To be honest, these two flaws never concerned me because I wanted it to roll, and the 65cm ball didn''t have sand in it. I figured any resistance in the rolling would help with strengthening the muscles. Even with that, I was sold when I saw it came with a DVD, chart, and two 2lbs balls.
My first reaction when I opened the box was suprise from the weight of the package. I instantly knew it wasn''t going to be some cheap, thin, flimbsy rubber. In fact, every new discovery was about the quality of this item. The ball itself has super thick skin, with knobs all over to help create resistance to movement. The two weighted balls are also thick rubber, smooth, and pre-filled with air. They''re roughly about 6" diameter, and can be easily held in the hand as they comform.
The pump again, was a nice surprise. At first glance, it appears that it''ll take forever to pump up the ball with a little hand pump, but then you realize that it pumps air, on both directions of the stroke. I had the ball filled up in less than two minutes, and it''s not just some tab that''ll pop up with pressure, it''s a cone that fits snuggly in place, about two inches long, and if for any reason you decide to adjust the air volume in the ball, it comes with a plastic pry bar with a notch that slides under the cap, so you can pull it out without having to use your fingernails to dig down.
I haven''t used the DVD or chart, as I have my own exercises, but being that I''ve listened to Jillian Michaels on KFI 640 back when she used to be on air, and know the quality of advice she used to give out, it''s reasonable to think that the same quality would come out on her DVD.
If you''re worried about the quality, especially being that it''s cheaper than most products on the market, don''t, it just means you''re getting a really good deal. I''m 270 lbs, and I sit on this ball for one of my exercises, and completely trust it. I trust this brand enough to buy more exercise equipment from Jillian. This is a nice set for home workouts. Besides the stability ball and 2 soft two pound balls there is a demonstration DVD that you can put on pause to try out new exercises. Jillian demonstrates interesting and advanced exercises with the stability ball after she shows you the easier version. It gives you something to use as a goal with core exercises. I was amazed at the exercises incorporating the soft 2 pound balls so have added them to my overall exercise routine. Jillian has a great voice and describes each exercise while she is performing them. This was a good deal for the money.

Easy to blow up and also deflate to take with you. I am actually using this ball to bounce my colicky baby, but think it will be a great ball to use for exercise later. Great value for the money, with the two lb weights, video and exercise chart!Read Best Reviews of Jillian Michaels Ultimate Pilates Kit Here
I was waiting for this to arrive and loose my baby weight...but I guess I need to wait longer as I am pretty sure I got the wrong ball. I kept blowing it up bigger and bigger hoping to reach the instructed 204cm for a 65cm ball. After several attemps...I got close at 186cm...but the ball looks like it''s gonna burst and I am afraid to use. The 55cm ball inflates to 173cm...so I think I got the 55cm ball and have over done the pump.I want the right ball...what is going on. I just emailed the company who makes them...so we will see what happens. This isn''t my first workout ball...so I am sure I did this right, the inflating I mean.
UPDATE: Called the company who makes these...spoke to someone who had no information about the product...but had a co-worker who seemed to know a few things about workout balls. Apparently...you inflate the ball like 50-80%...then wait a day...inflate more, then wait and keep doing this until it reaches the right size. He said it can take like a week.
As I have never had this happen to me before...the workout ball I have is getting bigger and bigger each time...so perhaps it isn''t the wrong ball shipped, it just needs a week to become that size. What a pain...why wasn''t this info on the product or box...why did I have to call and research this. The stability ball is a 55cm NOT a 65 as stated to be in kit. Otherwise it''s a great value for just the weighted 2# balls alone would cost you per 1 unit!
