K-Swiss Men''s Super Tubes Run 50 Running Shoe

Pretty good shoe. Good cushioning and comfortable. This is my second pair that I use as cross trainers, lifting and some cardio. Comfortable with pretty good stability. True to size.

Broke down and grabbed a pair as I wanted to try the "tubes". Sizewise I wear a 12 and these fit OK. Little looser feeling in the heel compared to the reeboks verona II''s I picked up as well recently but once dailed in and running I didn''t have any issues. The laces are a bit short in my opinion and I would have liked to have seen them a few inches longer. Build quality seems pretty good, no loose threads or misfitting plastics. They look good as well. I went with the 50''s and their heel only tubes only over the 100''s and the full length tubes.

They were comfortable to run in but not as cushioned a feel when running as the aforementioned veronas. I tend to heel strike and am a bigger runner (6''3" 210) so I thought I would notice an effect from the tubes just having them in the heel (hence why the 50''s vs. the 100''s). There wasn''t one, that I perceived at least, but again running in them is very comfortable so I think they are providing some benefit. I tend to go 2-3 miles at a time and the legs, knees, and back feel good when I am done running in these. I have used Nike Shox''s in the past and Reebok Zigs as well and haven''t felt them at work either. The tubes themselves are very stiff and unweilding to the touch very much like the shox''s and zig''s. Feel wise I would buy them ahead of the zigs and they would be a toss up with the shox''s. In both those shoes the soles outlasted the uppers and inserts and I think these tubes will as well. Overall a good shoe that I like running in, which to me is a good thing. Nothing paticularly magical about them due to the tubes, but I would buy another pair in the future.

A nice black shoe you can probably get away with wearing to work.

I have no problem with long walks (5 mi. per day) in this shoe.

No foot or leg fatigue, a little wide so tighten up the laces. Otherwise I have worn these all day without any issues.

Vert difficult to find this shoe in stores.

Be aware that these run a little on the snug side. Apart from that, these are some of the most comfortable shoes I''ve ever worn. I have another pair of blue/grey that are over two years old and people still ask if they''re new.

I have only this one major complaint. They squeak loudly enough that unless there is significant white noise, you hear them every step. Otherwise they are comfortable and a good price.

Since making the above complain, I found out that it''s the insert, not the shoe itself, that squeaks. Just replace the insert with another insert and (for me at least) the squeaking stops.
