I Crossfit so I ordered these to protect my shins from all the deadlift motions we do. They protect the shins well but are are kind of thick so they won''t pair well with tight shoes. I thought the red part was extra thick from the picture but it is the same as the black. I hesitated to give it 4 out of 5 since a adidas Men''s Metro Soccer Sock would probably provide enough protection for less than half the price ($6.99 vs $16.95). Basically, I''m glad to have them but won''t pay the Moxy Socks premium again.

I''ve started heavy deadlifting in my workouts and after 1 workout, it was apparent that sweat pants alone would not provide enough padding: the bar was leaving painful red marks on my legs. I bought a few pair of soccer socks but still wanted more padding. Discovered the MOXY brand and it''s exactly what I need: lots on padding on the front shin, super soft, go all the way up over the knee cap (my soccer socks don''t) -I couldn''t be happier. Will be ordering more pairs soon. A++.

helps with cleans, snatches, and deadlifts. shins still a bit red after a wod. not great compression. but they get the job done. haven''t biffed it yet on a boxjump yet to know how much they will help there.

Really nice socks. I like the venting and of course the extra protection on the shins. I am a 48 year old crossfitter and box jumps actually seem easier because I am not thinking about whacking my shins on the box when I jump.

These are very high quality socks; durable and thick. I used these at the box today and they held up to the deadlift bar without a snag, and I didn''t leave any blood on the bar like I usually end up doing. Expensive, but worth it!
