Accoutrements Mr. Tap Water Bottlethis is so cute! the lid is easy to un/screw & is secure. the graphics are very clever/cute just as pictured.

This water bottle has a great 1950''s design. Not only does it make fun of those who drink expensive bottled water but also those who insist upon expensive $25.00 "sig-type" water bottles. The cap fits on tight and it''s a good size. I did have a friend who used one exhaustively and the design did start to wear off, however.

Amy Bento''s Advanced Step Challege 4 DVD

Amy Bento''s Advanced Step Challege 4 DVDI love this DVD. The combos are a ton of fun, and the premixes even better. I love that Amy doesn''t break down her moves; it means this DVD is not going to become boring. You can be an advanced stepper fitness-wise, but if you''re not an advanced stepper when it comes to picking up choreo, you may be better off with Cathe or somebody who breaks down moves forever to make SURE that you''ve got it; this video won''t be for you (which doesn''t make it bad, just not for you). An exercise video is not supposed to be just like a class, because it''s not live, and you want it to stay interesting over time; if that''s what you want, get this video. There''s even a great premix with all the combos not broken down at all, which is just pure fun.

I had Amy Bento''s advanced step challenge 3 and enjoyed it, but it got lost in my house so I decided to try another one of her workouts. Step challenge 3 was difficult to learn, but I was able to get through most of the work out on the first try with only a few of the moves taking a few viewings to get down. Step Challenge 4 is a whole different story. Can you say frustrating? She has virtually no call outs, no warm ups into the moves. She starts out as if you''ve already done the combos 100 times and goes through at warp speed. The previews are of some help, but once you hit the regular program she goes through the moves way to fast. I could see this taking a number of viewings to get all the moves down I always liked the way the DVD was laid out with the option to put together your own workouts, but what she needs is to add some sections that are in between the preview and her full bore speed where she actually calls things out and maybe breaks them down a little before putting the whole combo together like you would do in every step class I''ve ever taken. I''m an advanced stepper, but this DVD was disappointing

Amy has done it again. She''s come up with some fun new step moves with rocking music. Her latest is a 55 minute workout, consisting of 4 routines; each routine is followed by an interval. Also included is a tough power up section if you''re feeling extra energetic.

The choreography is complicated. I think it''s even more complex than Amy''s prior workouts. I learned the routines by watching the DVD first. I then tried the preview section and one routine at a time. I didn''t worry about my heart rate, I focused on learning the steps. I sure felt good when I finally mastered a move!

What I really liked about this DVD:

**the moves were perfectly choreographed to the music.

**the extensive preview section. Amy is known for her complicated choreography. In the preview section, she breaks down the new moves and also shows them on both the left and right sides. You get a chance to practice the moves several times.

**the unique moves make step aerobics seem like a totally new workout. I''ve been stepping for years and it''s hard to find a workout with fun, new choreography. How many repeaters or over the step moves can one take?

**it''s tough. My heart is definitely pumping after doing this.

**it''s very easy to modify the high impact moves. I do so all the time and I''m still at the high end of my aerobic range.

**several premixes are available. My favorite premix incorporates the power-up moves after each routine.

Some things to note about this workout:

**the background is very pink, to put it mildly. I don''t know if it was the lighting, or the wall colors, but there''s a lot of pink. I happen to love the color pink, but this was a bit much for me.

**the backdrop seems very cluttered. There are two locker sets, each filled with towels and balls, two stability balls and two weight benches. It''s distracting.

**the set seemed crowded since there are five background exercisers, in addition to Amy. You can''t even see the exerciser in the very back, since she''s positioned right behind Amy. It would have looked better with maybe 3 background exercisers.

In spite of the set issues, I still enjoyed this workout. After doing the workout a few times, I didn''t even notice the set or the background exercisers.

If you''re looking for a fun and challenging step workout that works both your body and your mind, you will like this one.

Pearl iZUMi Men''s Select Sleeveless Triathlon Tri Jersey

Pearl iZUMi Men''s Select Sleeveless Triathlon Tri Jersey,Fiery Red/White,SmallI have just finished 2nd tri with this jersey (black color) and I feel that it has more drag in the pool that I would like. Next tri I am swimming without it. I am right on the line between large and medium and maybe if I ordered medium it would be better.

For bike and run part I think is great. It dries quickly and there is little to no chafing (chest area). Overall good buy and I have dramatically improved my T1 and T2 times.

