Cathe Friedrich''s High Step Training DVD

Cathe Friedrich''s High Step Training DVDBeginners do not try this at home. This workout is vintage Cathe: Heart-stopping cardio, and tough weight work, topped by Cathe''s friendly demeanor and excellent cuing. This dvd utilizes the High Step, so this workout is perfect for exercisers that lack a lot of space. You will need a loaded barbell, and a medium/heavy and light set of dumbbells (Cathe uses 5 and 10 lbs).

The workout is an hour long, but you will be so busy, time will fly by. There are five cycles, each containing cardio and weights.

Cycle one:

Cardio followed by Legs and Triceps

Cycle two:

Cardio followed by Legs and Shoulders

Cycle three:

Cardio followed by Legs and Biceps

Cycle four:

Cardio followed by Legs and Back

Cycle five:

Cardio followed by Legs and Chest

Finally, you enjoy a well-deserved stretch.

The legwork consists mostly of Leg Presses (followers of the Firm workouts will be familiar with these) mixed in with another leg exercise. For example, in cycle one, leg presses are followed by barbell squats; in cycle two leg presses are followed by plie squats.

Modifications are shown for some exercises, and you can always adjust your step height and/or weights.

This dvd contains premixes (cardio only, strength only, cardio and upper body, cardio and lower body, etc.) for those who are short on time or want to focus on a particular body part.

I recommend this dvd for someone who is familiar with weight training, and with Cathe''s cardio workouts.

I have been working out 5 days a week (about an hour) for 4 years now. I''ve done the "Crunch", "kathy Smith" and "buns of steel" various workout tapes. They''re not a challenge for me anymore. So I took the plunge and bought this video.

Cathe is an incredible trainer. This is a perfect full body workout. It was super easy to follow and the moves are challenging but easy to do. You''re sure to sweat during this workout.

This workout is perfect for those that have mastered "crunch", Kathy Smith" or anything similar. TRUST ME! If you need a challenge, this is it.

I''ve worked out with Cathe for about 6 months now, and I have to say, this is one of my favorite workouts. It combines cardio with upper and lower body in a 60 minute circuit workout.

The cardio bursts are short but intenseexpect to jump, do Power 15''s, fast feet shuffles, spike lunges, etc. Lower body work well, let''s just say, I hope you like to do leg presssince you''ll be doing it A LOT. There are a total of 6 sets of leg press on each leg. Also, Cathe inserts some static lunges and squats, among other moves. She does hover squats with pulses of 16 over the high stepyour quads will be feeling the burn, there! Arm work includes typical weighted and non-weight work, such as tricep dips off the high step, push ups, bicep curls, overhead extension, etc.

Overall, if you''re looking for a challenge and a new circuit workout to shock your muscles, this is the workout for you. Beginners, bewareyou can modify certain exercises (I use dumbbells instead of a barbell) but this is more for the intermediate or advanced exerciser.

I used to be an avid "Firm" exerciser. nothing could beat those videos...until I met Cathe!! She is unbeleivable! I am not into step aerobics. I just can''t do all that fancy footwork. I love all of Cathe''s dvd''s that emphasize muscle conditioning. This workout rocks! I don''t have her high step, I use the fanny lifter from the firm. This dvd gets your heart rate soaring! I mainly use the premix section on my leg day. I prefer to do upper body on the days that I go for a run. This dvd I use on leg days and it combines lower body muscle building with cardio. I can hardly catch my breath! Worth every penny! If you don''t have a barbell you can just use dumbells.

What can I say about Cathe''s DVD? Except it is a wonderful workout like all the others! She really gives you a great workout for the money! This one has Cardio and strength mixed in. The Cardio portion will get your heart rate up and the moves aren''t too fancy. She does work your legs ALOT in this one! I was expecting to be sore this morning..but I did some nice yoga afterward... my biceps are sore though! I would strongly recomend this DVD. If you are a beginner do use lighter weights though! Like all the others I really enjoy her DVDs!

Lifecore R88 Rowing Machine

Lifecore R88 Rowing MachineBackground: I have severe arthritis in my knee and can no longer perform exercises that impact the joint (even lengthy walks) without experiencing considerable pain. After using Lifecore Fitness'' excellent 900 RB recumbent bike for the past 8 months, for a low impact good cardio workout, I recently purchased the company''s R88 rower to exercise upper body muscles and provide an alternative to the bike. The rower was easy to assemble and took approximately 1/2 hour. The instructions are clearly written and well illustrated.

Using the Rower: This machine is very easy to use. The first two days I limited my moderately paced workouts to 20 minutes on resistance setting #2. (Note: Most product descriptions -including Amazon''s -state that the R88 has 8 resistance settings but this model only has 6 resistance settings, which is clearly specified on the shipping box and manual.) After two days I felt a pleasant soreness throughout my body (legs, abdomen, arms, chest, shoulders, back, and butt), which told me that this machine really delivers. Using this machine provides a more intense cardio workout than the recumbent bike.

Pros: The R88 rower is simple, solid, compact, very well constructed, easy to operate, and smooth. I''d compare the build quality and operation to that of driving a base model Mercedes Benz with a manual transmission. The rower''s resistance settings (changed easily by turning a dial) will accomodate almost everybody''s fitness level. The seat bottom is firmer than that of the RB 900 bike, which is too soft. The unit folds up and can be rolled into a relatively small storage space.

Cons: These are minor but worth mentioning. First, the monitor is not as well illuminated as shown by the company''s advertising pictures. To clearly see all display info, a light (overhead or behind your shoulder) is recommended during workouts. Second, when folded for storage, the machine''s wheels do not roll very easily on carpet. Third, while the flywheel fan provides a welcome breeze and cooling effect, the fan is pretty noisy especially under hard rowing.

Conclusion: Investing $699 for this quality rowing machine was a no brainer. The R88 is fun to use and provides an outstanding, impact free, total body workout. My arthritic knee is painfree afterwards. The extra features offered by the R99 rower($200 more)seem like a waste of money. NOTE: I will update my review of Lifecore Fitness'' R88 Rowing Machine in a few months. G Miller -Phx. AZ

January 2012 Update: Sorry for taking so long to update my review of this rower. I am still very satisfied with the R88 machine and it continues to function flawlessly. Since I purchased the rower, I have tried out other machines both more and less expensive. For the money, especially at the new lower price, I can''t see how this one can be beat. The only additional con that I can add is that the monitor goes through alkaline batteries much faster than I would like.

Pros, really get a good heart pumping workout. It is small and stores very well.

Cons, it is noisy. I don''t notice it as bad when I am using it, but when someone else is using it in our house it is loud. I do not like the manual tension dial, wished it was automatic.

Over all it is a good machine, just not sure about the price. Wished it had been a little cheaper.

This is a decent rower. If it cost $400, it wouldn''t be an issue. However, the seat is high, relative to the foot pedals, so you end up working your arms and back much more then legs. I was used to a Concept2 at the gym and did not feel like this was in the same league. I returned it and bought a Concept2 for $200 more and couldn''t be happier. There is a reason Concept2 owns the space.

