CrossFit Ab Mat Back Pad by Rubberbanditz For Total Core Workout

CrossFit Ab Mat Back Pad by Rubberbanditz For Total Core WorkoutTrainer had this in his gym. Works great I would recommend people to get it. The one I got, got to me real quick

Very helpful in performing sit-ups and building ab strength. Great for the beginner as well as experienced for safe sit-ups.

This isn''t a real Abmat. The title is misleading with putting "Ab Mat". The space played a little trickery on my eyes. Anyways, that''s my fault, but I think it''s pretty shady. While removing it from the plastic, I was stabbed in the finger by one the of the staples used the back of it. Not the greatest quality and it sits a little higher than a real Abmat. Not as comfortable but it get''s the job done. Won''t be recommending this product to anyone else.

Rubberbanditz 41 inch Continuous Loop Pull Up Assistance

Rubberbanditz Pull Up / Crossfit Band - Power - 50 - 120 lbs. ResistanceI ordered two different bands to help me with pullups and overall back strength. The bands are strong/sturdy and easy to use. I received them within a couple of days in spite of the fact that I provided the wrong shipping address. The seller responded to my emails promptly and promptly forwarded the bands to my new address at no additional charge. Thanks for a great product and great service.

The product itself is excellent, but these are the exact same bands sold by Body Bands and a number of other companies.

So, what''s the problem?

Simple: Rubberbanditz sells them for nearly double the price of Body Bands.

Don''t waste your money: Get the same product for half the price.

Your intelligent use of the free market will force over-priced retailers to either 1) lower their prices to be competitive with the best deals on the market or 2) close their doors.

Spend your money wisely. I almost bought these because they''re what my friends have, but then I saw the body bands and ordered the 1-4 set for $59 dollars.

Go ahead and compare the price, it''s all right here on Amazon.

This band (i bought the green) is great for pull-ups and it even came with its own DVD, it tells you how to use it and what workouts you can try.

If your worried about weight this thing can hold and resist at least 200lbs. Or if you think you are weaker go for the strong blue or monster black.

I''ll end up buying a lighter resistance to continue to test my pull-ups until i feel comfortable letting go of assisted pull-ups

Pro''s

-strong resistance with color coded levels

-great for resistance training

-Comes with an instructional DVD for working out in small rooms or spaces

Con''s

-limited to only certain colors for certain resistance

-it will wear and tear but in about a year or 2....But i have had mine for 1 month and is still in great condition

I have a Kettler Favorit rower, and was looking for a band product that would allow me to be more efficient in changing the workout resistance levels. I tried using tube bands and the clipping and un-clipping was not meeting the challenge. I researched this product and the many resistance levels drew me in (40lb to 80lb). I''m now able to move the rower back and increase the resistance level in a range from 40lb to 80lb in a snap. I''m very impressed with the quality and flexible performance of this band.

Great product works great. I could already do 5 pullups unassisted, with the band the 9th and 10th reps are a struggle. If you can not do any pullups I would suggest a heavier band.

Michelle Dozois Peak 10 More Cardio Strength

Michelle Dozois Peak 10 More Cardio StrengthWOW! That is the word that comes to mind regarding this workout! I wasn''t sure what to expect but was not disappointed in the quality of the workout that I received from Michelle! I had never done a workout of hers but I must say this one did not leave anything on the table. It was TOUGH! When I put in time doing a workout, whether it be an hour or more, I want to feel like I have made good use of my time. There is nothing worse than committing to an hour long class or DVD only to end feeling like you have to go do more. By the time the hour with Michelle is up, I am ready for it to be over! I love the variation from the normal workout that I get with this 59 minute sweat soaking, heart-pounding, high-intensity muscle/cardiovascular challenge!! I am a fitness instructor and have done about every kind of workout at home that there is out there from P90X to Jackie Warner to old school Billy Blanks Tae Bo (may be showing my age here now ;) ) so it is hard to find one that challenges me at a level that this one does while being "new" and unique! This one delivers! The way heavier weights (meaning 10lbs for me) are incorporated into strength moves (some that I''ve not seen done before) that are fast paced and the way the progression of the Peak 10 regimen works, gives me a workout that is so challenging overall. Mentally, I really have to toughen up to get through this workout and stick to the heavier weights rather than drop down, because that''s what I want to do. I don''t know that I have worked up a sweat like this in a very long time!! Wasn''t sure when I ordered it if I would like it or not, but am SO glad that I gave it a chance! Would definitely agree with the "intermediate to advanced" label for this one. I cannot say enough great things about this workout. I will probably think about others of hers in the future. This will go into my regular rotation. Try it....not for the weak of heart, mind or body.