As Seen on TV "Flex Shaper" Flex System Complete Body Exercise System

As Seen on TV ''Flex Shaper'' Flex System Complete Body Exercise SystemUnit arrived dead on arrival!!!!! The 4 spring pins that hold the handles were broken. To remedy the problem, I had to drill through tubes and make the connections with 4 stove bolts. The unit was obviously packed in this broken condition.

GOOD:

This is a very good innovation in the sporting goods.

I like the design of the Flex.

The thing looks very nice.

BAD:

One spring pin that hold the handles was broken.

Also resistance of the the springs are very low.

The Flex is good for girls and women, maybe for relaxation but not for real men.

PortaPocket Essentials, a Strap-on-the-body Carrying Case

PortaPocket Essentials, a Strap-on Carrying Case / Travel Wallet System, BlackI usually use my Portapocket at the gym for my I-pod, YMCA card, and ear buds. But it was also very useful when we went to Williamsburg, VA. I wore it around my calf under my slacks, and it held my phone, credit card, cash, hotel room key, and car keys. It was reassuring to know I could not lose those things! Anyone who commutes or travels or goes to the gym should get one of these.

I love this product, and knew I had to have it, the moment I heard about it. I was responding to the fabulous possibility of choosing to enjoy the convenience of a pocket regardless of what I was wearing. When I received my own porta pocket I was totally surprised by the quality and comfort of the actual product and just how much I enjoy using it.

In addition to being burdensome, handbags are fashion items and, quite frankly, I love them. They will always find a place in my wardrobe and, frequently be important to the look I wish to achieve and to the way I choose to present myself. However, now that I own a porta pocket, there are many times that I go out "hands free" and "handbag free" knowing that the things I truly need (phone, cash, credit card, key) are comfortably and securely with me, in my porta pocket. It is the best kind of freedom--freedom I obtained for myself.

Buy PortaPocket Essentials, a Strap-on-the-body Carrying Case Now

What a cool product! Since I''m not a skirt person, I wore the PortaPocket on my ankle. I usually wear nylon warmup pants when I''m traveling--no belt, elastic around the hems of each leg. That made me less paranoid about giving PortaPocket a try.

But I had no reason to be worried, the strap was nice and secure. I didn''t like wearing the larger pocket on my ankle, but it makes a great protective sleeve for my iPod touch in my backpack.

When I got to Salt Lake City, I unpacked and was going to put the cards from the PortaPocket back in my regular wallet when I discovered that the velcro from the pouch stuck to the inside of the pocket of my pants. That settled it for me, the PortaPocket is a winner! Now I need the big wallet to hold my passport on the overseas trips.

Lifeline USA Power Push-Up with DVD

Power Push Up 3 with 60lb CablesI feel that as a fellow consumer, it is my duty to write reviews in order to inform others of my experience with a product, whether it be positive or negative.

In the case of Lifeline''s Power Pushup, the product had a very promising proposition = eliminate the need for a bench/barbell/weights, and replace it all with the Power Pushups! As I wanted to transition to working out 100% at home, this product sounded like a perfect fit for my home gym, since it eliminated the need to purchase bulky equipment. It all sounded too good to be true, and indeed to my dismay, after using it for a solid 2-3 months, I have finally decided to ditch the Power Pushups altogether.

There are a few negatives I would like to cover:

*(1) The Power Pushups doesn''t work the chest in an effective manner. Why? Well, if you can imagine a regular bench press... as you are pressing upwards, the weight is always constant. When your arms are at a right angle with your body, the amount of resistance is the exact same as if your arms were fully extended. This provides full resistance throughout the ENTIRE "pressing" motion.

On the other hand, with the Power Pushups, even though the bands provide full resistance when your arms are fully extended, as soon as you lower your chest to the ground, the resistance drops dramatically to nearly zero. This proves to be a major problem if your goal is to work out your chest. Because as any bodybuilder knows, the most effective "zone" to work out your chest is when your arms are approaching a right angle with your chest -your chest is fully stretched in this position, and if the bands don''t provide extra resistance in this zone, then you are essentially just doing a regular pushup. It doesn''t matter that the Power Pushups provide full resistance when your arms are fully extended because that only works out your triceps -not your chest. In summary, the Power Pushups does not provide constant resistance throughout the full range of the pressing motion, and therefore does not give your chest the proper resistance that it needs.

*(2) Secondly, after a week or two of usage, the bands became considerably "looser" and more elastic. It was plenty obvious that the rubber did not provide the same resistance that it had straight out of the box.

