Russell Athletic Women''s Stretch Basic Short

These are actually cute looking! They have a little slit on the side of the leg and the leg opening isn''t as huge as the one on the Champion Wms Favorite shorts (which I also bought). Very comfortable, very soft waistband. Fabric is of medium weight, good for working out or pjs.

I am 5 foot tall about 110lbs give or take. I wouldn''t consider myself skinny in the middle. That said, I usually veer towards ''Mediums'' for fear of something being too tight. I got the small figuring that I am technically a small.. well, the small has some space left. It is quite airy.. but the string ties are great because you get control.

There''s lot of space in the legs though, obviously these aren''t ''fitted''

I got them for the gym and I will use them fine, but I probably won''t be wearing them on ''leg'' days as I would fear I''d flash people..

BUT I haven''t run them through the wash yet so maybe they''ll shrink a little?

These work well as very comfortable sleep shorts, which is what I bought them for. I''m particularly happy with the waist band very comfortable and not too tight, like so many elastic waists are to me. These don''t seem to have an elastic ''band'' in the waist I guess it''s just the stretch of the spandex plus a tie...making them very comfortable. The half of star ''mark-down'' is because I was hoping to find shorts like these that were 100% cotton jersey knit (like the Russell shorts I''ve just worn out). These have 5% spandex and are not as soft to the touch as jersey, but the spandex does help the look and the comfort level. I would love to see more color options!...And, yes, I definitely like them enough to purchase more. I''ve owned them for about a week and they are more comfortable now than when I first put them on. So, overall, I''m very pleased with them.
