I was gradually working my way up to longer work outs, when I experienced a break in the bungee cord that provides tension on the pulley that collects the row belt. The cord became pinched and ultimately snapped. The company provides a 2 year warranty, so I sent an email on a Sunday afternoon and got an email response from the president within a couple of hours. By the end of the week, I received a new cord and replaced it within minutes.
While this kind of customer service is expected for such a high end piece of equipment, it seems like it''s becoming ever more rare these days.
Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase, and with the work out that I get from this machine. Knowing that they stand behind their equipment is a testament to me that Healthcare Int''l is also a great company.

Having used the NordicTrack Rowing Machine until it wore out decided to try the H2O ProRower RX-750. Received and set it up without incident well packed and easy to follow instructions. They even supplied chlorine tablets, tools and if necessary a plastic shim to align the blades. Unlike most computers, this one has a very large display and is easy to use. Filling the tank was a snap, they provided both a funnel and siphon unit. What a smooth ride the H20 ProRower is the best IMHO

I try to be fair with my reviews. I wrote one on this product over a year ago but it was recently removed despite a very helpful rating. I like this rower but the monitor is really substandard and inaccurate. Neverthless the rower unit is sturdy and you can get an excellent workout. However if you want to track your progress, you will be frustrated with the monitor. First, is is oversized and gets in the way when you row in proper form. Second, the monitor is very inaccurate. If it is too close to the tank, your heart rate will read at twice the actual rate. Third, the strokes per minute is way off. Fourth, the distance measure is exagerated. I presume the time is the only reliable data on the monitor. Despite all of this, you still can get a decent workout if you only time your workouts. They really need to completely redesign the monitor for this rower to be a solid workout machine.I realize that most causal exercisers won''t care about the monitor but if you are serious, try the Water Rower or Concept 2 rowers that cost twice the price.
My first critical review I generously gave this rower a 4 star rating because I thought the average user wouldn''t care about the monitor. This time I give it three stars.

I purchased this rower just over 2 years ago. That''s an important number to keep in mind, because it''s when the warranty expires on things like the bungee cord that keeps tension on the pull mechanism. So you can imagine my delight when, during a workout, that bungee cord snapped. I was using it about 5-6 hours a week most weeks-nothing extraordinary or unusual. Finding the website for the ProRower was challenging, and once I found it there wasn''t any information of use for repair. The only solution was to send in the entire rower for service. Oh, and in order to do so I would also need the original packaging, which was an 8ft by 3ft by 3ft cardboard box that I had to throw out shortly after purchase. Also, shipping, both to and from their location, was my responsibility. After reading all of that, I was less disappointed by the fact that I was out of warranty. Even under warranty, it would have been cost-, time-, and effort-prohibitive to send it in.Other issues I experienced in 2 years included the leaking water tank that another commenter mentioned, as well as excessive wear to the casters on the seat, causing noise and uneven sliding of the seat. I noticed the water tank started leaking a couple of months before the bungee cord snapped-it''s possible that it somehow weakened the cord. However, as I stated above, without the original box and a large chunk of cash for shipping, it was not possible to send it back for repair. There was also no way I could see to purchase new seat casters to replace my old ones; I had to live with the problem.
I would recommend that people purchase from a more transparent company. For instance, the Concept2 website has full service manuals and schematics. Thay have a full parts store online, should the need arise. When one spends this amount of money on a piece of equipment, one expects it to last several years, with the ablity to perform minor repairs and maintanence along the way. A well-established company with strong support is mandatory. Sadly, I learned this lesson too late, and am now in the process of saving up for the rower I SHOULD have purchased 2 years ago, the Concept2.