*(3) It may just be a specific problem with me, but after using the Power Pushups for awhile, my shoulder developed slight pain, almost as if my rotator cuffs were being affected. I tried different hand positions (forward/back/closer/wider), and different band positions (higher back, lower back), but the problem still continued. I never had this problem with regular bench presses/pushups, so I''m assuming the Power Pushups were stretching my body in ways that it wasn''t supposed to.

So, some of you are wondering at this point: "how do I work out my chest at home?" If you already hit a plateau in your chest growth and have gotten used to doing regular pushups, then here is my suggestion to you: Grab any backpack, and fill it with bottles of water, a bag of rice/flour, or anything that''s heavy enough to provide resistance. Then wear it on your back and do pushups as you would regularly. Here''s a rough guideline to know if the backpack is "heavy enough": If you can''t do 10 reps, then the weight is too heavy. If you can do more than 10 reps, then the weight is too light. This backpack solution seems simple, but works well because wearing a weighted backpack provides resistance throughout the entire range of motion to your chest, just like how a bench press would.

Good luck, and I hope this review helped you make a more informed decision.

Hey y''all, just wanted to give a little heads up on the power pushup. Awesome product number one. Lifeline USA is really puts out great, quality products. I would have to say that the bands will last for a while, and the equipment has so multi-facet. I say this because you''re getting two lifeline products for the price of one! Well, I made the mistake of buying this product and chest expander. Not mistake as in they aren''t get pieces of equipment. No! What I mean is that the handles that come with the power pushup are exactly the same as the chest expander. Therefore, all you have to do is buy some of the tubes off the lifeline website (for the chest expander) and you got that as well. I think they''re both awesome! buy getting the resistance bands is cheaper. Cool. I''m out

This is good for added resistance for push-ups but the progression to additional bands (the ones included) is quite steep. You might have to buy bands with different resistance in order to progress in lesser increments.

as a 180 lb male in his 30''s that usually bench presses with weights between 200 and 250 lbs

this has been an effective substitute for bench press for me.

I have been looking for a way to avoid the gym and get a decent workout at home and in a safe manner in the morning before work.

With a combination of these power pushups, the lifeline cables with triple grip handles, a set of heavy dumbells, the product known as "the rack", and the product known as "the iron gym" I have managed to get a pretty decent workout at home that hits all muscle groups. For legs, I concentrate on doing one legged calf raises and one legged squats.

It can be done you can get a decent workout at home in your basement even if you dont have a lot of room for equipment.

Yes I was expecting a good fast work-out.What I got was good clean power push ups every time. One thing you get used to is those darn push-ups and the amount of time you have to spend doing them. Well the power push up cuts down on the amount of time and gives increased results. That is right in the shoulder blades and chest right where it counts!

ASICS Men''s Hooded Sweatshirt

ASICS Men''s Hooded Sweatshirt, Black, SmallNice quality sweatshirt. I''d call the material on the heavier side of medium weight. Not the heaviest that I have but definitely not one of the cheap, thin things. Hood is not lined, which I''d rather have, but for the price and given the quality otherwise I can live with it.

Main reason for leaving this review is to note that these appear to run LARGE. I usually go with a large for most hoodies but bought a medium given another review and price difference. Glad that I didn''t get the large! The medium is bigger than most large sizes that I''ve had.

Bottom line I''d buy another.

The Asics hooded sweatshirt has instantly made it to the top of my Sunday morning/afternoon wardrobe. It''s super comfortable. But it is HEAVY....which it should be since, duh, it''s a sweatshirt. I like the fact that Asics did not cheap out on the materials...don''t be fooled by those $10 fleece sweaters at Old Navy or those $25 NCAA/NFL hoodies you see everywhere. This one is different...it''s much, much better. The cotton is thicker and more dense, and the color does not fade after use.

Now, if I could just keep it away from my girlfriend and sisters...

Bought this on sale when it was only $15 and wasn''t expecting much. However, the quality of the hoodie is excellent and it''s very warm and comfortable. The one problem I had with it is that the sizes run a bit large. I was aiming for a more tighter/snug fit with this so I ordered an extra small but it''s easily a small and maybe even a medium compared to hoodies from a different brand. The length was perfect but it was very loose (I''m about 5''7" , 140 lbs to give you a general idea of the fit).

Pearl Izumi Women''s Infinity Inrcool Long Sleeve Shirt

Pearl Izumi Women''s Infinity Intercool Long Sleeve Shirt,Black/ White,MediumI bought this shirt for running and to avoid tanning too much. It''s great! The fabric is wonderfully light with a cooling effect. I''m relatively petite and bought a small size -I''d say it runs just right. If I wanted to push the sleeves up, they stay up, and if I wanted to let them long, they also stay in place. As a summer long-sleeve athletic shirt, I would have preferred to have more cooling vents, perhaps under the arms. But otherwise, it''s a great shirt.

