I just love this little thing. It really targets back and ab muscles effectively. I have exercise balls of various shapes and sizes which give me good ab and back workouts, but this little peanut is deceptively challenging. I really like the DVD which comes with the kit too. The exercises are challenging and the video features some really nice balance moves as well. The instructor is good and gives encouragement without being loud or obnoxious. There are no other participants in the video (which I appreciate). The only problem I had with this product was the pump: it leaked air out as the ball inflated, and this made it impossible to fully inflate. The good thing is that the sturdy metal pin which comes with the kit could be used with another pump I own, so it wasn''t a problem. (The ball needs a pump that uses one of those tiny little pins, like that which is needed to inflate basketballs, footballs, etc.) But since the pump issue may have been a defect of my kit alone, I don''t want to ding the product as a whole (because I love it so much).

I am trying to get in shape and lose weight, so bear in mind that my perspective is that of a true beginner. The instructor is good; she is positive without being too fake and provides models of basic exercises with modifications to increase the challenge of each position. There are two short workouts on the DVD that can be done one at a time for 10 minutes each or a longer 20 minute workout if you combine them. The ball is not hard to use in most instances (except for one where you have to hold it behind your knee make sure you aren''t wearing loose-fitting clothing or it will pop right out). My only complaint is that the ball has an odor that reminds me of cat urine, but that is fading since it has been aired out a little bit. It isn''t so bad that I can''t still use it.

I bought this for stretching my upper back rather than ab work. Its a miracle! I put it on my spine (lengthwise) and it gently loosens the muscles in just a few minutes a day. I''ve even fallen asleep with it in place. My spine hadn''t "cracked" in 3 years, now I can get a marvelous stretch/crack anytime I want to. I cannot rave enough about this silly & wonderful product.

The peanut is a fabulous product! I am very busty, and have always had problems maintaining proper form for sit ups and crunches etc. The peanut supports the tail bone and elevates the spine, so as to cushion the normal crunch felt during standard sit ups; it also, not only helps target abdominal muscles, but also legs, thighs, and especially strengthening lower back muscles!!