The R88 is the best choice for rowers under $1,000. The combination of air and magnetic resistance is a great design. There are six resistance selections on the R88, not eight as described. The first and lowest selection is air resistance only, and the air coming through the vent will keep you cool. The display could be updated as the background screen is a dull gray. Initially, my rower wasn''t counting the strokes or distance (you can set it to count the strokes down from a set number or count up). I called Lifecore tech support and they said the sensors (there are two) near the fan wheel probably got loose during shipping. They suggest I pop the outer shell loose to check the sensor, and I did. The wires and sensor seemed secure but whatever I did made it work. The only critique I have is about the way the foot pads are mounted; I wished the foot pads would be almost level with the frame instead of lower. You are more in a sitting position than a laying position when in the "recovery" position or the stretched-out position. I guess the angle simulates the position in a real row boat. Also, I had to put some thread lock on the acorn nuts that hold the plastic foot pads on the metal rod they pivot on, as the right side kept getting loose from the pivoting of the foot pad. I think a C-clip would work better. The frame and seat (firmly cushioned) are nice and wide and will support any size body. The handle is permanently fixed to the flat strap that spins the fan; I wish there were optional accessory handles that allow a wide grip or a narrow vertical grip handle to work different back muscle groups. Overall, I am glad I purchased this rower because it is nice and solid and will add variety to your workout. I like to mix this in between running and cycling; diversity in a fitness program is very important, and the R88 provides that element.

Background:

I live in the north of Saskatchewan. There are no gyms here, and very little to do in town to keep fit. My job requires me to walk 10 ft to my car everyday, and the rest of my working day requires a lot of sitting down and very little physical activity. There''s not much healthy eating here, either. Fresh fruits and vegetables are extortionate, so I live off a lot of junk food. I''ve been living here for a year, and I''ve put on about 10kg and to my horror am developing quite the gut (lovely, I know). I''m not keen on running, and I tend to develop shin-splints quite easily. The roads around here are unmade and prone to twisted ankles. Lots of dangerous wildlife (and drivers) around too. So yes, I really need an indoor activity to keep me fit. I tried rollerblading around my basement, but it got tedious after a few dizzy laps. Plus it''s dark and cold down there, and very dusty. I tried doing ''runs'' up and down my stairs, but that too got boring (and quickly tiring too, for my poor untrained, unfit knees!). I tried P90X (the Plyometrics, I thought, would be a great cardio work-out, with very little equipment necessary), but I just didn''t have the discipline to do it day in day out. So fatter and unfitter I got.

And then I bought this rower...

I didn''t expect much of it, to be honest. I had budgeted to spend $1,000 on a piece of cardio equipment for my house, and in the end spent just $495 on this rower (including P&P from California to northern SK!) on eBay. Bargain. But, I worried it would show for the ''cheapness'' and not be too impressive. Oh, how I was wrong!

The rower is heavy (not too heavy; I still managed to carry it in to my truck and then on in to my house on my own), and feels very sturdy. I was a little miffed at first when I thought I was missing the nuts/bolts/washers, but then realized they were already screwed in to the pieces and I just had to unscrew them and attach the parts together. At first I thought this was a set-back, but I realized it''s actually a bonus, cos then I knew exactly where each bolt etc went, instead of having to work it out. Saved a few seconds/minutes perhaps on assembly time..!

I got the entire rower assembled in a little over half an hour. Not bad.

The rower doesn''t take up much space on my floor at all, and it''s easily rolled in to a corner when not in use, due to the two ''stabilizer'' wheels on the end. The seat glides smoothly, and there is an impressive amount of tension in the pulling mechanism. It''s wonderful actually; the main reason I bought a rower was because I wanted to get some calorie-burning heart-healthy cardio exercise whilst also getting some resistance training for my arms. This is perfect.

What I also like is the built-in fan that actually works rather well, and definitely helps keep me cool. I''ve positioned the rower beside a window for additional cooling effect.

Haven''t really tried the computer out yet (I just like to aimlessly row while I watch tv) but it looks decent so far and appears to meet my needs (measures time and distance etc).

I''m 175cm tall, weigh about 80kg (ouch! was 68kg a year ago..!), and the rower is perfect for my height and weight. It doesn''t wobble or tip at all, even when I have the resistance on full and am really exerting myself. Like I say, it appears to be very sturdy and it''s great construction. I can see this rower lasting a number of years, and I''m really excited to start seeing some results as I''m sure this equipment will help get me well on my way to being trim and fit again! (I''m visiting friends and family in a couple of months, so hopefully the results will come quick!)

If my experience with this rower changes, I will post another review. But for the time-being I would rate this rower with 5/5 stars, and would wholeheartedly recommend it. I see no fault with it yet, and it by far exceeds all my expectations. $495 well spent...!!

MOTOACTV 16 GB GPS Fitness Tracker and Music Player

MOTOACTV 16 GB GPS Fitness Tracker and Music Player
  • Precisely track your running and biking outside and in the gym; wireless upload of your workout data to MOTOACTV.com.
  • MOTOACTV 16GB smart music player learns what songs motivate you.
  • Set goals and start racing against them; audio coach gives you updates and keeps you going.
  • MOTOACTV is sweatproof, rain resistant, scratch resistant with intuitive controls. Touchscreen display adjusts to sunlight.
  • Included in the Motorola Retail Packaging: MOTOACTV 16GB, Motorola SF200 Sports Headphones, MOTOACTV Clip, Wall Charger with Data Cable, Quick Start Guide.

I purchased an 8GB MOTOACTV the day it was released from a local "big box" chain, and my first impressions are that Motorola has created a device with great potential, but one that needs work to smooth out a few rough edges. First, a bit about why this was purchased...

I''m a long-time casual runner who is gearing up for longer races (half marathons) next year. While I usually love to run in silence, my longer training runs are getting a bit monotonous, so I was on the hunt for an MP3 player that could add some spice to my workouts. I''ve been using different GPS watches over the years, primarily Garmins (305, 405) and, more recently, the Nike+ Sportswatch, and the thought of having both an MP3 player AND a GPS unit rolled into one seemed like a masterstroke. When I read about the MOTOACTV in October, I thought "voila!" the perfect fitness accessory. And on paper, it seems perfect. Built-in Bluetooth and WiFi capabilities. Heart-rate monitoring through wireless headphones. Use of ANT+ technology. What''s not to love?

Well, a couple of major things come to mind after having used the unit for a few days now. First, is my fear that the MOTOACTV isn''t built for real-world use. Motorola claims this device is water-resistant, but the USB port on the left side of the unit is protected by a flimsy port cover that doesn''t stay in place during runs, leaving a gaping hole for sweat and rain to enter. I suspect we''ll see lots of these devices needing repairs for water/sweat damage. Secondly, and even more damning, is battery life. I''ve taken this device on three hour-long runs now, each time fully-charged. I''ve returned home with the unit down to less than 25% power level. This was using the MP3 features, Bluetooth on to wireless headsets, and GPS tracking. Given this rate of battery burn, I doubt the device would last more than 1:30-2:00 which, in the world of marathon-training (and even half-marathons), just isn''t enough. This is a serious issue which Motorola may be able to address with software updates but, for now, it''s a deal-breaker.

There''s great potential here. The software/OS is easy to use and powerful. I love the display and overall build of the device (USB port not withstanding). And the MOTOACTV website seems solid for a 1st Gen effort. If Motorola can address my two concerns better water resistance and much better battery life they''ll have a winner. For now, though, I''d take a wait-and-see approach: wait for updates and see if things improve.

My two cents...

