1) You can work out with a class of students of diverse sizes and abilities.
2) Modifications are demonstrated throughout. This is one of the areas where this video really shines. The instructor and two students each demonstrate variations. The instructor is on a fitball, one student is on a fitball with a support ring, the other student is in a chair. Also, the dvd is marketed to "overweight or inactive adults" so you don''t have any of those ball exercises where you lay on the ball and support yourself with your hands!
3) A good value. There are two 30minute workouts on the video (beginner and circuit). There is a variety of exercises and they are easy to do. Besides the balls, using a squeeze ball, ball weight, donut seat and bar/stick are demonstrated. Also good balance in upper body and lower body exercises. Most chair/ball videos focus more on the upper body. Standing exercises are included in each workout.
4) A menu that allows you to choose to choose individual workouts or individual part of the body to focus on.
5) Good instructor cueing. Taralyn Jensen does a great job of preparing for each change in movment. She is a little perky for me but is motivating and gives very thorough explanations.
6) This video has the best Introduction section I have ever encountered! The "Ratings of Perceived Exertion Scale". I usually skip this but am very glad I didn''t in this case. Great info.
7) Sometimes the music is too loud. I usually have issues with the music in videos.
I hope this review motivates you to buy this one!
