believe they''re ignoring me because they know that this issue has no solution. Either that or they just don''t care to answer emails from their customers. Either way, it''s not a good sign that the company won''t take the time to answer a customer who is having issues.
I finally got so fed up with it that I went out and bought a Garmin 610 with HR monitor, abandoning the tracking-runs-using-my-phone concept altogether. The Garmin is working great. The HR readings have all been accurate with no sudden drop-outs. I do miss having the voice cues, but I''m willing to sacrifice them in the interest of accuracy. I''ll just have to get used to looking at my wrist for HR data.
I recommend staying far away from this product. For me, I think it''s done more harm than good it is incredibly distracting having an inaccurate HR announced to you, especially when it happens when you''re really exerting yourself. There are a bunch of positive reviews out here, and I can''t say why they haven''t seen the issues that I have, but there are also several negative reviews. Maybe myself and the other negative reviewers just have a faulty units. If that''s the case, I still can''t get through to anybody at the company to replace it, and at this point I don''t even care to. Maybe my HR runs higher than the people who don''t have issues, and it''s confusing the unit & causing the bad data. Who knows all I know is I can''t get through to anybody to troubleshoot it, I''ve completely given up on the HXM and the Zephyr company in general, and will be tossing this one in the trash heap. It was a complete waste of time & money. My advice is to stay far, far away from this one. Maybe the bluetooth HRM from Polar is better......

**UPDATE 7/21/11: I finally heard from Zephyr. They never did answer any of my emails to the support address, but I decided to give it one last try and sent an email to the address they give for requesting an RMA# to return a unit. I received instructions on how to return it, and they will be sending me a new one. Hopefully the new one doesn''t have the issues that my original did. So, I''m glad that I finally heard from them and that they''re willing to replace the unit, but the whole lack of answering any of the emails to support, or to the two individual addresses that I had tracked down still leaves me with a sour taste in my mouth... I can''t say for sure if the new one will have the issues that the old one had, but I''ll post my findings and will modify the review accordingly.I''ve been using the HxM for a few weeks paired with my Motorola Droid (using 2 different apps) and I''m very happy with the product. Unlike my previous Polar strap, the HxM strap is all-fabric with no plastic contacts that get all sticky on my skin. Because let''s face it, when you''re working out, if you aren''t sweating you''re missing the point. The HxM is very light, thin, and soft. I could easily wear this all day. There''s plenty of battery life to last a week between recharges. If you want to get a leg up on working out and really get some peak performance out of your body, do yourself a favor and get the HxM now.

I was having a lot of reception issues with my Polar heart rate monitor. I was about to give up on the whole Bluetooth concept with an HRM, but gave the Zephyr a try since it had some positive reviews here on Amazon. I''m really glad I did! After three weeks of use for backpacking in Acadia National Park, several hundred miles of cycling, and a fair amount of running, it''s performed better than I could have hoped. It is extremely accurate (I am very adept at doing manual heart-rate counts), has tremendous range (and has a nice long 20hr life. As others have mentioned, you have to charge it with a USB connection into a notebook or PC, but that''s not an issue for me. If it''s a problem for you, get a really cheap adapter. My phone came with one, and I have a ton more of them from other devices I''ve owned in the past. The main issue I had with my Polar is that while cycling, I got terrible reception to my HTC Sensation when keeping the phone anywhere but directly in front of my body. Bluetooth is pretty infamous for having a terrible time broadcasting through the human body, and so I had basically assumed that Bluetooth would never work for the application I needed for most: cycling. I tried this one out, and was very surprised at how well it worked. Just how good? I had my friend carry my phone on a ride, and it never lost connection as we road over 20 miles on a trail--the whole time we were fairly close together, but at times were at least 10-15 feet apart with the phone in his bike''s rear carrier. That really impressed me. I''ve worn this riding home in the rain and never lost connection--again something my Polaris struggled with.
This is the best heart rate monitor I''ve ever owned, and I''ve owned quite a few the last 5 years. It''s the only one that Bluetooth works properly on in my opinion. It''s worth spending a bit more for this unit vs. the Polar for that very reason.
I use the Zephyr literally everyday with Endomondo fitness tracker (look me up if you use Endomondo--I use my real name there too) and it''s been flawless. As an aside, I''ve tried most of the fitness trainers like Cardio Tracker and iMapMyRun and Endomondo beats them hands down, at least with my phone. Highly recommend this HRM and Endomondo both.
Feel free to ask questions in the comments--I''ll do my best to answer them.
*****Update*****
After a month and a half of use (on a nearly daily basis), I am still extremely impressed with the Zephyr. It just works.
However, I did want to note that when I housed it in my 100oz Camelbak, it lost connection with the chest strap. Since bluetooth doesn''t transmit well through water, I guess I could have predicted that it would have problems. So if you plan to use the Zephyr, keep in mind it won''t broadcast through your Camelbak & your body both.
adidas Men''s Force Short
This items description would include a thickness detail. Something that i really like for this type of shorts is that the fabric will be thicker.
I am not looking for a short with and internal web like manufacture, i prefer a simple but thick made fabric on the short.
So if a description for this will be added will be good for future references.
TRX Performance: Train Like the Pros
This video, in particular, has more super setting and exercise integration than some of the others I''ve seen.I started using TRX at our health club and wanted some effective workout routines. The routines on the DVD were easy to follow and I take the booklet to the health club as a reminder on proper technique.