I got the 16GB model. Motorola released a firmware update a few days ago that greatly increased the battery life. As far as I''m concerned, it could still be a little bit better, but overall, they have listened to the complaints and for the most part, fixed the problem. I was worried about getting this unit after reading the reviews on the net. I can happily say that I am very satisfied with the product, with a couple small exceptions.

I use this strictly for running so my review can only speak to that functionality. Up until I got this, I ran with my Iphone strapped to my upper arm. It was a bulky solution, but it had everything I needed nice, robust, running app, all my music, Bluetooth, maps, GPS, 3G data connection, and of course, it''s a phone, so ability to take/make calls (which worked nicely with stereo bluetooth headphones). So did I lose some functionality by moving to this MOTOACTV? Well, yes, some. No 3G data, so music-wise I get what I have loaded on the unit, or whatever is on FM radio I used Pandora or Rhapsody sometimes on my iphone, but not often. And I''ve lost the ability to use a phone, in case of emergency. Even if I had a Moto Droid, I''m not going to double-up on the crap I''m running with, I would just stick with the phone as it does everything the MOTOACTV does. My Iphone had to be within 2 feet of my Bluetooth headphones for it to never cut out. Not the case with the MOTOACTV I got the wrist strap to run with it. And with the unit down on my wrist and my arms flailing about, never was there a hint of cut-out. Speaking of, for the price of this unit, the wrist strap and armband should have been included instead of each being an extra 30 bucks. I do understand Motorola''s thinking behind selling accessories separately knowing that likely different users will likely choose one of the many accessories available to fit their needs. But 30 bucks each is too much they are worth 10 bucks each at most. The unit does come with a clip that will suffice for most uses if you don''t want to spring the extra cash for any accessories. All in all, I don''t miss running with my iphone at all. I like the small, light form factor, the convenience, the sound quality, and the overall functionality. And I have not tested it with any sensors or monitors it can use, which I''m sure would only add positive functionality to it. Yes it is a bit bigger than an ipod nano, but WAY smaller than an iphone or ipod touch. Read the Pros and Cons for more...

PROS:

-Nice bright screen

-Responsive touchscreen (I disagree completely with the people who say the touchscreen has a hard time interpreting touch vs. slide).

-Easy to use and learn interface

-Maps built right into the watch (but also could be seen as a con, read on...)

-Bluetooth range and quality is great

-Wi-Fi Sync of workout data is a fantastic feature (read cons for a gripe about Wi-Fi networks though).

Much improved battery life with firmware update

Sweat-proof and water resistant (Smartphones, are not, as you know).

-MOTOACTV.com website has some nice features for people with fitness goals.

-One-button music functionality one button on the unit for play/pause/forward/back nice to not have to even look at the unit for these functions. Great for if you''re using wired headphones if using BT headphones, all that functionality should also be available on those.

CONS:

-Very expensive

-Phone Notification functionality only works with one Motorola phone since the device itself is Android, it should at LEAST work with all Android phones

-Important accessories are not included and are overpriced

-Maps while it''s listed as a Pro above that maps are built-in, it does use 1.5 gb of space couple that with the fact that you''re not really getting 8 or 16 gb of space, more like 85% of that, you have to take all that into consideration when thinking about how much music you want to fit on your unit.

-WiFi functionality is extremely basic as far as networks that it can connect to it can not connect to hidden SSID''s, or to Wi-Fi networks that require a user/password sign-in. My home wireless has a hidden SSID, and my work wireless requires a sign-in so MOTOACTV won''t connect to either (I had to unhide my SSID to test the Wi-Fi Sync functionality). So I have to sync over USB.

-Syncing one session over Wi-Fi takes a long time (5 minutes or more).

-Included headphones are cheap-sounding (but seem sweatproof).

I have exhausted all efforts to obtain proper support from Moto on this product. I have basically thrown it in the garbage. The final response was that the unit has been tampered with and had water damage. Be aware this unit comes with an exposed jack for headphones with NO protection. Even though i ordered separately the plug immediately upon buying it and used it, this unit still had moisture damage per Motorola.

I never ran with this unit in the rain and only cleaned it off as ANYONE would do with a sweaty dirty device. wet cloth and then dried.

Therefore if you sweat, don''t run in the rain, but do clean your devices with a wet rag or towel, you will end up with a product that stops working.

Motorola support is absolutely horrible. The return process did not even clearly state why the unit failed but in fact showed a Cell Phone error reference. I had to escalate the return of the device to me to second level support who after five days, called me back, left a message, and said the unit was damaged by me and it was my fault. They would do nothing else.

I have used Suunto, Polar, Garmin, and now Moto. I will NEVER purchase a Moto fitness product again. I wasted nearly 300 USD in the unit and accessories for what was clearly a poorly designed product. Motorola has no business being in this fitness business. Stick with your Garmins and Polar and Suunto devices and carry a mp3 player. The Motoactv is garbage. go to the Moto forums and you will see similar complaints by others of this same problem. the rest of it is just gimmicky software for music and fitness.

I bought it because the concept is a GREAT one by combining both music and fitness in one device and incorporating social networking.

BTW I will not even begin to go into all of the webportal issues, the workout bugs, battery life issues generally, and overall technically buggy nature of the device. If you are considering the device you should stop now, soley because the device WILL cease to function with normal everyday use and it will be considered YOUR fault. Bugs in software are tolerable so long as the company is actively releasing firmware to correct.

UPDATE 8/25/2012, upon finishing my first ever 10 mile run, with the Motoactv.

The gist: The Motoactv (MA) device is an amazing piece of hardware that has transformed me from an occasional runner to a running fanatic. The Motoactv web portal is basically useless when it does work, which is pretty rare these days.

(I only use the Motoactv for running, and was not an avid runner prior to using it, and never used any electronics or software while running other than a 2nd gen ipod nano)

Long version:

Prior to buying the MA, I used to go running two to four times a week for a maximum of 30 minutes, and no method for tracking distance, time, or performance improvements, other than how I felt.

Since getting the device about three months ago I have faithfully gone running four days a week, increased my max distance from 2.5 miles to 10, and shaved a full minute off my mile time. I ran a 10k and placed fourth in my age group. I''ve subscribed to running blogs and magazines, and for the first time in my life researched a pair of running shoes rather than just going out and buying the cheapest pair I could stand to buy.

Here''s some highlights and features:

1. Race yourself: I run the same three mile course two or three times a week, and the "race yourself" feature helps me to pace myself throughout the course so that I can always shave a few seconds off my time.

2. Music: I''m pretty anal about my running playlists so I don''t use the MAs "smart" features, but one thing that is neat is that your average step rate is tracked, so you can compare it to the BPM of the songs in your playlist. I use this to create a playlist that helps me achieve the pace I''m looking for. (Search for Mixmeister BPM analyzer for a pretty reliable program to fill in the BPM information of your music.)

3. Coaching: the MA will tell you audibly when you''re 50% and 85% done with a planned course. There are a whole lot of other options too for what it can tell you. Speed, pace, lap time, average pace, etc.

4. Setting targets: You can set time and distance targets for runs (or both at the same time if you want to keep a certain pace) and the device keeps you updated on your progress. If I wanted to run a certain distance before, I either had to run in a circle (boring) or spend a while on Google earth measuring a course and make sure I didn''t make any wrong turns. With the ability to set targets, I just put in my target distance and start running. Once I''m halfway done I turn around and head back, usually taking a different route. Also great because you can go for a run to figure out a new course and still achieve your goal.

