product is much better than my old slide, I have noticed one
difference. Namely, it is much harder to slide on this than
the old Body Slide. Exerting the same effort gets you about 2/3 of
the distance you would get on the Body Slide. Therefore, even if
you think you would need the ten foot version, you probably won''t.
I had found the Body Slide way too easy and too short at 6 feet,
and assumed I would start with about 7 feet and quickly go to 8 or
9 feet. Wrong! I am down to five feet and still using a bit more
effort than I was doing the old one. I now understand why some
users have talked about waxing the surface to slide easier.
I don''t plan on doing that as it seems to defeat the purpose. The
end stop ramps work reasonably well, and the adjustable feature is a must
have. I may update this review in three months, after I''ve had some
considerable time to use the product. Very good so far.If you are stuck indoors this is a good workout but not as good as roller blading. In fact, lunges are about the same. If you do get this I would recommend the 8 ft. You will rarely need more than that. Also this doesn''t roll up that well so you are going to need some place to keep it.
