Physique 57 is one of the most intense workouts I''ve done, and I love it. I''ve done BodyCombat, Chalene extreme, Zumba, Brazil butt lift, jogging, strength training, yoga, you name it. Physique 57 looks pretty simple and easy, but it really gives you a great workout and is a lot of fun at the same time. I usually alternate it with my other workouts so that I don''t get bored doing the same thing every day. If you want a challenging workout that''s different than just cardio of strength training alone, I highly recommend this!

I got these DVDs as a Christmas gift to myself and so worth it. I''ve been doing the 30 min DVDs before work on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (before my shower because I sweat!), weight training Tuesdays and Thursdays, outdoor activities on weekends such as hiking,swimming, skiing,etc. I started Physique 57 Jan 14 and so far lost 8 lbs and 2 inches off my waist (I''m not watching calories right now, figure I got few more months before swimsuit season:-) Tanya and Shelly are very motivating instructors and keep you moving pushing you on to the very end. Only wish I could participate in a live class but this is the next best thing, may want to trade out ball that came with it for heavier duty one.

I work out six times a week, alternating between weights, cardio, and flexibility and toning. After becoming bored with my flexibility/toning routine, I took a chance on Physique 57 and I''m so glad I did. The routines range from an hour-long, comprehensive routine to shorter, focused routines that break the workouts into selective blocks when you''re crunched for time. The moves are innovative, challenging and fun. The instructors narrate effectively and the timing and cuing are excellent. These workouts are not for the faint of heart, though modifications are offered throughout for beginners or those who want to take it easier. I own, and use, a lot of workout DVDs as I live in the high Arctic where the weather is usually inclement and exercise options are lacking; Physique 57 is definitely worth it.
