AquaJogger Active Water Exercise Buoyancy Belt

AquaJogger Active Water Exercise Buoyancy BeltMy knee with osteoarthritis was over worked with too much exercise (I''m on a diet that requires a lot of exercise) and I still needed to burn calories. I heard about jogging in the pool when you have an injury to your leg so I decided to try the aquajogger belt to help me stay afloat while I tried jogging in the pool. I can swim, but I''m not a strong swimmer, but I tried the aquajogger and I was amazed that I could keep my face above the water level and still jog in the deep water without having pain in the knee (one with osteoarthritis). At first I did not jog too fast but after 4 weeks of daily jogging in the water, my leg muscles have gotten stronger. With the osteoarthritis, I did not use my left leg too much since I would have pain. I''m 65 which I feel is the time for my body to fall apart, but with the aquajogger helping me to build muscle in my legs, I think that I''m not going to fall apart as fast.

I have a massage monthly and my massage therapist was amazed that my my legs now have muscles (before it was just flabby fat).

I water jog everyday and it has really help with my everyday walking and decreased the osteoarthritis (in my knee) pain. I would think that it''s not for everyone and you need to check with you doctor first, but if you have knee pain, it could help you decrease the pain (as it did for me).

Just to give you a little history on my knee pain: I had arthroscopic knee surgery 2 years ago and after the surgery, I found out the I also had osteoarthritis in my knee so the pain did not improve at all. I had the 3 shots (the fluid and I don''t know the name) in my knee and it helped a lot with the pain, but my knee was still weak and would experience pain if I over used it (so I did not use it much).

I bought it for aqua class, and it does give me support to do the aqua exercises. It is easy to put on and wear, and very light to transport.

I am a 5''11", 155 lb runner who''s been plagued with injury. I like this belt because it helps keep me upright but I still have to work a bit to keep the very top of my shoulders out of water. If you need more buoyancy, get a better model, but for me this one works very well. The construction is quality and it is not uncomfortable to wear for 30 minutes to an hour.

I would recommend this product to someone my size or smaller.

My physical therapist recommended that I get this product to help with back pain. I put it on and when I get in the pool, my spine is allowed to stretch out and the pain is alleviated while in the pool and I am able to move about and do exercises that I would otherwise be unable to do. Highly recommend this product. I even use it in the hot tub to help relax my back. 5 stars from me!!!