What a fantastic product! I''ve ridden in over 30''C and stayed comfortable. I thought I might get hot with the long sleeves, but my arms are actually cooler than if I was in short sleeves. I think we underestimate the full effects of the sun on our skin. The zip-up collar is another plus, as you don''t get the ''v'' shaped tan mark on your neck. The sleeves seem to be a tad longer so that in the riding position, they just overlap my gloves so all is covered. This is a great shirt so I don''t understand why they are so hard to find to buy. Sizing is accurate too.

I bought this shirt for cycling, and found it perfect when the temps are in the 60-70s range. In cooler temps, I layer it under a warmer shirt.

It''s pretty good at wicking away sweat and keeping me warm and dry.

One minor complaint is that when I''m on a bike, the cuffs of the sleeves always peel back, leaving my wrists exposed. I wish it had longer sleeves, maybe even with thumb-holes.

Icebreaker Women''s Tempest Zip

Icebreaker Women''s Tempest ZipLike most IB things this is a cosy and warm piece with a touch of style. It''s heavyweight (320), but I wouldn''t change it for anything else, because of the fit, versatility, comfort and great design. It dries little longer that you could wish it did, but since you don''t have to wash it so often (no stink), it''s a great piece to enjoy at home and take everywhere you''re going at anytime (the deep zip gives you extra ventilation, so even on warmer days you won''t get overheated).

New Balance Women''s Sequence Jacket

New Balance Women''s Sequence Jacket, Virtual Pink, SmallI bought this for my trip to Disney. I was trying to pack lightly, and was going to be there for 10 days, including running the Goofy challenge in the process. I didn''t want to bring too many jackets, so this served as my light jacket (thanks to laundry on-site!) as well as my running gear.

It has a definite athletic look to it...the reflective strips and the material. However, because it''s black, I noticed that in photos it wasn''t obviously a running jacket. It just looked like a regular jacket. The ventilator panel keeps things cool, which I needed, and the material cannot be beat. It''s a soft, almost silky, material that flows nicely when running, doesn''t hold sweat, or any other moisture for that matter, and was easily packed...no wrinkles!

For me, the best thing about this jacket was the fit. It lies flat across my hips and my bust. I never had to adjust, it never felt tight in the bust or rode up over my hips, which is a common problem for me. I noticed this in the running photos afterward...the jacket is in the right place the whole time!

Also, if you''re considering this for running; I chose to wear a camel bak for the marathon (I have enough of a belly that I am uncomfortable with the fuel belt and I''m constantly adjusting it) and it did not bunch up at all. The fit was such that the camel bak went over it easily and it didn''t look odd. I''ve got other jackets that are looser and it looks like there is fabric coming out everywhere with the camel bak on. This was not the case.

Definitely recommend!

I use this jacket during my runs when the weather is cool or windy. Love it! A great windbreaker, and on long runs it keeps me comfortable as my core temperature changes. A great, flattering fit; true to size.

Isometric Exercise Trainer

Isometric Exercise TrainerA compact unit that measures your effort when pulling or pushing on the handles ..fantastic! But all the movements in the exercise video are wrong-headed: Isometrics involve NO movement, and the extraneous movements they recommend while pulling or pushing on the handles:1/Is NOT being measured, thus isn''t progressive. 2/Distracts you from your full effort where it counts, the basic pull or push, which IS being measured. 23 exercises? No, really it''s essentially TWO exercises, but it''s two really GREAT exercises, which will work the entire upper body. Put all your effort into 1 max-effort push and 1 max-effort pull, with the hands about 8 inches in front of the chest, and as strange as it may seem , you can get a full upper body workout..

Has anybody had trouble with the Battery compartment, and losing the connection. Had to send mine back, and deceided not to re-order. Just couldn''t get the the IGRIP to work. Tried everything with the terminals, different batteries, no luck. I was wondering if this is an isolated case. Was realy impressed with the workmanship, and dissapointed, but will wait til, this little safu is corrected. Mine came with directions, regarding the terminals.

It is a pity that the I-Grip is not as well known as the

Bullworker or other similar isometric devices.

I, by accident, ran into your Web site, and

that was the manner I found out about the I-Grip.

I am very happy that I bought it!

The 200 pounds exertion limit of this device is more

than enough for the great majority of male human beings.