I ordered all 3 new Peak 10 dvd''s and have tried 2 so far. Wow! It''s very intense. If this was my first time working out I would quit, but since I''ve been doing her old dvds for several months, I felt comfortable pushing myself to finish the workouts. I would consider this ideal if you''re intermediate to advanced. It''s great because you can start out with light weights and increase as you get stronger. I like the build up intensity intervals of cardio and strength training. It''s amazing and I would highly recommend this to get toned and tight all over. It''s tough, but I found myself actually looking forward to the next workout to see if I can push myself even further. Love it!

This is a great advanced workout to do at home. It is versitile, so you can do the entire workout, or shorten on days when you have less time. You need some hand weights. It is very worth while!

I enjoyed this workout and found it to be a great workout. I do think I like the prior Peak 10 Cardio Strength workout slightly better but this is good to mix it up. It does really work the abs with several of the moves. I was feeling it in the obliques the next day. I got a great workout and will find I will use this DVD often.

ACCUSPLIT AL370 FM Radio Pedometer

ACCUSPLIT AL370 FM Radio PedometerThe pedometer seems to work fine. I find the radio unsatisfactory, however. I also find that it''s too easy to bump a button and make the pedometer talk loudly.

Here are the radio''s flaws:

1) The display on the unit only displays pedometer info (steps/distance/calories/time); it does NOT display radio frequency. Since the radio operates by scanning one button sets the frequency to 88.1 MHz, the other scans up the dial to the next station it finds you have to know when you''ve reached the station you want to listen to, and the only way to do this is by listening. So finding a particular station can be difficult if you don''t know what the station is playing at the moment.

2)The sound quality of the radio is not very good. It is not awful, but I find that occasional words can be hard to make out if I''m listening to the news with background noise around me. And you certainly won''t hear all the nuances of music from this radio.

3) If you walk through an area where there is interference or poor signal for your station, the radio often seems to `go fishing'' for a stronger signal, and sometimes changes to a different, nearby station. When this happens you might have to find your station again, by scanning up the dial from the bottom until you hear the right station.

4) The only volume control on the unit is on the earphone cord. So you can''t replace the included earphones with your favorite headphones unless these also have a volume control.

Finally, the "talking" feature really annoys me. It''s very easy to hit the ''talk'' button unintentionally. When I''m setting the radio, or if the unit gets bumped when clipped to my belt or when stashed in my backpack, it will loudly say "YOU HAVE WALKED 3524 STEPS" or something like that... this will certainly draw attention to you if you''re in class or on the bus when this happens!

This pedometer delivers exactly what it promises. It''s small, lightweight, has a decent radio that hangs on to the station being played, and is remarkably accurate. Love the extra belt clip to prevent dropping and breaking. Have used a lot of small pedometers, with and without radio capability, and like this one the best.

This item is the largest disappointment I have ever had from Amazon and does not deserve to be in their warehouse. I bought it as a gift and the person returned it to me because they could not get it to work properly. I also tried to make it work without success. As a pedometer, it would record steps whether you were walking or just sitting, the time setting recorded to its own whims, and the distance would have been great, had it been accurate. It would claim 1200 steps in 5 minutes and claim a distance of 2.7 miles record setting I believe! It is trashed and replaced. I also wrote to the company for support in fixing the problem, but they chose not to respond because they probably know it can''t be done!!

