Body Champ BF620 Easy Cycle Trainer

Body Champ BF620 Easy Cycle TrainerBought this thinking that it''ll be one of those products that''s, "you get what you pay for", but it turned out to be a solid product.

The fitting is great. Took me about 20 minutes to put it together by myself. Only problem I had was the seat bolt that was hard to get to. Adjustments are easy to make, tension adjustment is smooth and the levels of resistance is very very good. It''s very stable while riding. Handles are solid. The little computer is simple and straight to the point and easy to use. Design and welding is very good. The seat is little hard, but bad enough to complain about.

Only weird thing is that there is a little wobble on the wheel, but it''s something you have to adjust through two screws on the each side of the wheel. It''s not something that would make it hard for you to use the machine, but a little annoyance.

Overall, a simple, easy to use, easy to assemble product that''s easy on the wallet. Great for just getting on it while watching TV or morning workout before work.

First of all, this item shipped incredibly quick. I got it in about 5 days so that was already a big plus.

About the product itself, I have no complaints. It was incredibly easy to put together and the final product did not take up too much floor space...about 2'' by 3''? It cycles smoothly and I like the knob that allows you to adjust the tension of the belt. There is a calorie counter as well as time and distance.

This is definitely not one of those fancy bikes you see at the gym but remember you are getting this for $180 and it is worth every penny.

I first got this bike for my parents, but since I was the one who assembled it, I tested it out and now workout on it regularly.

Assembly: Extremely easy. The manual was really easy to understand.

Quality: The first thing you notice when you hop on this bike is how ridiculously SMOOTH it is. I don''t think any exercise bike I''ve been on rides this smooth. The wheel is not made of plastic like most ellipticals/bikes. It''s some sort of steel/smooth metal. It is extremly fluid and quiet.

Value: This bike is really reasonably priced. The quality for the price is really a steal. I was watching this bike for a while and I actually purchased it when it was at a more expensive price, but I really didnt'' want to wait and don''t regret it at all.

You won''t be disappointed with this purchase. Definitely recommend it.

After using this spin cycle in my home for over 4 months I believe that I can make a pretty insightful evaluation of this product. Let me begin my saying that for anyone looking for a spin bike to use at home instead of going to the gym, spend a little extra money and buy a different bike. There are plenty of spin bikes on Amazon with great reviews for $250+ that can be ordered.

The problem with this bike stems from how the resistance is adjusted. This bike uses a simple strap that goes around the perimeter of the flywheel which can be tightened. There is a knob that can be turned to loosen or tighten this band and this allows the resistance to be changed. Turn the knob to tighten the strap and the bike becomes harder to pedal. Other bikes (e.g. gym bikes and quality bikes) use a system similar to a conventional road bicycle where you have a brake pad squeeze the flywheel to slow the rotation and provide friction. Why the system that the Body Champ bike uses is inferior is because the strap will wear out substantially faster than the conventional "squeeze type" system. My first resistance strap has already worn out and it has been only 45 days. I cant even say that I use the bike every day.

After contacting the company who makes this product, I was informed that it was "normal" for this to happen and that this part was a wear and tear item. Luckily, since I had a 90 day warranty period for parts, my first resistance band was replaced for free. However, from now on I would have to pay $15 + $5 s&h and wait one week to get a replacement part every time it wears out. I bought the bike because I thought it would provide years of use without giving me any issues. Now, I find out that I need new parts every 3 months. I understand that parts do wear out, but having to change them so often is a bit ridiculous.

At the end of it all you will wind up spending money on this bike plus $20 every 3-4 months for however long you own it to even be able to use it. I say save yourself some time and money now and get something that will last right out of the gate. This one is definitely a skip