The only set back that I see in it, is that there is not

much that you can do to strengthen, isometricaly,

your legs.

For the upper body conditioning I give the I-grip an A+.

Overall, I rate it with a B+.

Want Isometric Exercise Trainer Discount?

This is a great little product for improving arm strength through isometrics. Isometrics is putting your body in a static contraction of the muscles. You either press or pull on the handles and hold the position for the time that you set. So I set it for 10 seconds and either push my arms together or pull them apart and hold the contraction. As you''re doing this exercise which you can do in various positions, the unit shows the force you''re exerting instanteously. It goes up to 200 lbs. But I''ve never exceeded 70 lbs in a ten second set. All you do is hit the power button, wait about three seconds, and then set the timer. It automatically sets to six seconds, and then you hold the timer for the length of contraction you want. So I set it for ten seconds. When you complete your set, it instantly goes back to 0 seconds. And you''re ready to begin the next set either in the same position or a different position, pushing or pulling, your choice. The computer is quick so you don''t have to wait more than a few seconds to begin again. It shows you your maximum force after the set.

Well, it''s fun, easy to use, works to your level, but gives you motivation to push or pull harder as you see the numbers vary. The only improvement might be a sound for the timer clicking away. Otherwise, you''re guessing when the set is over. There is a visible counter and it''s easy to read, bright, and angles inward to see better, but I would have liked a beeping timer or perhaps a voice counting down the seconds. That would have been a great improvement. Then it''s like having a trainer. Imagine if the trainer also counted down, but motivated you to work harder, too.

"Five seconds to go....now pull harder...3, 2, 1...GREAT JOB!" Or maybe you can customize the motivation comments. There''s a lot of possible improvement for the next version.

It''s a great little product, light, easy to use, and obviously will challenge most people forever. I don''t think I''ll ever hit 200 lbs, the maximum force it can measure. Or you can increase the duration of the contraction. But believe me, 10 seconds takes longer than you think. For the price, you can''t beat it.

Gold''s Gym Lose 10 lbs. Now! Workout DVD

Gold''s Gym Lose 10 lbs. Now! Workout DVDI have a lot of workout DVD''s but I like this one so much I stuck a label on it stating "Excellent!" so I would remember which one to use again and again. The DVD includes three ten-minute routines and I loved all of them. The first workout is with the step but you could just do it standing. The instructor for this first segment, "cardio blast" routine, is Jennifer Galardi she is down to earth and cues well. The workout includes plyometrics, side to side power jumps, plus hip stabilizers which have helped my push-ups a lot. The "metabolic boost" kettlebell workout with a different Jen is great! (whew!) 10 minutes gets your heart rate up and it is a fun routine. The third segment is "total body shrinker" with no rests between the exercises and it covers everything. I love it! EXCELLENT!

I love the fact that it is done in 10min segments so if I don''t have time to do the full workout, I can split it up. I have been trying to find another like it just for variation. My time is very limited so the 30 minutes is the key factor. Not to mention that in the 30 minutes, I burned 559 calories!!!! Absolutely love it!

I don''t like this workout. There are 3 people in each workout segment that appear to be in excellent shape, and I just can''t follow them. GSI Super Quality All-In-One Waterproof Heart Rate Monitor Watch and Transmitter Chest Belt

GSI Super Quality All-In-One Waterproof Heart Rate Monitor Watch and Transmitter Chest Belt - For Exercise, Sports, Running, Jogging and All Outdoor Activities - Data, Stopwatch, Chronograph and Alarm FunctionsI work out in the gym 5 days a week, for 45 to 100 minutes per workout. I am 51 years old, 6'' 2" and today weigh in at 216 lbs. I regularly use a heart rate monitor because the feedback motivates me to keep going. I generally need the chronograph to show me total time of my workout, and I like a calories burned counter to encourage how much fat burning I have done.

I could not believe the price on this item and ordered it primarily to check it out and have an extra heart rate monitor for when my others fail or have a battery go out, etc. I don''t like being without a heart rate monitor for my workouts. I have used this item for 3 workouts now and can recommend the product with a few caveats.

At less than $20, this item cannot be beat. The chest strap alone is worth more than what you would pay for this whole system. The watch allows entering personal user data such as gender, age, height, weight, maximum heart rate and even VO2Max. It will display your BMI based upon the entered data, and obviously uses the statistics to calculate calories and fat burned based upon heart rate and time of exercise.