I''m not sure if anyone notice but there is no stitching on the upper part of the shoe unlike the other Salomon range in the past and I think it''s a good thing as it provide less abrasion contact between the skin and the shoe. Garmin Forerunner 210 with Heart Rate Monitor (Teal)

Garmin Forerunner 210 with Heart Rate Monitor
  • Easy-to-use, button operated
  • Records position, speed/pace, distance and calorie data
  • Automatic Time zone

My first Garmin GPS sports watch was a Forerunner 305. Worked OK but I was not too fond of carrying a canary cage around on my wrist. And I found most of the menu choices and options irrelevant to what I really needed, which was just to know my pace, distance and elapsed time. I eventually sold it on EBay and "upgraded" to a Forerunner 405. That I found to be a very frustrating piece of equipment: non-intuitive, complicated menus plus a very cranky touch-bezel input method. In a year or so of using that watch, I never got anywhere near comfortable with it. The touch-bezel seemed to have an evil life of its own; I really never could make it work right. And the battery had to be re-charged constantly. Finally, in a fit of frustration, one day I jerked it off my wrist, stomped it to death and threw it in a trashcan. No more Garmin for me for the last year or so.

But, finally, I could no longer deal with not knowing my current pace and started checking out sports watches again. Liked the reviews for the 210 and decided to try one, albeit with great misgivings. Now, after two racewalks using the watch, I can say that I highly recommend it. (Caveat: of course, at this point, I have no idea about long-term dependability.)

I had read that Garmin moved their headquarters and, in the process, got rid of a bunch of their programmers. If that is the case, then perhaps this Garmin 210 is the happy result. Best thing, the irritating touch-bezel is gone! Hooray! Here we have 4 physical buttons. The complicated, hard-to-use menu system is gone, replaced by something easy enough to learn in just a try or two. (Alternatively, you could break down and read the instructions.) The screen does not divide up into slices and offer you choices of what to put into each slice. It just shows you distance at the top (set for miles for kilometers), elapsed time in the middle and pace (set for current or average) at the bottom. Period. Which is all I ever want to see on the watch face, anyway. Fancy stuff like a "virtual runner" is not there. But it saves your history and you can upload runs to Garmin Connect if you want. And it does a few other things that probably some, but not most, users ever actually use. Bottom line is that it''s user-friendly, simple and straight-forward -everything the Forerunner 405, in my opinion, is not. And the battery, unlike the 405, seems to go for a while -they say at least a week or more, depending on use, of course -without having to re-charge.

I give it 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the cable USB connector which ends in a 4-prong clip that has to be aligned with 4 connectors on the back of the watch. Takes some attention to clip it in right and looks to me like an area that might develop trouble. I notice that Garmin makes a big deal out of telling you to clean those connections, which probably means they tend to get unclean very quickly and not work right. Would be great if there was just a simple mini-USB plug to go into the watch, like a camera uses, instead of that bulky clip. But, for now, the clip works fine for me and may never give any trouble, for all I know. Also, I have no idea how the watch will hold up over time.

For anyone who mostly needs just the basic information about their run or other activity and especially for anyone who has become frustrated with one of the touch-bezel models or with other Garmin watch operating systems, this watch could be just what you are looking for. BTW, there is also a Forerunner 110 that is very similar and $50 less but my understanding is that it only shows average pace, not current. That would not work for me.

Buy Garmin Forerunner 210 with Heart Rate Monitor (Teal) Now

Bought this watch as a gift for my wife. I''ve had the Garmin Forerunner 205 for 2.5 years and my wife had been interested in getting her own for some time. The thing that was holding her back was the size of the 205. It just didn''t fit comfortably on her wrist. The 210 solves that problem with it''s compact size and actually offers more features than the 205 (heart rate monitor and interval support). The 210 is so small I would actually consider is reasonable to wear around as a regular men''s sport watch (unlike the 205 it is easy to display time as the primary screen rather than buried in a sub menu).