5. Form factor: I sweat a lot and have had no problems. Ran through rain some too, and no problems. However I''ve heard it''s very important to keep the headphone jack plugged (it comes with a small rubber plug) if you''re not using headphones. Touchscreen is pretty simple to navigate while you''re running. There are a lot of buttons on the outside, but once you get comfortable you realize they''re all pretty useful.

Now, on to the portal.

At least 30% of the time I can''t log in due to some error. At least 30% of the time when I am logged in, it''s horribly slow, there''s some bug, or it stops working. Despite the fact that these problems have been going on for months, there''s no status landing page for Motorola to tell you "hey we know there''s a problem, we''ll be back in a few hours."

Features which are good:

1. After each run, you can see your route on a map and chart statistics such as pace, steps per minute, and elevation. You can mouse over the chart to see where each point is on the route. You can also see which songs you were listening to at each point.

Features which aren''t there:

1. Charting performance across runs.

2. Analyzing multiple runs to see how time of day, weather, elevation, etc, affect your performance.

3. Keeping track of how many miles you''ve put on your shoes.

4. Showing all runs on one map.

5. Search! You can journal about runs, but you can''t search what''s in the journal!

There is an option to export data, which I''m planning to start using. There are lots of websites which would do the features that the MA portal is lacking I''m just trying to figure out which one I want to use. Of course, if they ever do get the portal to be useful, all of my data would still be there, so I could always switch back.

Personally, I am very pleased with my purchase. Just don''t buy it if you think the website is the most enticing feature.

UPDATE there are two big issues everyone on the forum is talking about.

1 warranty doesn''t cover water damage, and a lot of people are experiencing water damage. Personally, I am an extreme sweater. When I take my MA off the wristbrand is slick with sweat. But I''ve had no problems. Personally, I think there must be some QA issues in the sealing process meaning that when it works right, it works great, but sometimes it doesn''t work at all.

2 the portal is still broken. That''s all I can say about that. Kind of embarrassing if you''re Motorola.

I got the MotoACTV 16GB to help get myself into shape. I love the online Portal service, since it lets me track all my progress as well as plan my workouts. I normally just do a running workout at the gym while listening to music and battery lasts me around 2-3 days before I need to recharge it. On top of that, the device itself looks pretty cool and I''ve even received a few compliments from my coworkers on my "nice watch". It is also nice that I can leave my phone in my bag while at the gym and still get notifications of text messages and phone calls, it''s one less thing I need to keep track of while working out. All in all, I''m loving the device, and would definitely recommend it for people trying to get in shape or who just like working out.

The Glo Bag - The Ultimate Gym Locker Organizer Backpack: Solid Black

The Glo Bag - The Ultimate Gym Locker Organizer Backpack: Solid BlackFirst, full disclosure... I previously bought, returned, and reviewed the Ogio bag--which could not hold my clothes or my size 12 sneakers. Jennifer from the Glo Bag contacted me and asked if I would try theirs and review it. I''ve been using it for about 10 days, a half dozen trips or more to the gym. Here''s what I''ve found...

*My size 12''s fit fine.

*The ventilation in the shoe compartment seems to keep away that ''gym bag smell.''

*I was concerned the bag would not hold my clothes. I''m over 6'' and go 225 lbs. Not to worry, everything fits with room to spare.

*It is extremely handy to have everything at eye level in my locker--I didn''t realize I wanted/needed this until I had it. Because it''s easy to hang the bag, I do so, and lock the locker up when in the shower, sauna etc. Makes stealing my stuff much harder. I avoided trying to stuff other gym bags into the locker because they just didn''t fit in well.

*There are any number of mesh and slash pockets to put stuff in.

*It''s very handy to have the backpack design--I just sling it over one shoulder and take off.

*It seems well made, durable ballistic material, good zippers etc.

*I find the mesh pocket on one of the backpack straps very handy for my gym card--guess it''s supposed to be used for a cell phone.

*The upper compartment holds a full length pair of sweat-pants, a workout shirt, underwear, spare socks, and I could stuff a towel in there if my gym didn''t supply them.

*There are a number of hanging loops so you can likely hang it in whatever configuration your gym uses.

*There''s a separate cosmetics kit. I don''t have a lot of use for gym cosmetics, so I stuff an extra water bottle and my hairbrush in there.

*There''s a black mesh pocket hanging in the upper compartment handy for a wallet, and hard to see if you''re not really looking to steal stuff.

Most excellent products--and this is one--also could use a few tweaks. Here are things I would like to see...

*Attention to equipment other than cosmetics. I have sort of struggled where to put my ipod, my full-size headphones, my chest strap and wrist monitor etc. I''d rather see an ''equipment bag'' in the middle compartment than a cosmetic case. Maybe this could be a customer selected option.

*There are slash pockets on the front and back of the bag. There''s a small one in front and a large one in back. I''d like them reversed. If the large one were in front I could stick my headphones in there and hide my wallet in the back one.

*I''d like two places to hold water bottles/travel coffee mugs. Truth be told I am often carrying both into the gym.

In summary, this has become ''my gym bag'' and I am finding it flexible, useful, and generally very well thought-out. Can I give it 4 1/2 stars?

At first I thought this bag was great. And it is in theory. It keeps my things organized so I can go to the gym before work and get ready at the gym. It also makes it easy when I go after work.

There are a few things that really need to be improved. First of all, the cell phone pouch on the backpack straps does not fit an iPhone, which is a very popular phone, and it probably doesn''t fit many of the other smart phones out there either. It''d also be nice if the larger of the outside pockets was in a location that is easier to get to when the bag is hanging in the locker.

Now, here''s the BIGGEST thing, and why I no longer used my very expensive gym bag. The shoe compartment needs to be more separated and more vented. At first I loved the bag, but then after using it for a little while, I noticed that my clothes didn''t stay fresh like I had hoped they would with the separate compartments. Really, they were downright stinky from sitting in my hot car with my gym shoes while I was at work. All that separates your shoes from the rest of your stuff is a removable insert that doesn''t even close off that compartment all the way. If they were to fix this, it would be much better.

I ended up buying just a generic gym bag with a separate shoe compartment. Although it doesn''t hang nicely in the locker like the GLO bag, at least it will keep my clothes from interacting with my shoes.

this is the best bag i have ever used. i did a review on this for positivelycelebrity.com and was absolutely blown away by the versatility of the Glo Bag. it holds it all, from shoes (ALL THE WAY UP TO A MEN''S 14, which the OGIO locker bag can''t hold) to clothes and a lot more. i couldn''t recommend this bag any more for everything from yoga, to basketball to an overnight trip (it can fit in the overhead compartment!).

great job Jennifer and Kendra!

I''ve been through several gym bags looking for one to keep me organized, and from having to constantly take my bag out of my locker to fish for things. If you are anything like me, as soon as you go to your gym locker, so do the people on either side of you it''s so much easier to be able to get in and out of your locker quickly because everything has a place in the bag! This bag is PERFECT and worth every penny. I also love that it''s a backpack, and the mesh phone pocket on the strap is perfect for holding my gym membership card. The wet bag is great for tossing your dirty clothes in, and I love that there are vents for my tennis & shower shoes in the bottom compartment. The toiletry bag is run of the mill but it fits perfectly in the bag, so I use it. Overall, it''s the best gym bag I''ve found I wish I had discovered it sooner!