JumpSnap, The Ropeless Jump Rope - Calorie Counter, (4) Cardio Pumping DVD Workouts & Hand Weights
The beginner training is 8 minutes long, broken into 2 minute sessions with a water break between sessions. The instructor is very good and I''m impressed that she is still able to clearly speak after 8 minutes. The 12 minute intermediate training kicks it up a notch from that. I briefly viewed the Jam DVD and decided to concentrate on the other two first.
Pro: As with any jump rope, you don''t really have to work out for great lengths of time to benefit. I like to jump during commercials rather than follow the DVD''s and I my endurance is getting much better. Once you get the hang of it, it''s easy to use and there is no rope to trip over. It''s small and the weights and units fit in a nice little bag that I carry around with me.
Cons: This is not a complaint against the product, but an obvious statement that this is an impact form of exercise. I have had knee surgery (and I''m a klutz), so I take all exercise like this very slowly to prevent further injury to my body. I protected my knee when I started by using my rebounder or my rebound boots, now I can jump in my tennis shoes without any problem just keep it low.
I also want to comment on how great their customer support has been. I had misread the directions and was using the equipment incorrectly. I contacted them and within 3 days they had sent out a new unit with a return mailing form so I could return the ''defective'' unit. Even the president and creator of the company has been in touch with me you really can''t beat that level of care. It shows that they not only have a firm belief in their product, but that they want to make sure anyone using it is as please with it as they are. I already loved the product so it was easy to talk about, but that is also a major selling point as far as I''m concerned.I ordered the JumpSnap directly from the website, not from Amazon. I gave it a go for about 2 weeks and finally decided to return the product to receive my cheerfully refunded money back, plus shipping and handling. Two months later, I''m still waiting for my refund to show up on my credit card.
The JumpSnap itself is very well built and sturdy. There are two handles, one of which has the LCD display that helps to track calories burned, rotations of the "rope," elapsed time, and a beeper to let you know when your workout is over (if you wish to use this feature). It has a "snap" audio feature to make it sound like you are actually jumping rope. This can be turned on or off. There are removable weights that can be inserted in the ends of the handles (I never used them). The handles are rather bulky, though, so I wished that there would have been a smaller-handle option when purchasing the JumpSnap. However, overall the JumpSnap is a quality well-made product. So why the low rating?
If you look at the picture of the JumpSnap, you''ll notice the ends of the handles have weighted blue balls attached to a short string to simulate the jumping rope action. They worked great as long as you are perfectly rotating the handles. If you break rhythm, change hand position, or stop, the balls will whack you in the hand. It stings! If you do a web search on this product, this seems to be a common problem with other users too.
The beginner and intermediate DVD workouts that come with the JumpSnap are incomplete. For the price of the product, I expected a complete workout including warm up, cool down, and stretching. Jumping rope is very strenuous, and properly warming up and stretching are crucial. Nowhere in the DVD intro or workouts is this fact mentioned. At the beginning of each workout, you go right into jumping. No gradual warm up. Not smart. At the end of the workout, you just stop. You should never just stop cold after an aerobic workout, especially an intense one like this! What do runners do after running? They walk around to cool down and bring their heart rates back to normal. Cooling down is VERY important, and again, nowhere on the DVD is this mentioned. Beginners or those new to jumping rope should be aware of this.