The only reason I didn''t give 5 stars is the USB connector / recharging cable. The watch has 5 points on the back used for downloading data and charging and to connect it to the computer or power plug you have to use an odd proprietary clip that clamps down on the front and back of the watch. You have to be very careful to line up all 5 of the contact points otherwise charing won''t work. I''m guessing they didn''t use a standard mini-USB for reasons of water resistance, but the clip is not easy to connect to the device and it can slip off of the watch easily. My 205 has a cradle that the watch sits in, I''m not sure why Garmin went away from this approach, but the cradle is clearly preferable to the clip.

If you can get over the clip for charging I highly recommend this watch.

As a side note we also considered the Garmin 110, but did not purchase that because it doesn''t offer real-time pace information. That was a deal breaker for me. If you are considering the 110 spend the few extra dollars for the 210. You won''t be sorry.

After my IMTX training buddies finally convinced me to invest in a Garmin Forerunner, I decided to go with the 210. I did a lot of research and I liked the functionality and look of the 210, and went with that. I bought mine online at REI (had some gift cards) and it came with free standard shipping, and got here just in time for my race last weekend.

So it arrived on Sat and my race was on Sunday morning. It charged fully within a couple hours, and it took me only a few minutes to figure out and complete the initial set up. Another minute later and I had all the basic functionality figured out. On race day (sprint du), it found the satellites very quickly, less than a minute. The run portion was in a park, not on Google-able roads, and the 210 worked as well as I had hoped. It was easy to check my pace, my heartrate and distance without distracting me from the race. I love how it beeps every mile (you can change the default lap distance), but the beep is not too loud to be considered annoying.

I went for another 8mi run at the local park trails and did 3 loops (also a non-Google-able route), and it worked GREAT! Satellites were found in about 10sec. After the first loop, I stopped the 210 while I took a moment to de-layer (it was chilly but I warmed up quicker than I thought). Then re-started it again no issues there. My pace was easy to track and the mileage seemed to be very accurate.

I connected the 210 to my computer when I got home VERY easy to figure that out and install the necessary software. Within about 5min, I had connected and was able to see my run data, from the race and my training run.

Very good GPS watch, very fun and easy to use highly recommend for anyone who wants to make running more fun, or who is as fascinated by data as I am.

Want Garmin Forerunner 210 with Heart Rate Monitor (Teal) Discount?

I recently bought the Forerunner 410 based on features and reviews. I absolutely hated it and returned it after 3 days. I wrote a separate review on the 410. I got the 210 and love the size for a woman''s wrist. The GPS connects in a few seconds and the features are very easy to use. (With the 410 I ran a 5k with the instruction manual in my hand.) As others have said connecting it up to those 5 tiny contact points that you cannot see is a bit tricky, but it charges fast and I have been able to upload my data into the Garmin Connect website and MapMyRun with ease. I only wear it when I am running or biking and it goes to a power save mode when not in use. The watch lasted a week without running out of battery time. This is using GPS (while running) and running about 20-25 miles per week.

PROS:

Very simple to use

Good size for woman''s wrist

Could use as a regular watch due to it''s size

GPS connects fast

Power save mode

Has pace, distance, intervals, etc

CONS:

The battery contacts are tiny and tricky to get in place

Heart rate monitor strap seems very soft and pliable but cuts into my skin.

WISHES: Had vibration mode for intervals when wearing headphones

Purchased the first Garmin Forerunner 210 on the advice of my fitness trainer. After ten uses indoors, I attempted to synch the watch with my PC. The wrist unit screen flashed bright blue and went dead. Since I was within days of the 30-day Amazon return policy, I hustled to return the Garmin. Amazon sent me an new replacement model quickly. I was thankful the 210 did not fail a week later.