The biggest negative about this item is that the display is difficult to read. The background is dark green. My other heart rate monitors have a light gray background and are much easier to read. I don''t know if contrast needs to be adjusted on it or what, but the watch is not as easy to read as my other watches. I have learned to tilt the watch at a 45 degree angle to read it the best, but the angle has to be just right to be able to read it. Also, it helps a lot to have light directly overhead. When I am in a dimly lit hallway, I have a very difficult time reading it. A backlight does come on when a button is pressed, but it does not stay on for long and I actually think the backlight makes it even more difficult to read. Nevertheless, keep in mind that my eyes are tired and old at 51 years of age, and I often reach for reading glasses and turn on a light in order to read. Younger individuals may not have as difficult time. This one negative issue, however, drops the rating from 5 stars to 4. It is a serious consideration in ordering this watch.

Another criticism I have is that the watch regularly cycles screens during a workout. This is nice when on an elliptical or treadmill, because you can just look at it and watch the different statistics show without having to push buttons. However, I like to use it while lifting weights, to make sure I don''t rest too much between sets, and to make sure I am pushing myself hard during the workout itself. For this activity, I would prefer to know exactly what screen is on when I go to look at it, and if I want to see calories, then know to hit the button twice to get to that screen. With the constant cycling, I don''t know what screen will be displaying when I look at it. I have to pause, squint at the hard to read screen, and figure out what screen it is on. It would have been nice if I could push or hold a button to turn cycling on or off.

The instruction manual is a little difficult to understand. It took me awhile just to figure out how to set the time. Once I figured out the logic of the buttons, however, using it is rather straight forward and not difficult at all. Following is a link to a manual to a similar watch which has option to transfer data to PC. This watch lacks the COMM option on the menu, but the other menu items are very similar.

One nice feature of this watch not normally found in watches costing $50 or less is that it will store data for your last 40 exercises. The stored data are also tallied, so you could see how much time, calories, and grams of fat were burned for the entire time you have been storing the data. I plan to use it for weekly totals since I generally track my progress by the end of each week. There are enough slots to do this for the month as well, or if you work out only 3 times a week, two months of data could be stored. You can traverse the menu to see each exercise individually as well. It will show the date and time of the workout, the average heart rate, the percent of maximum heart rate the average heart rate represents, the maximum heart rate during the exercise, the minimum heart rate and percent of maximum heart rate that it represents, the heart rate at the end of the exercise and its percent of maximum heart rate, the calories burned, the grams of fat burned, and items set in the user setup screen used in the calculations, such as your weight, height, and type of exercise (aerobic, exercise bike, stair stepper, treadmill, jog, walk, bike, or other).

A very nice feature I found that my other heart rate monitors do not have is a battery saving feature. I regularly have to replace batteries in my other heart rate monitors, and they stay in the drawer all the time except when I exercise. This watch allows me to turn the display off by holding in the Mode button for a few seconds. To turn it back on, press the mode button. Nice. I am using this feature regularly and trust that it will minimize how often I have to replace the battery.

The watch also allows setting up three zones for heart rate and will show a graph of where you are in the zone and whether you need to push harder or less, but I personally do not care about this feature and do not use it. I know what I want my heart rate to be while exercising and do not need a machine to tell me that.

The chest strap has a user replaceable battery, and it wirelessly transmits to the ellipticals and treadmills in my gym. I am very happy about that. I don''t like having to hold the monitors on those devices. It also works with my other watches, so if I decide I want an easier to read watch, I will use one of them with this chest strap. However, this watch tracks much more data than my other monitors, and it saves them. So for now, I am going to use this watch and see if I get use to using it.

Some reviews complain about the monitor being off on the heart rate. In my experience, all heart rate monitors suffer from this problem. The first time I used this, before I had worked up a sweat, the heart rate was erratically high, then low. I licked my fingers and wet the pads on the chest belt with my saliva. The monitor quickly became steady and consistently accurate. I have compared this to other more costly monitors and have found it to be close enough for what I do. I have absolutely no gripes about how well this heart rate monitor tracks heart rates compared to other monitors. In my opinion, it does the job and does it well. Users, should expect that many issues can affect the monitor, including whether or not the chest strap is wet (the instructions say to wet them with water before use), some shirts, especially microfiber, can interfere with it, and proximity to radios, magnets in speakers, fluorescent lights, etc. can all cause issues with the function of a heart rate monitor. Some more expensive monitors use digital transmission to try and remedy these problems, but it seems to me unfair to criticize this heart rate monitor in this area. This heart rate monitor works just as well as other heart rate monitors I have from Polar and Life Wise that cost three times what this one costs.

