I''m a huge fan of Pearl Izumi''s gear (I''ve got their gloves, cycling shorts, cool weather tights and cold weather Amphib tights), but this product fell a bit short for me.
I purchased the medium shorts, and everything fit great except the leg gripper portion. They felt kind of like tourniquets on my thighs. So, for those of you with slimmer legs and a 32-34 inch waist, I would recommend these. If you happen to have mutant thighs (which I evidently do), then I''d opt for another brand or style.

I bought these twice ( and returned them ) because the leg grip at the bottom of the shorts is way too tight. I have fairly skinny legs (5''10" 160 lbs) and I am afraid to use them in a race because they feel like they might cut off my circulation. Maybe a size large would be better... except that they fit well everywhere else.Read Best Reviews of Pearl Izumi Men''s Select Tri Short Here
Bought these to train for a sprint triathlon. I ride upwards of 20 miles at a clip for my training and have found these to be very comfortable. The chamois that lines the inside provides enough padding for me although certainly not as much padding as what you''d find in dedicated cycling shorts. I don''t swim in them but likely will on the day of the Tri. Running, I find, is just as comfortable and the amount of padding doesn''t cause any issues for me. I''d recommend to a friend and/or buy again.I normally would wear a medium, but these mediums were way too tight. Returned for a large. Other than that, well constructed and quality materials throughout.
