I had a spring bar similiar to this when I was stationed overseas during viet nam. It worked for me then as a workout tool to keep my shoulders in shape. Presently, my arms needed firming up and I remembered my old spring bar from my military days. So far it is working really well for me, Tension is about right, although there needs to be one with more tension for the "grunts" out there.
