I have had this inversion table for about two weeks now. So far I''m very satisfied. It does provide immediate yet temporary relief of back pain. I say temporary because it''s too early to tell if I would get a long lasting relief from back pain. I will update you in few months.
Here are my observations:
Package was a bit roughed up from its journey. It came with one of the plastic "cups" that go on the hinge of the stand broken. But I could do without that part since it''s just an esthetic part of the equipment.
Assembly was not too difficult. It took me a little over 4 hours to assemble it because I was watching TV too while assembling it. :) But, I believe it could be put together in about 2 hours.
Manual is confusing on certain steps. The nuts and bolts were not labeled so, I had to rely on trial and error on certain steps.
It does come with all the tools you need to assemble it. I.e..light weight screw driver etc.
The headrest is not adjustable. It looked from the picture that you could adjust the headrest. But I ended up not needing to adjust it anyway, so no biggie.
Like others mentioned, it''s a bit painful on the feet if you are fully inverted for more than few minutes. Wearing sneakers or very think socks helps a bit. I come back up after few minutes to give my feet a break and invert again.
The blood rushing into your head problem gets better as you get used to being inverted. Mine''s almost gone by now. I no longer feel the blood rushing as much. Just a bit.
The locking mechanism needs a bit getting used to. It may feel stuck or broken at first until you get used to it and know how it works.
The equipment is very sturdy and feels "safe" while on it.
Overall, I''m satisfied. If you suffer from lower back pain related ailments this definitely will help you. I think I may have a mild case of sciatica and am hoping this tool will help relieve some of that so I could get back to what I love doing... running marathons!! Good luck!!!
Update: 12/04/2011
It has been over a year and half since I bought this equipment and I thought I would give an update of my experience.
I must say this is one equipment that is worth every penny. I can''t describe enough how satisfied I''m with it so far. Every time my back aches, I get on it for few minutes and when I''m done the first thing that comes out of my mouth is "Wow". The pain just magically disappears and the feeling is almost euphoric. No pain medication can work that fast!
I have not had any issues with it so far. Nothing is loose or broken. It is still as sturdy and works as great as it did on day one. I highly recommend it!I''ve had the product for a little over a month. I use it for a few minuites just before I go to bed. I started feeling a difference in my back in just a couple of weeks. I used to wake up with stiffness, now theres none. I definitley recommend this to everyone with lower back pain.
The only cons I can think of:
Its very heavy. When the box arrives, don''t move it alone or you will hurt your back even more. Don''t even think that you will be folding it and putting it away ever.
The ankle restaints are a little uncomfortable when you are fully inverted. Wearing a pair of sneakers helps a lot though.

I started to get a pain in my leg and the doctor sent me to a physical therapist which gave me back exercises. With all of the exercises and the IronMan LXT850 inversion table I''ve been able to almost eliminate the pain in my leg. When I started physical therapy I asked the physical therapist if he recommended inversion therapy. He said he liked the concept (couldn''t fully endorse it for various reasons) so I ordered this one through amazon. Just 5 minutes a day, morning and night has straightened out my back. My physical therapist said he could see my back was crooked before the therapy and a few weeks after inversion therapy my back had straightened out. For me its not a cure all. Its a good part of my exercise regiment but inversion therapy alone doesn''t fix my back problems.I''m 6''4'''' and weigh @230 and it was perfectly balanced for me. I had no problems easing my way to upside down and back up again. I thought the locking mechanism was broke when I assembled it but I realized that you really had to push it. Now the unlocking is really easy to me but the locking I still have to whack it. Also the instructions say to ease your way to being completely upside down. I tried a couple of times and found my body didn''t like being slightly angled down. When I went completely upside down, I had almost no issues.
I highly recommend this inversion table and would recommend to anyone with lower back problems.

I''m a woman, mid 40''s suffering with chronic lower back and right knee pain for going on 8-9 years. I take a med. which helps with chronic muscle soreness which is probably due to common stress over the years. A teacher friend of mine told me about his inversion table and less than a week later I had my own table. I am using this machine for meditative as well as physical therapy. Losing weight is not a goal but loosening up my muscles and joints and learning how to focus more on my mind and body is my goal. If I wanted to do some ab. muscle work this table is a great option for that...hence the name "AB Training Inversion System". This table has it all. It''s very well made and durable and will last certainly a very long time. One of the first main attractions of this table for me is the wood padded polyurethane foam cushion back and head rest. The nylon covering over the cushion is well made. I would have probably picked a different color than maroon but the silver inset color looks really nice. It comes with a lumbar support which is a much needed comfort for me. The locking mechanism is probably the most important and versatile part of the machine. I highly recommend this particular model because of all of the bells and whistles which makes this a complete stretching machine. The bar on the bottom of the unit helps stabilize you when fully inverted. I could easily fall asleep on this machine because of the feeling of weightlessness. Bending your knees slightly will help you come back up when you are finished with your excercise. Go at your own pace and stretch out little by little until you feel your back start stretching and/or popping. Breathing really helps and is essentially the most important part for any type of excercise. After using this incredible machine for one night, off and on for about 2 hours, I woke up the next morning feeling refreshed with no soreness and ready to use it again. This machine is fairly big and can take up quite a bit of space, but it does fold up. It''s pretty heavy too. I am more than happy (thrilled) with my purchase, and less than a week ago this machine was almost $10 more than what it shows this 2nd of March. So this is a very good bargain and well worth the cost. I have Amazon Prime so the shipping was free.Want IronMan LXT850 Locking Inversion Therapy Table Discount?
This Ironman LXT850 inversion table is the BEST! It was a Christmas gift to myself last year and I use it just about every day after my work-out and whenever I''ve been standing for long periods of time. I''ve had lower back problems for years and standing for any length of time exacerbates the discomfort. The LXT850 provides instant relief for my lower back. I love the feeling of my spine decompressing, vertabrae by vertabrae. I even like the blood rushing to my head, which really bothered me when I first started using this piece of equipment. It took me awhile to tolerate more than a few minutes hanging upside-down, but after ten months of use, I can easily hang for 10 to 15 minutes at a time. I''ve even worked up to performing hanging sit-ups. It took awhile to manage that one and I still haven''t perfected it, but the locking mechanism on LXT850 comes in handy for this move. The inversion table itself is quite heavy, but very well built and sturdy. I highly recommend the LXT-850!