I have had the replacement Forerunner 210 with premium heart monitor for six months. I have been using it both outdoors and indoors. It finds and locks on GPS very consistently. The Garmin Connect web site has been very helpful in tracking tracking and sharing information. After five months of use, the heart monitor failed to connect with the unit. I changed the battery in the heart monitor. To remove the cover, I was required to use a very small jewlery screw driver to release four very, very small screws. One of the screws began to strip, but I was able to remove the cover and change the battery. I''d love to know who what brain surgeon designed the battery cover. Very small jewlery screws??? Really???

The heart monitor worked for two weeks then began to fail even with the new battery. This time I replaced the battery again and the heart monitor failed to take a reading. I am on line now purchasing the basic heart monitor to replace the premium one that has failed. I note others have had issues with the premium monitor also, so I am not buying that one.

This is becoming an expensive investment.

ASICS Women''s Field Skirt

Womens ASICS Field Skirt, Color:Black, SI bought this skirt cause I have too many black skirts and shorts, but beware. There is NOTHING under it no liner, no panties, no shorts. I will have to return or wear bike shorts underneath. I also bought a medium length is ok but waist is big.

As other reviewers pointed out, this skirt does not have shorts underneath, but that''s what I was looking for. This skirt is perfect if you have a favorite pair of running tights or compression shorts, but you want to cover up for modesty. It''s long enough to cover everything that needs to be covered, and it''s short enough that it doesn''t constrict movement. It stays in place, doesn''t ride up and doesn''t twist around my waist. The size runs a little big, I normally wear large, but medium fit better. The colors are nice and bright, I have this in royal and black.

Really have no complaints with this skirt. It would have gotten five stars if it had shorts underneath.

The skirt does not ride and stays in place while running and kickboxing much better than the three running skirts (with shorts) that I own. It is also a bit longer than the others. Overall very satisfied with the skirt and I can use it with running tights during the winter!

I LOVE this skirt that I bought last November and now I just ordered another one. It has NO shorts or anything under it so I can wear it over my favorite bike shorts or my skiing or running tights. And it''s light weight enough to race in and dries quickly when wet. When it has gotten too hot when hiking up a mountain in Alaska and I"ve taken my tights or capris off underneath this skirt is not too short all by itself either ( although I''d recommend nice undies under) ! Its relaxed around the waist, does not bind but stays up through all conditions. I wear this all year long in Alaska, as it also provides a nice extra (flattering) cover for cold days in winter while Cross Country skiing. THIS is the perfect attractive cover up for active people that wear their own tights or shorts or capris.

Forza Bolt-on Axle Adapter for F-2 Trainer

Forza Bolt-on Axle Adapter for F-2 TrainerThis bolt-on adapter for the Forza trainer is great. Well made. Does what is intended. I only wish the trainer itself came with these to begin with...

Note: Buy 2 of these! I got one and found my bolts (Schwinn Seneca) fit in the existing adapter on ONE side, but it was a bit sloppy. To prevent "slop" or other potential damage, be sure to get two of them. They simply install with an allen wrench, replacing the existing one. The inside of these are tapered to allow the bolts to slide in, no matter the size.

WHen I bought my bike stabalizer, I was told I would need two of these. I did not. They came with the unit. Wait until you get your stabalizing station before you order these. There is nothing wrong with them, I just did not need them.

Total Body Solution: Relieve Pain & Prevent Strain in 15 Minutes, Workout DVD

Total Body Solution: Relieve Pain & Prevent Strain in 15 Minutes, Workout DVD(#1 Hall OF FAME REVIEWER)This therapeutic DVD by Beachbody features instructor Debbie Siebers of Slim in Six/Slim Series fame. She has enlisted neurophysiologist Chad Waterbury to create routines that help (according to the DVD cover) "relieve pain and alleviate strain." This DVD focuses on five specific areas of the body: Neck, Shoulders, Low Back, Core, and Knee. In their Introduction, Debbie and Chad discuss the signs of healthy functioning in these areas, including mobility, range of motion, and endurance strength. These indicators of healthy functioning are further explored in the Assessment tests (explained below).