I recieved my glo bag as a Christmas gift this past Decemember (2010) and I was extremely happy with it. The fact that everythign is organized and seperated makes it very helpful, and being able to hang the bag on a hook in the locker makes getting to everying that much easier, especially because I never know whether I am going to get a large or small locker when I hit up the gym. The customer service from the company is beyond great! I had a couple issues with the bag, and after sending an email I was sent a brand new bag with new improvements (the improvements were the defect in the previous bag) Now I love using my bag even more than ever. I get asked a lot where I got my bag from and I tell them all. I have liked it so much that I am going to purchase these as Christmas gifts this year!

ProForm 280 CSX Upright Bike

ProForm 280 CSX Upright BikeProduct was very easy to assemble. Easy to use. The back display is hard to see and when the batteries go down, it''s impossible. I don''t like that I have to buy batteries for the bike to display, figured it plugged in. Seat is comfy, pedals are smooth and it is great for those who have knee problems! I would recommend!

Nice features and good quality. However, it is quite uncomfortable. It doesn''t provide an enjoyable workout experience due to uncomfortable seat and insufficient clearance between seat and console. Could use a redesign.

Pedals smoothly, electronics work well for changing intensity, fan is a nice plus, upright is much more comfortable than a regular exercise bike. Things that could have been better: Ipod system didn''t work correctly (it shorts out and sounds like its coming from a barrel), handlebars adjusting front to back would have been helpful, seat is not extremely comfortable I wish it came off like a regular bike and I could have put on a nicer one.

I bought this bike after reading all of the reviews and thought the price was really good for the quality of what it sounded like the bike was.

I was not disappointed when I received the bike. I put it together by myself (They recommend two people but it''s not impossible to do alone) and everything works great. I''ve probably only used it for about three hours as I received it yesterday but everything is working perfectly so far. The wheels are really convenient so I can move it around my living room without a problem.

I am a very feminine woman and was able to assemble this bike myself. I wanted to avoid the outrages assembly charge so I just simply rolled up my sleeves and read the instructions. The instructions were very simple and the pictures clearly outlined the parts to assemble. In the beginning there was a clicking noise when pedaling but it must have been the bike adjusting itself because it left within 3 workouts. It has been a month now and the bike gives a great workout. It has pre-programmed workouts or you can just start pedalling for the manual setting. I choose the manual program and increase the resistance to give me an excellent workout. If you need to cool down during your workout the fan works well. What''s great is that I can already see changes in my legs and that''s my goal. The price was excellent at less than $300 and it doesn''t take much space. I would recommend the ProForm 280 CSX Upright Bike to all.

Medium Heavyweight 100% Brushed Cotton Uniform

Medium Heavyweight 100% Brushed Cotton Uniform White size 5I bought this uniform for my weapons class as I needed something sturdy without being restrictive. It is perfect. You''ll do a lot of sweating in it in a high-intensity workout or if there''s no A/C, but it will hold up well and it''s a good-looking uniform for traditional performance purposes.

I bought the white uniform for my son who wanted a heavier uniform. the fit was good and he loves that it ''snaps'' when he throws a punch! I recieved it in a timely manner and was pleased that it was exactly what it said it was quality!

Icebreaker Women''s Tempest Zip

Icebreaker Women''s Tempest ZipLike most IB things this is a cosy and warm piece with a touch of style. It''s heavyweight (320), but I wouldn''t change it for anything else, because of the fit, versatility, comfort and great design. It dries little longer that you could wish it did, but since you don''t have to wash it so often (no stink), it''s a great piece to enjoy at home and take everywhere you''re going at anytime (the deep zip gives you extra ventilation, so even on warmer days you won''t get overheated).

Reebok Kettlebell with DVD

Reebok Kettlebell with DVD, Blue, 15-PoundI got the 10lb kettle bell. My biggest fear was throwing the darned thing into the tv while I was working out, but I found it easy to grip and hold on to, and I pointed myself away from the tv when doing really big moves. ;)

I''ve so far only completed the beginner workout, and while it''s only 16 minutes, it''s a darned crazy 16 minutes! There''s a nice warmup (including the kettlebell, so you start going right away!). Then you will do 40 seconds of engagement and 20 seconds of recovery for the duration of the workout, which is nice, because he shows you the next move during the recovery. The beginners workout seems easy, but doing full squats with chest raises for 40 seconds is nothing to sneeze at! I think I''ll keep with teh beginner workout for a week or so, maybe even doing it twice, then move up to the advanced.

The cool-down has some nice stretches, and I felt a good burn during the stretches. Plus, as an added bonus, I got to sit down! LOL

This is a very good introduction into kettle bell workouts for me, and I can see that it really is a workout!

The dvd workout is good, has an easier and a harder workout. Either workout leaves me sore every time, so I know it''s working. I have not had any problems with the kettlebell, and it''s easy to grip. I am a female, and wish I would have ordered a little bit lighter, being a beginner. But oh well, it works.

I live in Hawaii and most kettlebell distributors won''t ship here. However I did find a Amazon LLC company that would ship the Reebok. It was almost 3 times the expense but was the only game in town. I just received the promptly delivered package and now I know why it was so expensive. The quality of the product was excellent and it''s design with a metal handle allowed the product to be smaller than others with a plastic handle. I will buy this product again in another weight as my home gym evolves.

Great product. it maybe small but it definietly weighs 12lbs or more. At my kettlebell class everyone came up to me to see my small kettlebell only to be surprised by the heaviness of it and overall sturdy product.

Love it. Wish it was contour. The contour kettlebells are the best. Wish someone would make contour ones in every weight!

The kettlebell is great the video is just so-so. The one I am used to using is 40 minutes long-this one is very short. One workout for beginners and one for more advanced. Basically 2 circuits repeated twice. Don''t buy this for the DVD--just the kettlebell.

Black Mountain Products New Heavy Duty Bmp Doorway Chin Up Pull Up Bar

Black Mountain Products New Heavy Duty Bmp Doorway Chin Up Pull Up BarGot it for christmas 2010. The instructions state that it is a new 2011 model with nuts and bolts that cannot be tightened by hand. This creates a lock that makes them harder to loosen while the bar is being used. After gathering my tools, I found that these nuts and bolts were hard to turn and they started stripping!!!

I hope I dont ever have to take it apart... cause it probably wouldnt happen without needing to drill/tap the dang things out... but everything else seems good quality...

DIMENSIONS: The long tubular bar that braces against the inside-facing part of your door frame is 41 inches long (so your frame has to be a couple of inches narrower than that--and most are). The upper rectangular bar that braces against the top lip of the outside-facing part of your door frame is 18 inches long (so your frame has to be a couple of inches wider than that--and most are).

The bar is working wonderfully for me, and I''m definitely glad I went with the type that has the extra grips. I''m not using the extra braces that are meant to be screwed into the wall above the outside-facing part of the door frame. I think these are included mostly to prevent a catastrophic, lawsuit-inducing door frame collapse that isn''t likely to happen if you have a normal, sturdy frame.

One star is removed only because what others have said about the bolts being made of lower-quality metal appears to be true. I read the reviews and was prepared, so I assembled mine VERY CAREFULLY, only letting the screwdriver slip a few times. Even then I could see that a few more slips and the ends would be stripped. Just do it carefully and you''ll be fine.

