CycleOps realRides Race Day Trainer DVD

No one likes riding a trainer indoors. This really helps and helps you vary your intensity. You sprint when they sprint and take it easy when the riders do. 1/2 the time I''m in the drops not even looking at the screen just listening to the commentary, "Pace is really picking up now!" and I pedal harder. This workout would also work with rollers. I had another DVD years ago which was basically a spin class with people on road bikes on Cycleops trainers. At the time I only had rollers, there were no scenic visuals and I thought that DVD sucked. Real Rides Race Day is good with rollers, a trainer or even a stationary bike. It''s interesting enough to keep you engaged for 40 minutes even if you''ve watched it a bunch of times. This is NOT an instructional DVD. It''s a handlebar camera view of a real race and the racer talks you through most of it and explains his racing strategy for the race. I''m probably going to order a more instructional Real Rides video next. The production quality is very good audio and video. The on screen "dashboard" helps as well. I find it more engaging than watching a race.

I love this training DVD. Borrowed a copy from a friend a few years ago and wanted to have one for my own. This DVD is unique in that you have a rider''s view (Robbie Ventura) from start to finish during an actual 30+ US National Masters criterium in Downers Grove. I watch it once a week during my off season training and it is a great way to work on intervals.

I was able to find this DVD from an Amazon vendor for just under $10.00 + S&H (New!). What a bargain.

I bought this video becouse I spend 90% of my time on the bike on the trainer. This is a great video for anyone who wants to race a bike or just wants a hard workout.

No one likes riding indoors and this will make you want to do it less...This is time in my life I will never ever get back-I am greatful that I did not purchase this video but it came free with my purchase of the CycleOps Fluid 2 tranier. I think it is very difficult to follow and really poorly made (it has a feel of a home movie...like I YouTube''d it and threw it into a DVD case). It is also dated as well by a few years...I would rather stare at my concrete walls in my basement then watch this dull and boring DVD-I will be throwing this in the trash.