The Main Menu lists each of the five target areas. When you select one, you are first taken to additional information about Beachbody''s services (you can fast-forward through this, but it can''t be skipped), and then Debbie and Chad come onscreen for an introduction to that area. Each area consists of two sections: 1) Assessment Test(s), 1-2 tests exploring pre-existing functioning in that area, and 2) Solution, a series of exercises, or "drills," designed to improve mobility, range of motion, and endurance strength in that particular area. The setting is outdoors, with Chad providing instruction and Debbie performing both the Assessment tests as well as all of the drills (Chad sometimes joins in).

I have broken down each segment in detail below. (Note: for all drills, 15 repetitions of each exercise are performed unless otherwise noted.)

NECK, 12.5 minutes

Assessment (2 mins.; uses chair)

There are two Neck tests. The first is a chin tuck, attempting to hold the chin toward the chest for 30 seconds without pain. The second is a head turn, trying to get the head past the shoulder on either side.

Solution (10 mins.; uses mat and chair)

Chin tuck

Neck flexion (lying face-up, lifting head)

Neck Extension (lying face down, lifting head)

Side neck flexion (lifting head from side-lying position; repeat on both sides)

Head tilt hold (seated in chair, hold head for neck stretch)

SHOULDERS, 15.5 minutes

Assessment (1.5 mins.)

There is one Shoulders test. This consists of reaching behind the back with one hand coming up over the shoulder and reaching down, one hand coming across the back and reaching up, and then trying to clasp the two hands together (aka cow-face arms in yoga); this is repeated on both sides.

Solution (14 mins.; uses mat and band with optional stability ball)

Egyptian (arms bent at 90-degrees, one up, one down; alternate)

Chest Lift (standing, raise chest while pulling shoulders back)

Floor Push (protract/retract shoulder blades)

Y Raise (lying over stability ball, lift arms in Y shape)

External Rotation (arms bent at 90-degrees, rotate down and back up)

T Rotation (on hands and knees, alternately lift one arm and twist)

Floor Slide (lying on back, slide arms down, squeezing traps muscles)

Band Pull (holding band overhead, bring behind back)

LOWER BACK, 22 minutes

Assessment (4 mins.)

The Lower Back assessment consists of one test: holding a bent over fold for 120 seconds with good form and without pain.

Solution (18 mins.)

Cat/Camel (on hands and knees, alternately arch/extend spine)

Hip Twist

Bird Dog (on hands and knees, lift opposite arm/leg)

Trunk Twist (standing twist)

Glute Bridge (pelvic raises performed on heels)

Clam (open/close leg)

Good Morning (come to bent over position/raise back up)

Psoas Hold (hip stretch)

CORE, 15.5 minutes

Assessment (5.5 mins.)

Two Core tests are performed. The first is a 90 second hold of plank, and the second is a 75 second hold of side (elbow) plank, although this is performed on both sides.

Solution (10 mins.; uses mat)

Standing trunk twist

Standing side bend

Hand walk out (moving plank performed on knees)

Side trunk raise (modified side plank)

Curl up (reverse abs curl)

KNEE, 16.5 minutes

Assessment (2.5 mins.)

There are two Knee tests. The first, which looks at hyperextension, involves being seated on the floor, legs straight out in front, feet flexed; heels should be off the floor with no pain. The second, examining active flexion, is a single leg lunge, performed with the back knee reaching the floor, again without pain.

Solution (14 mins.; uses mat and chair--also, Debbie is in socks rather than sneakers)

Leg extension (seated in chair and raising leg)

Partial squat

Calf raise (with hands on seat of chair)

Knee curl (rocking into partial front lunge)

Leg curl (lying face up and pulling heels in)

Single leg balance (holding for 30 seconds on each side)

Quadriceps hold (lying face down; holding each side 30 seconds)

Debbie recommends that to see results, you need to do the Solution for the given area every other day for 30 days. I have not yet done that, but because I am quite tight in the upper body, I have been alternating the Neck and Shoulder Solutions every day for about 1 1/2 weeks now, and it does seem to be helping me. I''ve had some low back and knee issues in the past as well, and I wouldn''t hesitate to turn to the routines on this DVD whenever I need some rehab work in those areas. This is an ideal DVD for regular exercisers, athletes, and others who may have some nagging issues and/or want to prevent any problems from getting worse.