I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Great product, easy to assemble and use. I would highly recommend this product for a door mount chin up bar. Previous reviews of difficulty in assembly was not seen in my experience.

Want Black Mountain Products New Heavy Duty Bmp Doorway Chin Up Pull Up Bar Discount?

I didn''t have any of the problems that other reviewers had with regards to assembly. The holes were all lined up fine and none of the nuts stripped out. I even had a door frame that the bar fit well on too.

My main complaint is that this thing flexes and bends when I hang from it. It claims it will support up to 300 lbs. I weight 225 and if I use the outer handles, the entire front of the bar bends down a couple of inches or more. I don''t trust this thing to support my weight over the long haul of the P90X workout. I friend of mine blew out his knee in college when the chin up bar he was using broke free. I think the design is sound, they just need to have it manufactured somewhere where they aren''t using cheap grade tubular steel.

I like the foldable waistband. Some Z-wear doesn''t give the rise in the front that I''d like, and the folding waistband solves that problem. These are sized small, so I would order 1, maybe 2 sizes up. I normally wear a M in cargos. I ordered a L in these, and wish I would have ordered an XL. I like more of a baggy hip-hop look though. The material is a little thicker than past cargo material. The cuffs at the bottom are to large. I normally roll them under to keep them at my knees. Otherwise the cuffs catch and pull on the pants weird when I do squats or lunges. I like the more streamlined design a little better. Not a lot of bells and whistles hanging off. There are no back pockets, and I never think that''s very flattering to my rear. They still work though, and are really cute cropped style cargos with a couple minor flaws.

This is my first Zumba pants. It''s really lovely. It looks pretty much like it appears in the picture. I purchased a size large since there was no medium size available in the black/purple. Fortunately the large size fits well. Depending on the brand (Nike, Addidas, etc), I wear anywhere between medium and large for comfort. I would definitely buy another one if they had another dark combination.

Cathe Friedrich''s The Classics Vol 1

Cathe Friedrich''s The Classics Vol 1I am an intermediate level exerciser who started my trek to fitness by mastering Cathe''s Basic Step and Body Fusion and Low Impact Step + Total Body Sculpting DVDs. While I''ve been working on my fitness level, I''ve acquired pretty much all her other DVDs, including Low Max and Low Impact Circuit. Cathe is a fabulous instructor, her cuing and choreography are bar none! The workouts on this DVD are some of Cathe''s very early work, most are from 1995-1996, so Cathe is much younger and her instruction style a little less polished (she whoops and yelps much more than she does now). However, do not take the age of these workouts to mean that they are not intense or challenging!!!!

This DVD has been quite valuable to me as I was having trouble with some of the more intricate choreography on DVDs like Rhythmic Step, and even some of the intervals on Low Max, so my progress had slowed. I popped in this DVD and many of the steps in Cathe''s latest and greatest DVDs are broken down and taught in more detail in this set of workouts!

My personal favorite of the group is Step Jam. Cathe really gets you moving around the step and makes some very difficult steps (that are repeated in her later workouts) easy to do. I can only remember once when she miscued, but the workout was taught so well, it wasn''t a problem. If you can ignore the dated sets and music, you will get a quality workout and a solid foundation on which to progress!

Reebok Women''s Easytone Pant

Reebok Women''s Easytone PantSo I have ordered so many things from Amazon, but this is the first thing I actually felt the need to leave a review for. I just received these in the mail today and they feel awesome! They are super tight (they are supposed to be for maximum results) and really make me want to work out! And that''s saying something. I also bought the shirt and toning tennis shoes. I am short (5''2) so there is a little extra at the bottom, but since the fabric is pretty stiff (not in a bad way, it''s just thick), they do not drag. I think taller people could wear these without a problem too. Overall, I would recommend these pants to anyone who really wants a good work out pant. They fit great, feel better, work muscles even when you are not working out, and they really enhance your workout! What could be better than that!

These pants are great and comfy!! While I''m a size 2/3 and workout 5 days a week, I still get cellulite in my butt and legs. I have had the hardest time finding pants that will hide it. I FINALLY found them!! I love the pockets on the back as well. :)

Buy Reebok Women''s Easytone Pant Now

I''m 5''2" and 140 lbs. I bought the medium and they fit great. Some reviews state too long but I like the length with my Brooks running shoes and just cuff them once. I bought them as I was looking for a compression running pant. However, all I found was compression tights and compression capris. As I have a little bit of a saddlebag bulge, I wasn''t excited about pegged compression pants. These are perfect compromise. My trainer of a year that I see twice a week and has never complemented me on my legs actually complemented me told me my legs looked skinny. I normally wear great Nike petite workout pants or very comfortable Champion pants from Target. These are my favorite now and I will be buying another pair. Well worth the investment...and since they have backpockets, would be totally cute to run around on the weekends for errands or such.

Read Best Reviews of Reebok Women''s Easytone Pant Here

I wore these pants for biking this morning and was pleasantly surprised. They are flattering, and even though they fit tightly, they didn''t make me look bulgy. The big question in my mind was whether they would make a difference in my workout, and I''m delighted to say they did. The toning bands inside the pants intensified my exercise, by making my muscles work a little harder to go through the usual motions. The effect is similar to adding a resistance band to a regular exercise regimen. The resistance is slight, but if it was too strong, it would be exhausting to walk very far.

Other reviews left me in doubt about what size to order, so I called Reebok and got the following sizing information:

Waist measurement 24-26 inches: small

27-29: medium

30-32: large

33-35: x-large

I hope this information helps others get the right size. The pants are extremely stretchy, so if you''re in between sizes, I''d go with the smaller choice. Putting on these pants is a lot like putting on pantyhose they are skintight and if you don''t pull them up nice and high, they will tend to slide down lower as you move. I found it helped to pull some of the material from the ankle and calf area up higher, and continue working upward from there. Once I did that, they stayed put much better.

Overall, I''m glad I ordered the pants.

Want Reebok Women''s Easytone Pant Discount?

APY60:60 Day Power Yoga Home Fitness Workout DVD

APY60:60 Day Power Yoga Home Fitness Workout DVDThis series is exactly like"Yoga For Life" without the workshop and without holding a pose through a commercial. I''ve watched the Veria channel since it came on TV and have practiced "Yoga For Life" for almost 7 years. It''s my favorite yoga program. I was

disappointed to find "Yoga For Life" no longer in its regular time slot on Veria, so I bought APY60.

I found the poses to be identical to those in "Yoga For Life." The "Yoga For Life" DVD is about a 30-35 minute workout with about a 7-10 minute workshop at the beginning. What is different is the 10 minutes of Morning Blends on APY60. The workouts are approximately 40 minutes, with some being a little longer. Then the biggest difference is the change in habits that are part of

the program and the Paleo Diet adopted as the eating plan. I''ve been eating health food for years and am already on the Paleo

Diet. So for me there was no big change. It just allows me to mix up my workout so that I don''t get bored and so my body

doesn''t adapt to the same workout all of the time.