There is a separate 15-minute "Jam" DVD that features a large group of people doing an extended workout with the JumpSnap. Again, it is another incomplete workout due to the lack of warm up, cool down, and stretching. Since this workout was filmed in what looked to be a huge entryway into a museum or hall or something, the echoes from the instructor shouting instructions were annoying. Because of the echo-ey sound quality, the whole workout felt like I was being yelled at the entire time.
Tressa Campbell, the lead in the workouts, apparently uses the JumpSnap at her gym in a circuit-style class. It would have been great to have a circuit workout on the DVD that incorporated the JumpSnap. Not absolutely necessary, but for the price you are paying for the product, including another workout that you could grow with would be a fantastic idea.
Basically, with improvements made to the product, it would become a 5-star piece of fitness equipment. I think in the inventor''s (Brad LaTour''s) hurry to market the JumpSnap, he neglected to give it an extended test trial to iron out some problems and get some constructive feedback. Work definitely needs to be done on the handle design, and some thought should be given to improving the workouts, making them safer and more complete.Just getting started using the JumpSnap. Very easy to use as far as putting in the time, weight etc. I''m having a little trouble matching the clicks with my jumps; I jump more than it clicks. But it does get me off my duff and doing something and it''s a big reward to see how many jumps I did and how many calories I burned in my allotted time. My aim was to do a lot of cardio in a short amount of time and it definitely does that. I''m very satisfied with the product.I bought jumpsnap about two weeks ago and it has burned fat off my body which I have not been able to budge for years.I have logged hours on the treadmill for years to no avail, I have lifted weights which helped somewhat but after jumpsnapping for only one week about 15 miinutes a day, my clothes are falling off and fat is melting from everywhere. Mind you, I am 55 years old so fat-burning has been practically impossible... until I bought and started using junpsnap!Another plus, I had trouble with my CD''s so I sent an email of the the details of my problem to the owner-inventer of this miracle work-out tool and he promptly rectifed the situation which is refreshing ...A great work-out tool that delivers even more than it promises.Another big plus....my dog and cats do not get snapped by a rope ... there is no rope so they can practically sit at my feet and watch me work-out without getting hurt.I really don''t know why people are placing "cons" for this product that have more to do with the effects of exercise as opposed to the actual product, but, I guess people will always have something to complain about.
I bought this as I love to jump rope, but unless you have a yard or a huge room to jump, it''s just not feasible. So I bought these. I have to say, they''re darn good!! I''ve read a few comments about the balls hitting you if you change rhythm or something...I''ve used them for three days straight, using the video, just jumping for 10 mins, etc., and I have never, ever had the balls somehow whack me in the hands, head, arms, etc. If you have any awareness of your body, you have no worries about anything hitting you. I haven''t used the electronic features yet, as I''m more into just setting a timer and jumping for 10-15 mins at a time as opposed to knowing the number of jumps, etc. But they seem like a good feature if you''re into that sort of thing.
Bottom line, if you like to jump rope, or want to start because it''s a great way to become cardiovascularly fit, this is an excellent product to get you on your way. Oh, and the DVD is pretty good; the beginner routine is 8 mins split up in (4) 2 min intervals with water breaks in between. I used this when I first got it and it definitely gets your heart pumping.
So, don''t worry about balls flying, the handles being too big, electronics being too light, etc...this is a great product that delivers results.