We all have issues with our joints at some point or other and this becomes especially challenging when trying to lose weight or just get fit. I recently started slim in 6 (down 15lbs after 3 weeks) and discovered Total Body solution (TBS) just when I was starting it. Lucky day that I did. During the last quarter of last year I was unable to exercise due to back injury. So this year after being cleared to exercise in therapy, I was very worried about aggravating the injury. Thanks to the lower back and knee segments of TBS my back flexibility has increased, as has my endurance during back exercises. It does have some of the same exercises I did during therapy and a few more. I am doing it every other day and though I still get pain now and again, the intensity/duration is much less than before starting it. Highly recommend this DVD!

I have a lower back bulging disc and arthritis in my knee (thanks 80s hi-impact aerobics). I have been to physical therapy and chiropractic care to treat both. I decided I wanted a DVD to do at home so I wouldn''t have to keep paying to do something I could do at home.

So far so good many of the exercises are ones I have done in PT. I like Debbie''s upbeat personality and comments playing to Chad''s straight man personae. A few times when Debbie is doing the exercises they focus on Chad''s face instead of showing what Debbie is doing. It would be helpful if Debbie counted her reps, but you are supposed to work at your own pace.

I recommend this to anyone who needs to treat pain and weak muscles to prevent further injury. I''m hoping this will get back me back to my active form soon!

Body Gospel Sweat & Sculpt Workout DVD: Get Maximum Results in 20 MinutesWhile I love the creator of this DVD and truly believe she is an expert at her craft, this DVD was not worth the price and it truly is for the person who is not use to working out. Will I use it again? yes, in addition to another form of workout.

The tape series is good for people who are just starting an excersize program or who are out of shape. The music is very good.

Icebreaker Women''s Swift Pant

Icebreaker Women''s Swift PantI have long loved a wool sweater, but more recently discovered the magic of wool for workout wear. I''m not buying any more synthetic work-out clothes. These pants are very comfortable and don''t find them itchy at all. With the reflective strips at the ankles, these are definitely work-out pants. I am giving them 4 out of 5 for fit/style because it''s not a flattering shape on me. They are functional and comfy and only for work-outs so I am keeping them. I have a "pear" body type and tend to carry weight in my hips, thighs so it''s not a good cut for me. They are tight most of the way down the leg and a little extra fabric at the ankle. I think they would look better on someone with slimmer legs. I like the icebreaker villa style better for a flattering fit.

I recently fell in love with Icebreaker wool! I started with the crewe shirts and wore them rock climbing in Germany. I had purchased them for winter sports and after rock climbing on a brisk day I am sold! These pants are not itchy and as I am 5''4 3/4" the length is ok only because they taper at the bottom so they will not drag. If you are concerned about the pant length because you are short alterations are worth it! I know this is standard for this brand, the inseam is longer than 31". Enjoy!

Supermats 4''x6'' 1/2" Ultimat

Supermats 4''x6'' 1/2'' Ultimat4X6 rubber mats are sold at farm stores as "cow stall mats" for 40 bucks (they are actually even heavier than these and 3/4" thick rubber) or "trailer mats" (exactly like these, 4''X6''X1/2"). Ironically trailer mats are often more expensive ($42), despite being thinner, so I''d go with the super heavy duty cow mats (they do weigh about 100 lbs each so be warned). They make excellent weight lifting mats (I have my basement decked out in them). In fact all of the online reviews at my local farm store are for people using them as exercise equipment and not for cows (this is in Wisconsin too)!!!