I''ve been doing yoga for over 12 years. I began doing asanas (still poses) with "Yoga Zone." I moved to vinyasas with Kurt

Johnsen''s "Yoga For Life," American Power Yoga "Strength," and American Power Yoga 60. I have other power yoga programs, including "Yoga Zone," Bryan Kest and Mark Blanchard. What I like best about Kurt Johnsen is his saying, "Give me an hour

and I''ll give you the power to change your life." It will. I''m a 65 year old female who has raised my bone density 9% with

Kurt Johnsen''s power yoga. I''m an equestrian who does rough sports like mounted fox hunting. I rely on Kurt Johnsen''s

DVDs to keep me cardio conditioned, flexible, and strengthened. Most equestrians have no fitness program beyond riding &

driving. I might address health issues some more. I have fibromyalgia. I rely on Kurt Johnsen''s workout DVDs to relieve pain for

24 hours. Doing Kurt''s workouts for 6 days per week has allowed me to live a normal life while other fitness training bores me

to death and doesn''t relieve as much pain.

APY60 DVD workouts could confuse a beginner who has never done yoga with Kurt Johnsen''s team before. I disagree with Ms.

Jeremiah, who gave the one negative review. The APY60 poses could never injure a practitioner. The beginning yoga practitioner is to watch the team member who does only modified poses on the far left side of the TV screen at all times. Listen to Kurt''s voice. He will mention alignment in poses such as warrior II. For the person who wants a greatly detailed explanation of the most difficult poses, then I recommend buying "Yoga For Life" to learn the proper alignment for the poses. The workshop explanation is particularly detailed, but proper technique is mentioned throughout all of the workouts. The APY60 DVD is not for a beginning yoga practitioner who has only done asanas (still poses and who has little cardio fitness. However, when I first started doing power yoga with Kurt Johnsen, I did the workouts anyway by pausing the DVD & taking a rest. Gradually, I needed fewer rests &, finally, I needed none.

Compared to Mark Blanchard''s power yoga, APY60 is leisurely paced.

I purchased this system after an impulse buy of Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Power Squad Bod! Body Slimming Yoga. I liked his delivery and wanted something I could follow through the busy holiday season that would keep me on track with my yoga workouts. My flexibility used to be fantastic, but is limited by weight gain as I have aged. I state this because those who think they are "too big" to do yoga, I don''t necessarily feel that is so and unlike some programs geared toward bigger people--this will challenge you versus just making you feel like you wasted your time with some minimal "stretching" movements. It is as hard or as easy as you make it physically.

The system consists of 10 full length (averaging 45-50 minute) workouts, a bonus endurance workouts you can use weights with, and 10 weeks of morning blends. It also consists of a nutrition guide and cookbook, but what''s neat to me is that there is something new every week in video format as well. There is a work book to guide you through the morning blends (as well as a smaller one to carry), and rubber bracelets if you choose to use them to remind you of your intention/goals of the day, stickers if you choose to use them to remind you of things like taking a deep breath or smiling (you put these in areas you are likely to see, i.e., for me the take a deep breath would be on the dashboard to remind me to take one during traffic).

The workouts are sound, Kurt''s delivery and interaction with the entire "class" is great. I *do* feel like I''m in a live yoga class because even if he or someone else goes off script, which isn''t often, it''s just part of the class. The music is nice, what you expect for quality yoga DVDs, and the set is like a yoga studio. I would say a beginner through advanced intermediate will definitely grow with this system. He incorporates pieces of martial arts including qigong and tai chi type movements as. He shows or explains at least 1 modification for each movement, sometimes everyone in the class (4 people plus Kurt, the people rotate weekly) is in a different position of a pose. These are "power" yoga workouts, but they are in my opinion not yoga on crack. The posts are not done at breakneck injury-inducing speed I''ve seen in some live and video classes. The idea here is that while some poses are tough, such as life, keeping your breath calm through them is the goal. It does carry over into life as anyone who practices yoga can agree. Yoga is not about downward dogs and the physical poses, and I like that Kurt makes sure that is clear. Kurt thoroughly explains the movements, keeps the flow going so it is not a choppy program, and you feel stretched AND RELAXED by the time you are done. During the classes I always got into the zone and time flew by. You do the same workout week for 6 days, with a new morning blend daily, for 10 weeks in a row. Each week''s workout has a slightly different focus, but they all come together throughout the program. I know for me I loved having the ability to go deeper into a pose I could not previously or just attempting it was very empowering.

Now the BEST part of this system to me is the morning blends. These are about 10-20 minute blends you do in the morning before you get started with your day. You don''t need a mat. They consist of physical movement, setting intentions or goals for the day, and yes meditation. Kurt designed his system to appeal to more Westerners so you are not going to hear "Om" (which does not bother me, but for some people it''s a turn off). I find these to be dessert BEFORE eating that are 100% calorie free. There are 6 NEW daily blends for the entire 10 weeks for a total of 60 different blends. Some of the challenges are simple such as putting your fork down between bites as far as meals, others more challenging to do with personal growth. Kurt does not "require" anything (this is not a boot-camp mentality or punish your body program) to be done; my take, was he wants you to take what you need from this program for now and leave the rest, understanding needs change daily. I cannot say enough about the morning blends and even on my off day I did one because they are addictive and you feel great to set the tone and mood for your day.

All in all, I think this is a great system with sound nutritional advice, for me it empowered me to make a lot of changes in the 60 days I did it career and health wise, and I craved the daily blends. WTG Kurt!

I am 44-years-old and have struggled with my flexibility for years. I had trouble getting out of bed in the morning and had to give up some much-loved activities.

I am on Day 14 of this program and am loving it. I slowly but surely am feeling better and better. I already feel 15 years younger. Most surprisingly, it has de-stressed me in so many ways, beyond the physical. And I do anticipate getting back into jiu jitsu (which I had given up due to injuries) soon.

The program is beautifully laid out, Kurt could not be more encouraging. Don''t get me wrong: this program is hard work. I find it quite challenging, but never more than I can handle.

I cannot say enough about this program. Buy it. Trust me. If you simply follow the instructions you will feel like a new person soon.

Since there are other reviews that give a break-down of APY60, I''d like to just share what it''s doing for me. I am a 40yo mama of five, 100+ pounds overweight, and about to begin week 4. I was already a Kurt Johnsen fan from his Strength DVD (I was so much more fit back then!) and later the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader one. As a very flexible person the moves I cannot effectively do are because of my belly fat or lack of strength~but that''s changing! I do a lot of the modifications and always start every move, sometimes stopping and waiting for the next move if it''s too much. By the end of the week''s practice I am able to do most everything (still with the modifications done by the modifier). Keep in mind I am taking this at my own pace! I try to blend every day (my kids also enjoy the Daily Blends!), but I often repeat a day''s Blend until I can follow it with a practice, as some days I''m sore and needing a rest. This means it takes me longer to finish a week, but I find that I come back stronger the next day. :)

I am also a CrAzY Christian lady, my faith is still intact, and I am so happy with how APY60 is changing my outlook on life for the better! I share this for those who think yoga and faith cannot coexist. APY60 does not feel "hokey". By Day 4 I noticed changes in my posture~it felt like my butt was very high up on my back~LOL! By Day 10 I felt like I could flourish in life, even under scrutiny. At Day 17 my stomach feels very, very, very tight~even though you can''t see it with the eye under all the fat. ;) It''s actually difficult to slouch, even though I have ridonkulous boobilage. I FEEL like a slim lady, even though I''m not (yet). I am better at overcoming life''s stress, and there is a huge difference in my lung capacity! The quickness of these changes are incredible to me having been big into weight lifting in the past.