I bought this thinking that they would be like the old pair of Danskin microfiber skating tights that I had but I was SO wrong. These tights are literally comparable to a pair of $4.00 tights you can by at Walmart. They are not thick and sturdy like my old Danskin figure skating tights are, but rather thin and nothing special. I think this is the first purchase that I have ever made on Amazon where I actually felt ripped off for what I paid compared to what I got (and I order a lot on Amazon). I can''t believe these tights are selling for what they are when comparable tights are at Walmart for less then half the price.Want Danskin Women''s Ultrasoft Microfiber Footed Tight Discount?
I wear these instead of panty hose. I favor the light toast or black shades. Unlike panty hose, if sized properly and laundered per the manufacturers instructions these last a very long time without getting runs or holes. In fact, I have had these for over two years and an still wearing them. While I wear these with all sorts of outfits and they look very nice, it''s when you can''t see them that they are most appreciated. I wear them under my jeans, trousers, etc. for an extra layer of warmth in winter. These come in handy because I live in a an area that is in a snow belt of Lake Michigan and it gets really cold.
My only advice is to go up one size on these. I should wear size B, but I buy these in C. The larger size allows for a little give in the crotch and waist area and isn''t as form fitting.

you can barely hear the unit as you pedal along. all you need is enough clearance for your knees and you will start pedaling throughout the day. i even like it better than my gazelle walker and that is saying alot.
i was worried about the amount of tension that i could get from the magnetrainer but it appears to give me exactly the amount of tension i want. i am sure for people who are cyclists full time find it to have less tension than they want, but for a couch potato like me, i get quite a workout. i expect that this unit will help me get back into some shape other than "round".
for those that pedal hard enough to make it slide away even on carpet, the manufaturer offers to send you a free set of straps that you can attach to the legs of your chair. i opted for the straps and find them VERY effective in keeping the bike right where i want it.
Update:
i''ve started using my unit on a regular basis, 3 times a week, and already my blood pressure is back to normal, and my heart has stopped threatening to go AWOL.Most of the negative reviews/critiques that I''ve read are really complaints about MINI-bikes in general...NOT the Magnetrainer. So before you read any more brand reviews (including mine), do yourself a favor and think about your expectations for a moment.
1. Are you looking for something that provides a low-key, no-fuss, no-muss way of adding extra activity to your day (maybe at work or something casual while you knit)? Are you looking for something to conveniently rehab with? Are you cramped for space, and able/willing to accept that MINI-bikes have more limitations (due to simple physics) than standard-sized bikes?
*** If you answered YES to these, then skip #2 and #3, because you''ve got realistic expectations about MINI-bikes, and you''ll want to know why the Magnetrainer is a brilliant way to go. ***
2. Are you looking for the same level of difficulty as a marathon spin class at your local gym?
*** If YES, then a MINI-bike isn''t for you. ***
3. Are you able/willing to accept that the physics of MINI-bikes requires certain compromises?
*** If NO, then a MINI-bike isn''t for you. ***
Now, for those who''ve decided that a MINI-bike fits their bill...let''s talk about the Magnetrainer. First of all, the quality is exceptional. The frame is sturdy and well-designed. The pedaling motion is extremely smooth and quiet. The bike comes with simple, clear instructions and it doesn''t take much time to assemble.
Stability issues are minimized by the Magnetrainer''s weightiness and the width of its base. Additionally, you can extend the front base and use the velcro strap to tie the bike to your chair.
You may need to make additional modifications if you''re doing some very strenuous peddling, but that''s the nature of MINI-bikes, since there''s not as much weight holding them down (less bike weight and none of your sitting weight). Maybe use a higher chair so your legs are more vertical and/or invest in a rubber mat. Another option is to find a way to secure the base to the floor.
For those looking to peddle while at a desk: unless you have about 3 feet of clearance (+ or a few inches), you will need to push out your chair to keep from hitting your knees. Once again, this is just the physics of MINI-bikes, and something to consider before you decide to buy one. In order to stay productive while peddling at work, I purchased a height-adjustable laptop cart/laptop caddy. (You can find one at WalMart for $39.)
Contrary to one complaint I read...the Magnetrainer has an exceptional tension range. All but the most dedicated cyclists/spinners will find the intensity more than adequate. Remember, MINI-bikes don''t sell themselves as an equivalent substitute for $800+ equipment. Convenience and portability is the main selling-point for MINI-bikes, and these features involve a tradeoff. Based on my experience, you compromise the LEAST with this brand. If the Magnetrainer doesn''t work for you...no MINI-bike will.

