CAP Barbell MT-2206 Puzzle Mat 6 pc

I ordered two of these to cover the 48 square feet I needed. Though the packaging was identical, the six pieces from one package did not fit with the six pieces from the other. When I called CAP Barbell about it I was told that they switched manufacturers and the dimensions changed and there was nothing they could do about it. I am returning both and going with something else.

I''ve ordered 3 of these mats to cover an area of our basement we have a workout bench on and a number of dumbbells etc. I''d give this product 5 stars but the 3rd mat I ordered was defective... its puzzle design did not match that of the previous 2 mats I ordered and it was not textured on both sides. However Amazon, as usual, was super easy to deal with as far as a return/exchange is concerned.

My only complaint with the product itself is that I don''t really have any traction on it barefoot. Shoes stick to it well, but as weird as it may sound, I workout barefoot at home more often than not. But that''s not an issue for most people.

We have tile floor under the mat and I haven''t tried completely dropping weights from more than a foot above the mat yet, but I feel pretty confident that if I needed to drop dumbbells or a barbell on it, it''d most likely prevent damage to the tile flooring underneath. I of course don''t feel the need to go and test this, but I think it''ll hold up just fine in the event we do drop a weight.

I recommend this product for anyone needing to protect their tile floor from a workout area in their home.

initially I was a little cautious of this one mainly due to the review mentioning poor fit; wasn''t especially concerned about the mentions of colors not matching because I bought this for getting stomped on, not looked at. I purchased two sets to furnish a workout room, considering expanding a couple more now that I''ve had it a but. Doesn''t shift much with lateral movement on a laminate floor however I did create a larger mat than what one package alone would cover. Fit is good for interlocked squares, a tiny bit iffy on the border pieces but they don''t have the benefit of three other sides to lock against. Padding absorbs impact very well and muffles sound; additionally all of my pieces matched in color if that is a going concern.

I bought multiple sets to piece together to create a large area. But colors and textures do not match, some pieces are a lot darker than others, and the texture on some is less detailed, appearing worn, as if it were used.
