Gymnastik Standard Orange Exercise Ball - 53 cm

The ball seems of good quality, but when it arrived and we inflated it, we found to our dismay that it was covered in a film of oil or grease. We tried to wash it off with warm soapy water, but no luck. We called the company and they very kindly and promptly said they''d ship a new one. They said they had never heard of that problem. They new one arrived in short order, and was also very oily / greasy. I have washed it three times now in very hot soapy water, and it seems a bit better, but nowhere near clean. Very disappointing. We need this item for therapy for our daughter, and it is very frustrating not to be able to use it. I''ll give it a couple more washings tonight to see if I can get it clean, and give up if I can''t. Dust and hair from the carpet are sticking to it, and I''m afraid it will stain the carpet or my daughter''s clothes. Buying a ball should be simple, but I''ve wasted a lot of time and energy on the Gymnastik greaseball.

It''s working okay so far for my PT needs, but it came with deep creases that I''m not sure won''t result in tears. We will see. I ordered this ball because it is the exact one in my PT office, but the one they have is smooth. This one has deep, deep creases, and you can actually see a break in the surface. I just hope it lasts for more than just shoulder work.

I actually have had this ball for 6 years now! Am finally writing the review after I came online to find a new pump for it. Mine didn''t have any sort of coating like someone else mentioned. It''s served me well and still going strong. I love it.

The ball is exactly the same size and quality of ball I was using in physical therapy. I''m very happy with my ball. And don''t let anyone fool you. If you''re 4''10 53cm is NOT the same as a 55cm ball. And although 2cm doesn''t seem like it would make that big of a difference it really does! When it comes to being truly useful for exercises and being able to perform them safely, there''s NO SUBSTITUTE for the correct size ball.