The nutritional changes are introduced gradully~I love the way this system builds upon itself! I have honestly not kept up with all of them, but I look forward to doing so. The recipes are yummy and AMAZING! I am finding that I am naturally not eating past full and incorporating better eating habits without thought. I cannot wait to discover how much more my life will be changed at the end of Day 60, and then I look forward to doing it again! :) It truly is a life-changing system. I did not believe that yoga really could change so much outside of the physical!

None of the positive reviews are from employees of Apy60! The program works, and that is why u will only see one bad review. I knew nothing about yoga and my husband refused to even try yoga, but Kurt''s easy to follow instructions and his funny personality had us both hooked. I started Apy60 2 months after having my baby and I lost 60 pounds and my hubby lost 30. I don''t suffer from anxiety attacks anymore and I am happier and healthier inside and out! Kurt doesn''t expect to be your crutch, he will teach you how to incorporate yoga into your everyday life and even create your own routine. This is my second round doing this series and I''m learning more things than the first time. It''s not only yoga, it''s mediation, appreciation, reflection and a total lifestyle change for the better. I cannot say enough on how this program has made me a better person!

Champion Mens Jersey Short

Champion 8187 Ringspun Cotton Gym Shorts - Black - 2XLOK, gotta set the record straight on a couple of things. I really like Champion''s "Jersey" shorts. They''re thin, light weight cotton, and comfortable to work out in when I don''t want synthetic.

two things:

1) if you want thicker material, and pockets, get the "rugby" shorts.

1) only the solid colors (black/navy) are 100% cotton. The grey and granite heather colors are mixed cotton polyester.

if you''re not sure, check it out on champion''s website first.

Personally, I prefer these lighter weight "jersey" shorts. I own both, and the thicker "rugby" shorts are good for walking and relaxing, but thick enough to be too hot for serious workouts.

I received an email from txshirts stated that I should direct all inquiries to csr@txshirts.com. I did this on two occasions and received no reply. Customer service finally contacted me only to ask why I had left negative feedback on Amazon. They stated they never received any email from me.

Their gym shorts were not as described. The description said "covered elastic waistband". Instead, I received an "uncovered" elastic waistband that digs into my skin and leaves indentations on my skin.

Their response? I should pay for return shipping in order to get my money back.

But who should pay for return shipping when an item is falsely advertised???

These shorts were awful! They have no pockets and the waistband hurts because there is no cloth around the elastic. And they looked so bad I wouldn''t even wear them to the gym. I wouldn''t recommend them to anyone (they are a waste of your 7 bucks)

I purchased 1 Large Granite Heather short.

Size seems a bit smaller than large

Exposed elastic waistband

No Pockets

Thin material

Odd fitting

Just received these shorts & first thing I noticed was the lightweight fabric & then upon looking at the tag discovered they are 60% cotton & 40% polyester.....very deceiving for folks who can only wear natural fibers....Made in Honduras. My husband says they are ok for the price but I was expecting 100% cotton.

Zumba Fitness Exhilarate Body Shaping System DVD

Zumba Fitness Exhilarate Body Shaping System DVDZumba is my favorite gym class so when I decided I would rather start working out at home according to my own schedule, it was a no-brainer to purchase a Zumba DVD set. The difference between this smaller set and the larger one that is priced at approximately $20 more is that the larger set includes the Sentao workout using chairs which I never intend to do, along with a Fitness Concert DVD that I''m not really interested in. If you can do without those two additions, this smaller set should be sufficient plus you will save money. Since Zumba is primarily a cardio workout, just remember to supplement it with some kind of strength training. Have fun!

What could be better than dancing around and losing weight?! Zumba keeps me in shape and unlike any other workout it does not become repetitive or boring. I hate the gym and I''m so glad to have a workout that I can truly get into and have fun with. Zumba is part of my everyday schedule and since it is so accessible I can workout on my own time. Now there is no need to worry about making the classes at the local gym. These classes cost a lot of money at my gym, too. When I saw I could get the same workout without paying the membership fee along with booking classes, it was a no brainer. I''ve been using the DVD''s for over 2 months now and along with a healthy diet I have never felt this great. I stay toned, have more energy, and even learned some great new dances. Types of dances you''ll experience on these DVD''s include salsa, hip-hop, and reggaeton. One of the only issues I have with this box set is the toning sticks...they are a little chintzy. I prefer using rubber dumbbells my husband had gotten me a couple years ago: Altus Athletic 32-Pound Dumbbell Set with Stand These are the exact ones I have that are absolutely amazing. They are durable and come with a nice small stand that fit perfect in the hallway closet.

I also supplement with Raspberry Ketone Platinum (2 Bottles) Clinical Strength All Natural Fat Burning, Weight Loss, Diet Formula, 60 capsules before workouts, which gives me a great energy boost and has helped me lose weight faster. I started using it about 3 weeks into Zumba and since then I have been losing almost twice the amount of weight (was averaging 2.5 to 3 pounds a week without the supplement now about 5 pounds a week while using it) They are all natural and fit the exact criteria Dr. Oz suggests. There are several different brands out there, I just find this one to be one of the best.

I will continue to use these DVD''s for as long as I can dance. Just to give you idea of my results I am currently 5''6 and had a starting weight of 171. Since starting I have lost a total 26 lbs and have toned up in places I never thought muscle could exist! If you like dancing and looking great then Zumba is for you :)

I love this set! It''s not like a typical workout...my endorphins were pumping so much that I didn''t have a chance to get tired. I love that there is a back view to the dvd''s...some steps are easier figured out by looking from behind. The instructors are not annoying, however, if you think they are there is a setting to mute them, and just have the music.

Zumba is a great way to work out, and the set is nicely put together, the DVD''s are clear and production is good too, but, if you''re a guy, you might not like it too much. Let me explain... yes it was created by a guy and there are men in the videos doing the routines but this is more for women in my opinion. there''s a lot of latin dances where you are told to twirl your dress, there are belly dance routines and etc. Very feminine stuff. At first i thought, who cares? I''m alone here. But, after awhile it was just too much. Not to mention the girls are distracting to look at. (:

When you get to the CD which has Beto (zumba''s creator) doing the routines it''s voiced over. it''s pretty much like watching a half time routine. Although it is challenging and very physical, you have to learn a LOT of dance moves. It''s not just cardio where you sweat and burn fat, you actually have to LEARN dance moves. The first CD shows you this, but honestly, unless you''re a trained dancer or VERY apt at picking up moves, you''ll be lost. I can dance and have rhythm but you''re doing salsa, merengue and all kinds of other moves. I found myself constantly behind or confused.

So once again, it is great for women and those who can dance or pick it up quickly, but if you are a guy trying to lose weight or just get fit, this won''t be for you.

Zumba is a great way to exercise. But do not buy this 2012 version unless you have tried the Total Body Transformation set....the latter breaks down the moves step by step and the hosts Beto and Tanya break down the work out routines for you by guiding you. Only when you have mastered the Total Body Transformation set then I suggest you move on this 2012 set as it is not so much of teaching as the workouts expect you to know the moves already. There are some new moves from around the world which are broken down in one of the videos, however the workout routines are more high impact, less talking and guidance from the hosts. I love this 2012 set because I know the moves from the Total Body Transformation set...it''s fun and exciting to work out with Zumba.
