CW-X Women''s Perform X Tight Running Pants

CW-X Women''s Perform X Tight Running Pants,Black/Dark Grey,X-SmallI have never owned a pair of compression running tights, but after getting these, I am a fan! Wore them for the first time today 7 mile run. Very warm in the cold weather as an only layer. My legs felt great really did seem to reduce fatigue. Definately takes a little work to get on think really tight panty hose but worth it. Seems true to size I am 5''7" and weight 135 lb with muscular legs (think Quarter Horse, not Thoroughbred!) and the medium size fit well. If you''re much taller, you''ll want the next size up.

So I initially reviewed these tights as being great. I loved the compression and they are very warm for colder weather runs. I''m editing my review (for a second time) because I didn''t even have these tights for a year and the crotch seam came apart. I didn''t wear them often because I reserved them for cold weather runs. I probably wore them less than 30 times before the crotch came apart. I sew a lot so this wasn''t a huge deal (the first time) for me as I was able to fix this in about 15 minutes, but the fact that the crotch seam went at all when these were such an investment, was really disappointing. Not to mention the fact that the seam came apart AGAIN on the other side of my mending stitches not even three wears later. I''m 5 feet 9 inches and I wear a size 10. I''m athletic but I''m certainly not straining the stitches on my own accord. This is a design flaw. A straight seam in the crotch isn''t a great idea, a gusset would remedy this.

Anyway, I''m not usually a whiner (note again, I like to sew), but considering the price you pay for a pair of these, I didn''t feel that this kind of flaw was acceptable. So, I contacted cw-x''s customer service about this back during the first week of December (2011). I was told that I should return my laundered tights to them and IF THEY DECIDE THAT THERE IS A DESIGN FLAW, then they will send me a new pair. IF NOT, they would send my own tights (holes and all) back to me. I was initially put off by this but since I spent so much money on them, I did as directed and sent the tights back (they offered to pay for postage after I asked about this but I just wanted to expedite the process so I paid the $3.22 to just get them on their way). It is mid-February 2012 now. I JUST GOT NEW TIGHTS AND IN A DIFFERENT COLOR BECAUSE MY ORIGINAL TIGHT COLOR WAS ON BACK-ORDER. I had to chase and chase and chase this up to get new tights and to actually have them sent to me. The communication with cw-x leaves a lot to be desired and their customer service is at best sub-par. Save yourself the money (not to mention the aggravation and the thread). Buy something from REI, EMS, or even L.L. Bean where if something happens to it, you can walk in (call in or write in too) and say to a Sales Representative "Hey, there''s something wrong with my tights" and they will say "OK, here''s a new pair". Companies who stand by the quality of their products don''t ask you to be able to review them first and then have to be hounded to complete the process. Frowny face. I''m headed to REI (or EMS, or even L.L. Bean for that matter).

I LOVE these pants! You get a great little warm up just pulling them on, and you feel like Barbie who can''t bend her legs all the way...but oh man. When you start running watch out. I was able to run a minute faster without any pain developing in my knees or shins. I was amazed. For the first time it was my lungs that dictated my run instead of my knees. These are a tad warm 3/4 length best for summer I bet. But these also don''t feel like "cold-weather" pants. I''m 5''7"/150 lbs and the medium is perfect. These dont sag anywhere, and they don''t feel too tight anywhere. They fit tight cuz they are tight. Also no jiggling! I think that''s why these helped me so much these reduce unneccessary movement in the thighs and calves so that all your muscle movement is focused on running. One last thing eventho these are tight, they don''t give you muffin top. Unless maybe you have a muffin top without any help. :)

These tights are great, however, do not put them in the dryer.

Mine got put in the dryer and came out looking OK....so I ran in

them again. That was a big mistake I ended up with all kinds of

pain in my legs. Believe me they are ruined even if you can not see it.

Overall, they are very nice.

Although these tights are a little long for me (I''m 5''2") they work great and I''ve never had a pair of tights last so long. I''ve had them for four winters and they still work as great as the first year. I use them for runs and the gym and i won''t by another brand now.