The only downside of cow stall mats is that they can "off-gas" a bit and thus smell like rubber (this is because they are generally made from recycled rubber). From the description I have no idea if these mats will smell or not as that depends on the rubber used (recycled, etc.). However if you want to save money the easy way to get around the off-gassing of inexpensive cow mats is either to let them air out or seal the mats with a sealing floor wax (20 bucks for a jug of it at a hardware store, will do a dozen or so mats easily). Just wanted to let people know there are much cheaper options. In fact I wouldn''t be surprised if these are in fact "trailer mats" with a 200%+ markup.

I bought mine (about 10 of them) at Blaine''s Farm and Fleet in Wisconsin. However your regional equivalent should have them (tractor supply company, Mills farm and fleet, etc.). As a bonus, many cow stall mats are manufactured in the US (mine were manufactured nearby in Janesville, WI), so you may even get a chance to support a local economy and not China!

Great flooring system for a home weightlifting gym. It''s heavy and very dense, very similar if not the same type of stuff you see in most commercial gym''s. Heavy duty, takes dropped dumbbell punishment, and resists damage/cuts. Use a drywall T-Square as a guide, and put a new blade in a box cutter. Take several passes to cut it and take your time. It cuts straight and square for a professional look. I will definitely buy these again when I get a bigger room for the gym.

I purchased this mat and daily user. Heavy Duty and Stuff as Steel. Perfect for your weight lifting room. Ideal for under all your weighting lifting equipment. They are square cut so you can easy use 2 of 4 together to cover your entire floor. Go to hardware store and get a roll of carpet tape. The rubber is very dense and the diamond plate non-skid surface works great and looks cool too. This best fitness equipment mat on the market! You will not be disappointed. Don''t be fooled; This is NOT an exercise mat. This is Equipment Mat.

Purchased 4 mats for weight lifting area and to provide protective covering over tile flooring in my basement. I accidentally dropped two 50 lb dumbbells during a workout and tile flooring beneath was unscathed.

TKO Bench 824FID Flat / Incline / Decline Workout Bench

TKO Bench 824FID Flat / Incline / Decline Workout BenchThis was the exact bench that I wanted. Unfortunately, it came damaged in shipping twice. It was sent UPS and boxed poorly for such a heavy item. I tried to get Amazon to send me it in better packaging or through a differnt carrier, but I was not successful in doing so. So I returned the product twice and just purchased something locally.

I bought this for our gym at the resort where I work. It came undamaged and it was easy to assemble. It took less than 5 minutes to assemble. Everyone really likes it. Its is a great weight bench.TKO Bench 824FID Flat / Incline / Decline Workout Bench

Stott Pilates Essential Reformer DVD-3rd Edition

Stott Pilates Essential Reformer DVD-3rd EditionI found it useful, but I was surprised with a video directed to professionals and not to final user.

I expected a routine of workouts more than a guide for instructors.

The quality of images and general it is very good.

This is a wonderful tape for learning perfect technique. It is a workout, but doesn''t flow as quickly as I would like and they do reduce the reps to show a variations on exercises. It''s all good, but it is not a "turn your brain off and follow the directions" type of workout. Great tips about your form and great ideas.

I have the pilates allegro, very similar to the reformer. I have several DVD''s from which I''ve learned valuable information about technique as well as routines. This DVD, however, is my favorite. The instructor guides a student through exercises while providing detailed information about breathing, form, and all aspects of technique. I''ve got a personal trainer on DVD! This is the DVD I needed to hone my skills as an independent user of a sophisticated machine.

ASICS Women''s Favorite Short

ASICS Women''s Favorite Short, Black/Black, LargeThese are classic running shorts. If you''re looking for form fitting shorts, these are not for you. These asics shorts are on the baggy side, but very comfortable.

I love these shorts! I got them a few months ago and have been running with them ever since. Easy to wash quickly and the inseam isn''t long enough that they ride up the whole time while you''re running (note: inseam is about 3 inches). Lightweight and not spandex but fantastic to run in. I just need about 5 more of these and I''ll be happy.

Only complaint is with where the inner pocket is for keys since my car key is pretty big (right where the hip and leg met). If you turn the key sideways then it''s not so much of a bother when running. Not enough of a problem for me to drop it down a star.
