After a warmup, there is a step routine for about 60 minutes and that is followed by aerobic/toning interval training (using a stability ball). The choreography is not too challenging (although if you already have two left feet you''ll be in trouble) and the pace is fast. I find that this is really geared for advanced exercisers and while I''m reasonably fit, it is still a challenge to get through all in one go for the first couple of times.
Sharon is friendly and motivating and this workout is fun. I really enjoy it and have done it a couple of times and feel good afterwards. I think you''ll like it a lot if you are a step fan and if you are fit. You will burn calories for sure and have fun doing it. I highly recommend this.Sharon''s workout DVD is one of the best I have ever done. Buyers should be aware that it is challenging and not geared for beginners. However for intermediate and advanced steppers, it is a well rounded workout with fast paced, innovative step routines. The DVD is very well organized and there are many options for mixing and matching the many components. There are 3 excellent step routines, plus warm up and cool down sections, as well as a ball work out, and abdominal/stretching section. If you want to challenge your body and mind and have fun, give Sharon a try.

In my opinion all Sharon Twombly workouts are awesome. This workout is very similar to Gay Gasper''s All Out Infused Step. Terrific all hit music which is just great motivation, for me anyway. Sharon is one of the best: perfect cuer, friendly, pleasant and knowledgeable. Her choreography is always interesting, challenging but fun and doable. This DVD has basically 3 main workouts: step cardio with ball and abdominals. In addition, there are several premixes. The intensity is advanced, choreography intermediate to advanced, but not complicated or frustrating thanks to her perfect cueing. She is definitely a pro! Excellent DVD!Read Best Reviews of CIA 2804: Athletic Step Jam (2008) Here
When I first did this workout I was not fond of itI was very bored and it did not seem to be tough...but by the second and third time I found myself enjoying the last half of the cardio. It''s the first half I tend to make myself get through without falling asleep. She does repeat the combos too much but I am definately sweaty by the end of the cardio. I only did the ball segment once and it was not my cup of tea. The ab section is pretty good. The cardio will take a few times to get down, but it''s not too hard to follow. I would say this is a steady state cardio workoutand does work the legs quite a bit.
