Buy Speedo Optimus Swim Training Fins Now
Just as my tittle suggests, the pockets on these fins brake after some use. For some people it could be one month, for some others about 4 months. All the swimmers in my Masters group have experienced the same problem.Read Best Reviews of Speedo Optimus Swim Training Fins Here
These fins ripped down the fin where the top of foot lies after four workouts.I would never recommend these, just terrible and bad work by Speedo.

Like many reviewers, these are my first pair of swim fins since I was a tadpole. These are great fun, but I would buy the size you think you need and then a size bigger, knowing you''ll return one. All of the fins I read about had people complaining about sizing. I don''t even think going to a store (gasp) would help, because my too-small fins felt great until I had a few laps in them. The bad, first:
Everyone seems to say these are incorrectly sized, and to order a size up. My personal observation is that the sizing is probably OK, but the toe opening is very uncomfortable and that you''ll probably want a bigger size to keep your big toe from being anywhere near the sharp corner. I think the product is just poorly designed. I am a reliable 10.5 men''s, sometimes an 11 and occasionally a 10. I bought the XL (10-11) and at home they fit great. However, the corner of the toe opening is poorly designed in two ways: 1, there is no left/right concept to the fins (typical) so your big toe is bound to rub up against the opening (which is inset from the side of the pocket, as if you have elf-shaped feet) and 2. the opening is just not well finished -rubbing your finger along it, it FEELS like it would hurt. And you know what, it DOES. And I bet this is why a lot of folks size up. My first day in these fins, 45 minutes, they bothered me a bit and I knew I needed to size up. The next day, they where in between uncomfortable and painful. Toes hurt a couple hours later. I know -boo hoo. I''m sending these back, and an XXL (12-13) is on the way.
The good:
OMG they are so flippin'' fun! Kicking feels very natural, and perhaps the most surprising thing is that my kicks seem to be at just the right level in terms of not sinking too far underwater or making a stupid splashing mess. On no, the most surprising is how fast I go, and how I feel like I am almost automagically doing all of the things I know I ought to be doing: Using my hips, forgetting about my feet so I can work on mastering a proper breathing technique, etc. It is just terrific fun, something I haven''t experienced in a swim lane... ever
Bottom line:
For the money, these are a total blast. I believe I read that the optimus shrimptail pattern makes for a natural kick, and I really like how my defective/small fins felt, so I am going to try a different size of Optimus fins. That said, the Speedo Biofuse look better constructed, and my official recommendation would be to check those out, even tho I haven''t tried them.
