The DVD starts with a nice warm-up with squats, stretches, and mini plyometics. It''s really well put-together to prepare you for the intervals to come.
There 5 10-minute intervals; you do each twice alternating right and left sides. You start with a "basecamp" to get ready, then an "ascent" which gets your blood pumping a bit, a "climb" that ups the challenge with moves similar to those in the ascent, and a 30 second "peak" with high intensity moves. I love this sequencing. As soon as I started thinking "this is way too easy" in the ascent it was time for climb, and right when I got used to the climb and was thinking "this isn''t so bad" it was time for the peak, which was so challenging I didn''t have the time to focus on anything but getting through it. And I felt awesome when I made it through a peak! There are so few workouts where I actually feel proud of myself for being able to do them.
This DVD differs from others in a few very important ways. For one, you do need the basecamp rest periods to collect yourself and get ready for the next interval. With other videos I get annoyed with the breaks because they interrupted my flow. The music is uplifting and helps encourage me to move on and have fun. And finally, for once there is an instructor who takes appropriate time on a cool down!
Compared to the first Peak 10 Cardio Interval Burn, the choreography is a little more complex. Still it''s not hard to follow, but I would strongly recommend previewing the video before attempting any of the segments. I feel like this one is a bit more kickboxing-inspired, which I like. There seems to be more twisting (core work). Also this workout has someone to show modifications for "peak" moves; this was missing in the first one. There is still a lot of jumping, so if that''s not something you enjoy you will need to take modifications.
If you bought and enjoyed the first Peak 10 Cardio Interval Burn, you want this one. The moves are different but reliably fun and challenging. Some things that have been added are burpees, plank jacks, and flying jacks. The kickboxing sequences are unique and slightly more intricate. There are a lot of knees and a few front, side, and back kicks. Punches are mostly jabs and crosses, but there are also a lot of low and high punches as well as some uppercuts and hooks. Overall there is a ton of variety to keep you interested and work every muscle.I really like Michelle Dozois and finished her 8 week peak 10 Fitness Challenge this past fall.I continue to use most of the DVD''s from that set, but I was getting a little bored with the same old moves. I ordered this one and have not been disappointed. As always, it is fast-paced with great music to keep you motivated. I think that Michelle gives good cues, and she helps keep you motivated. This DVD is not for beginners. The peaks usually require some sort of jumping (which you can modify or leave out) which means that anyone with knee problems, etc. should proceed with caution. However, after doing this DVD, I know that I have had a great workout. I like the fact that you do a series of 10 minute segments (5 minutes a side), each being a mini-workout in itself. I also like the fact that sometimes during a peak, Michelle stops and tells you that you can to if you need a quick break. I think that Michelle does a great job putting together a hard workout, and she keeps you motivated to push to the end.

Michelle has become one of my favorite instructors since I purchased two of her workouts this year. "Peak 10 More Cardio" is simply great--it''s fun, intense and over before I realize it. I believe I prefer it to the first "Peak 10 Cardio", because you seem to be moving more. (That one is pretty great, too, however.)This one is in my rotation at least twice a month; I have so many good ones to choose from! :-)

(besides the other 3 peak 10 workouts, which i own.) i have a hypothyroidism and need intense workouts to get any sort of results. basically i have to work 10 times harder than most people to lose a tiny amount of weight. so i really appreciate michelle for putting out these advanced workouts. i just started with these so i will update in a couple months to let you know if it has helped with the weight loss.Want Michelle Dozois Peak 10 More Cardio Interval Burn Discount?
I am not usually a fan of pure cardio, but this workout is excellent! I really love all of Michelle''s Peak 10 workouts! These workouts really work and get your heart rate up. I definitely recommend all of her Peak workouts as well as the Peak Fit System! Michelle is incredibly upbeat and positive. She helps to push you through the workout and it''s over before you know it. You feel tired as you go through it, but when it''s over, you feel amazing!!