Overall, you just cannot go wrong for $20. If nothing else, it makes a great backup, but I think this may become my primary heart rate monitor now. The truth is that I probably will order another one to keep at home (I use this one at my office). The price is just too good.

compared to other items with similar features, this was a steal. I''ve only had it for a few weeks, so time will tell how durable it is. As it stands now, it''s got good features. good data storage. quality hr monitor. so-so on user friendliness.

I was very impressed with this product, how it kept track of so much information and seemed pretty accurate, and was comfortable to run with. Unfortunately, after three weeks it started giving wild readings. I am about to send it back, but I''m debating with myself whether to replace the battery, though that shouldn''t have died after a dozen uses.

I purchased this item to monitor my heart rate while exercising at the gym. The monitor also includes other functions but they are difficult to set up as the User''s Manual is poorly written and not helpful. The monitor works at times (maybe 50% of the time). Generally it does not work when you need it most that is when running on the treadmill. I usually get readings of 30 to 40 (well below the trigger rate of my pacemaker) or on the opposite a rate of 180 which is well beyond my reach at my age. The only positive point of this monitor is its price. It is cheap... Cheap is a good summary for this item.

Tells time fine. Knowing nothing about heart rate, I can''t speak to its accuracy, but it goes up as I work out. Only flaw is that it dose not have a light.

Nike Black Dri-FIT Feather Light Visor

Nike Black Dri-FIT Feather Light VisorI have looked high and low for a visor that would fit my smaller head (22" width), that has a low profile and doesn''t cause a headache trying to keep it on. I tried 4 other brands, all were uncomfortable and the bands are way too tall. This visor is soft and feather light. I am buying several.

The visor is fine very lightweight...

The previous review was silly! Take off the tag besides, blue is for boys!

Steelflex Pec Dec / Fly Machine

Steelflex Pec Dec / Fly Machine.

I think it''s better for tone and rehab than building mass. See the first CON below and be prepared to use repetitions instead of increasing weight for more challenge. For many of us, that''s suitable.

CONS...

Maximum resistance is not very challenging. I''m not that strong but I can easily work the unit even at maximum (6). Setting 1 is probably for rehab just to work the motion. That makes it a CON since building mass is not really the best application of this design. Serious lifters will not be challenged. It''s your decision what category you fall into but I wanted to clarify how this system compares to those where you can keep adding weight. After setting 6 that''s not an option here. Either increase repetitions or put this later in your exercise rotation when you are already fatigued.

Price particularly given the issue of the highest setting

PROS...

+ Comes complete no plates to purchase (a cylinder provides resistance) and no tools aside from a wrench (although it includes Allens).

+ Easy to assemble took about 1 hour going at a relaxed pace

+ Quiet to operate no clanking

+ Not as heavy as many units largest single piece for assembly is 40 lbs. Once assembled it''s easy to move around. Rollers on front skid, levers on back skid.

+ Smaller footprint than many units. No overhead clearance issues. The highest point is 48 inches. The widest it gets is 42 inches.

+ Workmanship is good paint finish, pad stitching, etc.

DEPENDS ON YOUR POINT OF VIEW...

> Resistance is in both directions closing stroke and opening stroke. Not the same as a weight fly where the weight pulls you back. Here YOU pull it back and you can rest at any point in the stroke (i.e., the machine doesn''t return you). So unless you pull it all the way back to start your workout suffers. Different feel. But it seems more safe as you can''t "fail" and be yanked back to the start. When you stop pushing, or pulling, it stops.

If I were to do it again, I would have chosen something like the Body Solid GPM65 and used the leftover money for plates. As it stands this fits easily into my workout area and I put it late in my exercise rotation (and keep increasing the reps).

Note that the box is considerable and so the delivery company will want to arrange an appointment and you will sign for it.

Hope this helps.

.

This product was easy to put together. It is a great machine to get on and get a slow OR fast upperbody workout. It is great to have a variety of levels to have on it also. The only thing I would suggest is to have quite a bit of space to have it in since the pads on the side need room to store.