I bought this as a christmas gift for someone else, but I got to try it out a bit after christmas. It seems quite sturdy and well designed. It is VERY quiet, almost inaudible even in a quiet room. It stays put pretty well on carpet. Of course, you have to supply your own chair, and what chair you use has a big impact on how well it works. You need to be positioned so that you push down on it instead of forward or it will not stay put. Anyway, it seemed to work perfectly for me and I would recommend it to anyone who wants this sort of product.Read Best Reviews of MagneTrainer-ER Mini Exercise Bike Arm and Leg Exerciser Here
I wanted a recumbent exercise bike but dreaded the gigantic and heavy box, the assembly, having to move the behemoth in the case of relocating, and just the room it would take up in my home. Then I was sitting in my favorite floor chair Multi Angle Floor Cushion (Natural) and it hit me that maybe this type of compact portable exercise bike might work well with it. I choose the Magnetrainer based on its features and positive reviews. Happily the combination of the two items has proved to be a perfect match. The Magnetrainer is of high quality and comes (in my case via FedEx) in a super sturdy carton that provides complete protection. Easy as pie to assemble, all you need do is to attach the pedals, insert the front support and tighten a thumb screw, install (included) batteries in the monitor, plug in its cable, and slide it on to its support. I love that the monitor does not re-set itself until you press and hold the red function button. This way I can get on and off the bike throughout the day and reach my goal of at least one hour without having to remember how many minutes I have already put in on it. The cranks are quality three-piece type and they have a soft closed-cell foam sleeve on them to protect your ankles. Cranks are about six inches in length. The bike is very quiet, almost silent. Because I use it from such a low and reclining position I have placed the bike against a wall so that it does not slide forward. I''m sure if I were to use it from a normal chair height, pressing down instead of forward on the pedals, it would stay put. I am so pleased to have found such success using these two great products together. I saved a bunch of money and space too!Want MagneTrainer-ER Mini Exercise Bike Arm and Leg Exerciser Discount?
I purchased this bike to help me during recovery from ACL (knee reconstruction) surgery. I knew within the first 5 minutes that I had made the right decision. The machine is obviously of good quality. It glides smoothly whether pedaling in forward or reverse, and it makes almost NO noise whatsoever. It appears sturdy and stable. Assembly was a breeze. The digital display is large enough to be easily read without having to lean forward and squint. You can track your stats cumulatively over a day/week, etc, or reset it to zero each time you use it. I put this machine in front of the couch, shove a pillow behind my back, and I''m off. It comes with a velcro strap to secure it to a chair leg, but I just put it on top of a rubberized bathroom mat and it doesn''t slide at all. I haven''t cranked up the resistance yet, but even at zero I can tell it is going to be very helpful in keeping my knee mobile. If you''re looking for a heart-pounding, thigh-burning Tour-De-France type workout, this is probably not what you want. (Well, I don''t know for sure, since I haven''t upped the resistance yet). If you''re looking for a gentle, no-impact way to keep your muscles and joints moving, then I highly recommend this product.
I know this isn''t the cheapest mini-bike out there, but if you prefer quality then this is the right choice. I suspect this bike will still be humming along after the cheaper models have rusted and seized.
P90X® T-shirt - The Only Original! Black, men''s
The shirt is the Hanes Beefy version (which only retails for like 10 bucks or so). So paying the price for cheap P90X graphics printing is a hard pill to swallow. I would not recommend this.It arrived on time but the quality was below my expectations. It looks like it won''t survive the more than 3 washes. I am disappointed.

I have been on my p90x regimen and figured it was finally time to reward myself with a shirt.. Unfortunately the shirt is very rough feeling (not soft at all) and too expensive for what I expect from Amazon.Read Best Reviews of P90X® T-shirt - The Only Original! Black, men''s Here

This shirt runs a bit on the small side for a Medium, but when you''re done with your P90X workout it should fit great! The quality of the shirt is about a 4 star. If you follow care directions you shouldn''t have trouble with the print cracking.Augusta Sportswear Tri Color Dazzle Game Short. 715

I tried these socks even though I thought they were a little pricy. They are great! I have two pair and use them every time I do my Pilates exercises. They grip and do it well. They keep my feet warm, too. They also wash beautifully over and over again. Excellent quality and performance on the floor, mat and foot bar for your investment.Read Best Reviews of ToeSox Full Toe with Grip Yoga/Pilates Toe Socks Here
numbered not in order of importance.1) they shrink more than little if you wash them alot in warm water...this is especially a problem when it comes to putting on "your toes".
2) the cotton is too thin for me and most good organic cotton socks like some of the Maggies line and it seems like it thins and fades too fast after use....more dense soft treated organic cotton needed!!!!!
3) the protective studs are not dense enough to make for a breakthrough in ''sock technology''.
4) t00 pricey for what they end up becoming.
5) I recommend buying yourself one pair in a size larger if possible, and pick one with color (not white)

