This book holder works fine on our treadmill even though our console is slightly rounded on the edge. We have read paperbacks, magazines, and hardcovers with it. The only trouble we had was with our hardcover being so heavy it pressed the buttons on the console. The holder is very nice and does exactly what we need it to do.
