Things I like about the Sprint Zip:
Wool breathes really great and is very comfortable to break a sweat in
The weight is good and is not so heavy that it gets too hot for our mild SC winters. Way more comfortable than the synthetic light windbreaker running jackets.
Collar is nice before and after a run to stay a little warmer. The collar is comfortable both fully zipped and when its unzipped.
Zipper is great for venting and is very easy to adjust while running. The zipper''s length is nice.
The fit is OK for my needs. Its not skin tight so I can pull it over another shirt easily or wear it around non-runners after a workout without looking too strange but its also not too lose. I''m 6ft 1in, 150 lbs and have the large. The arms were too short in the medium size. Smaller sizes would be tighter obviously.
Like other merino gear, I can run (and sweat) in the top 3-4 times before needing to wash it as long as I let it hang dry between uses. Besides being a constant source of fascinating its also a time saver and maybe a money saver.
Things that could be better:
The arms need to be about 1in longer for the thumb holes to work well for me. I can make them work but I really need to stretch the arms to do so which I suspect causes the arms to be less warm. I wish Icebreaker would make a "tall" version of their long sleeve tops.
Assuming the arm length was better for me I would also want the top to be 100% merino. I have another Icebreaker 200 top that IS 100% merino but does not have the zipper and collar which makes it less versatile than the Sprint. It seems to hold off odor slightly better which I suspect is due to the fabric being 100% merino but that''s just a guess. This is minor though.
