Danskin Women''s Supplex Legging

The quality of the Danskin CoolMax Supplex leggings has really gone down since they moved their factory and they are simply not the same product. The fabric on the new leggings is much thinner, the crotch panel is smaller and not cotton, the overall feel of the leggings is ''chintzy'' and most of all they are poorly constructed in the first wearing the stitching around the crotch panel started to give way and a hole formed. This happened on not one, but TWO pairs. I have a third pair, but am not going to ''test'' it two is enough to prove the quality. And no, I''m not trying to stuff myself into leggings that are too small I bought size large because I like them to be a bit longer in the waist and leg, but am actually more of a medium (size 6).

I have been wearing Danskin leggings Style 1562 for at least 15 years and had at least 7 to 10 pairs over that time some of which I still own and are in good shape (no crotch holes!) despite years and years of wear/wash and too many times of accidentally hitting the dryer. I would have given THOSE leggings 5 stars and a rave review (and have on other sites), but these new leggings (they say FIRY 814 where you''d see Style 1562 previously) are 1 star leggings at best when two pairs fail in the first wearing it''s a bad thing.

I waited for 6 MONTHS to get my leggings while Danskin moved it''s factory and would have been totally happy with that wait if in the end I had received the leggings I know and love, sadly I did not. On the upside while Danskin was ''closed'' I did find another brand that is almost as good and will probably switch over.

These are my leggings of choice just enough support to be helpful, with enough elasticity to be comfortable. Good all around leggings for workouts, go-outs, anything.

I like these leggings, I bought them so I could have something slim-fitting to wear while biking. They are comfortable, they wick sweat away from your body well, and they are well-constructed. I will say they are a tad long for me at 5''6", but I prefer them long rather than too short, so that is not a problem.

Danskin supplex leggings were the only leggings I would buy/wear for years. To me Danskin meant quality. I still have a pair that I bought at Macy''s 22 years ago and they''re just like new...and I''ve worn them many, many times! In my opinion, the greatest article of clothing ever made....not anymore. Yesterday I received shipment on a pair I purchased as a gift and was beyond disappointed at the total lack of quality; fabric, fit, detail were all very poor. I could have bought this garbage at a local discount dept.store for $8.99 and saved myself time, money and AGGRAVATION! Who is Danskin trying to fool with this overpriced, sub-standard piece of crap merchandise?! I should have paid better attention to the other review warning of the decline in the quality of these leggings.Shame on me, SHAME ON DANSKIN!

I like the sucking in quality of these, but they''re certainly not as comfortable as other pairs of leggings. Also, I''ve had them for 10 months and they have 2 holes in them already. Not cool. I won''t be repurchasing.
