I am embarassed to say I have been wearing these shorts for 7 years. They are comfortable beyond belief, wash and dry great, wear like no other, lots of pockets if you need them. Wonderful, I own all colors.

I have several pairs of these Backcountry shorts, and love them. I use them for hiking on vacation because they have roomy pockets and because they are crinkle material, if they get wadded up in a suitcase, no problem. Then, just about all summer I wear them at home. They are a little pricey, but they are worth it--every penny.

I ordered these shorts based on the very positive reviews, but for me they were a disappointment. The fabric is 100% nylon, and they are made in Vietnam (maybe they used to be made somewhere else?). The stitching was defective in several places, and the velcro not well attached. Also, they ran quite small, so that my usual size was too small. All in all, they didn''t begin to be worth what they cost...I can find much better quality shorts for about 1/3 this price locally. I''ll be returning them.

I was expecting a heavy cotton and instead they are more nylon. I was disappointed at first but I found I really likethe fabric and the fit is great. They wash great!