I have a few pairs of toe socks (not sure if any are from this company) and I love them. The Injinji yoga socks are especially outstanding. Amazon was out of those, in the color and size I wanted.
So I ordered another pair from ToeSox, and when they came, they don''''t fit. I followed the manufacturer''s recommendations and ordered a large (I wear a 10.5 shoe), but they''re just very difficult to get on (and I''m used to putting toe socks on), and once on, they''re really too small and just don''t feel right. I have pretty normal feet, but these socks are apparently not designed for the human foot.
Well, OK, no biggy. They don''t fit; I decided to return them. That''s a lot of hassle, they don''t cost all that much, so if I''m going to return them they definitely must not fit. So I look on the instructions and the first thing it says is, DON''T OPEN THEM! I''ve never heard this before in my life. I ordered them online; I didn''t have a chance to try them on in the store. I order stuff online all the time, usually never return it, but occasionally I have to, and I''ve never heard this, that I can''t return it if I''ve opened it! That''s kind of like saying we don''t allow any returns; anyone would open it!
How would I know that they don''t fit if I didn''t open them??
So I call, and ask about it, and what I found out is that first of all, I''m wrong, the manufacturer''s recommendations are always right, everybody else loves them, I must be crazy. And secondly, they WILL take them back, but there''s a 35% restocking fee! Plus the shipping!..
So I don''t know; they only cost $15, it''s not a big deal, it may not be worth the trouble to return them, but
for me, they''re crappy, badly designed socks that don''t fit right and really aren''t the size they were supposed to be; it''s an unsatisfactory product, if not quite defective, and they won''t take them back (well, OK, they take them back, but they rip you off for one third of the price).
The 35% restocking fee has to represent more than their profit, so what they''re doing is keeping their profit, and I don''t get to use the product.
They''d rather keep their profit on this one pair of socks than keep a customer.
I''ll never buy anything from these people again, and I recommend you don''t either.
I personally couldn''t rate these socks very highly, but they might fit someone else, you might like them okay; if they''d taken them back with a full refund, I wouldn''t have bothered reviewing them. The one-star rating is for the predatory "return policy".

However, there is a significant odor issue. Before I even opened the cardboard wrapping they arrived in, I could detect a strong burnt rubber type smell. It''s reminiscent of a strong single malt Scotch, but not in a good way! After opening the package, the odor only got worse. Fortunately I had to hang them outside due to some remodeling, but when you get within a couple feet of them, you can smell it. The cardboard wrapping was initially placed in our recycling bin in our kitchen, but I had to move it outside because it was stinking up the kitchen! I hope the odor dissipates, but if it is still bad once I move the rings to an indoor location in a few weeks, I may have to ditch them and try a different set.
When I ordered these in early Oct 2011, shipping was free (fulfilled by Amazon and/or Prime). However, now as I write the review I see that shipping has gone to $23.73, nearly double the price of the rings! At that total price, there are other sets you should consider.
If you''re just looking for some cheap, strong rings, these will probably work, but you may be taking your chances with the odor. The title says it all. The product arrived quickly and is of top quality. I am happy with my purchase.

These were the cheapest rings available. They are not as comfortable as wood, but they are exactly what I thought I was ordering. For the price, you could not get a better product.Allegro Tower: Integrated Workout
I will use this video as instructional...how to do exercises on the reformer plus tower...or the tower alone. I don''t recall there being any reformer alone exercises. There are a few exercises at the end that just use the tower with the user standing behind it and working with the springs and bars. One set of exercises uses the jumpboard on the reformer and springs from both the reformer, as you lie on the carriage, and the tower.
The instruction provided was very informative, but it comes at you fast. I felt the need to back up and review multiple times to get it all. Still, I prefer more exercises being illustrated rather than fewer exercises with better spacing given the playback time. The ideal solution would be enough time to run through all the exercises at a more leisurely pace and just have a longer playback time.
I am still recommending this video to anyone seeking instruction on how to use a tower and reformer combo on the same exercise. Not many sources for that kind of instruction...and this is a good one.