Reebok Men''s Premier ZigFly SE Running Shoe

Reebok Men''s Premier ZigFly SE Running Shoe,Silver/Black/Red,8.5 M USI''m a casual runner who maybe runs 15-20 miles per week, and I''ve always suffered from knee pain when running. I bought a good pair of shoes (Asics Gel Nimbus), and still had the bum knees. If I ran on hard pavement for 3+ miles, I would start to feel the pain. I bought two neoprene knee braces to ease the pain, but it was just a band-aid over the problem. Again, by mile 4 or 5 on pavement, I would start to get sharp pains in my knees. So guys at work started talking about how comfortable these shoes were, and I did a little research. On the Amazon reviews, there was surprisingly little to go on in regards to how these shoes perform for runners. Nonetheless, I read some other reviews that said there were super ''cushiony'' and were great at absorbing impact. I bought the off color (red/grey) because they were $45 (half the price of the other colors!). The shipping was minimal (~$5), and they arrived fairly quickly.

I put them on, and was a little unimpressed with how ''cushiony'' they felt. But I set up for my first run in them, put the leash on my dog, and took off. It was amazing. I had no knee braces, and we just ran. Having never ran more than 7 miles in my life, I felt like I could run forever. I ended up doing 10 miles at a solid pace for me, and was super impressed. Better yet, the knee pain was non-existent. Instead, I had the dull pain in the quads and hamstrings that a runner should expect to get after running over long distances, as opposed to the sharp pain in the knee. In short, these shoes are the real deal for me. Now, I never have gotten properly fitted for a good running shoe so I can''t say if that was the problem with my Asics. However I slapped these shoes on, and it all went away. Now I actually enjoy running, and enjoy not having the sharp pains that usually went along with my longer distance runs. Better yet, they were super affordable, and they are very lightweight. So don''t expect to be ''walking on springs'' like the ads say, but do expect these shoes to absorb the impact to allow you to run longer, faster and more comfortably.

For some context I don''t run but I bought these so that I could start. So far I''ve just been wearing them for short sprints with the dogs and casually to go out. With that in mind, shoes have been great. I feel like I''m running/walking on springs. And because the shoes are so lightweight and give such great flex, I actually find myself looking forward to putting them on.

Good fit and sizing even though I have flat feet and tend to order/wear wider shoes. Love these shoes and love the look. The only things that took a while to get used to was that the red soles (the silver/black/red color) actually looked closer to a dark pink when I first got them. Now that they''ve been worn and gathered some dirt they look more like what I had envisioned.

I recieved these shoes on time and in the original Reebok shoe box. These shoes look good. The sushi green is sorta like a neon/lime green colour exactly as shown in the image. The shoe fits great. I like the SE-fly much more than the zigs. These have the zig nano soles in comparison to the bigger zig soles. They are very comfortable. I have heard quite a few " nice shoes" compliments since purchasing these shoes. Definately worth purchasing. I got them at a great deal as well when they were part of an amazon deal. I think I paid around $69.99 for them. They are great for wearing to the gym.

Fitnus Chart -Chest Workout 23"x35"

Fitnus Chart -Chest Workout 23''x35''I bought these (this) poster to add to our home gym for referance (and to settle arguments about what muscle is what etc.) I am very pleased with the quality & illustrations. I put them in plastic frames, even thought they''re laminated, and they fit well & were easier to mount on the wall. I recomend this series of posters.

Cap Barbell Deluxe Foam Exercise Mat (72-Inchx24-Inchx1.5-Inch)

Cap Barbell Deluxe Foam Exercise MatI bought this folding workout pad so I can do my stretches on the ground because my back has had many surgeries and it needs some good padding for support. From the moment I took it out of the box I knew I purchased a good exercise mat because I have had a long experience with them when I use to workout at the public gyms. This one I would say is easily better then most gym mats because the padding is thicker and the cover of the mat is durable. I highly recommend this product to any person looking to add a mat for their house or buying bulk for gyms and schools.

This is sure to last decades. It doesn''t take up too much space so it''s easy to store. Its padding is very supportive so one can use it on a hard floor with no pain. Don''t confuse the other Cap folding mat that isn''t labeled "deluxe" with this one.

I was wary when looking at this mat because there was only one review, but I did purchase it for my home gym and I can say that it has worked out very well for me. I weight 165 pounds and do not squish all the way down through this may like some other cheaper soft ones, but it is not so stiff that it would be uncomfortable. Also, the length is great and it supports most of my body except my feet (if my head is on the mat). I do mostly core work on here, and it does not slide around and seems to be pretty durable fabric. So I highly recommend.

I got them today and back they go today! This item size chart is totally wrong base on measurements given!! I just got 2 pairs that I bought a few days back and I bought two since I am on a diet and I want to have an extra pair for after I loose the weight. Neither one fit. I am going to return them today. They will have a lot of returns if they don''t change those charts. I hope they are not measuring cows instead of women to take the measurements. What a waste of your clients time. Back you go!
