Ader Sand Bag- (Medium) & Filler Bags- (1 Small, 2 Medium, 1 Large)

I bought this product around two weeks ago but due to busy work schedule and a hyper-active 6 mo old I just got around to using the bags tonight.

Pros: Inner bags are constructed very well. They do what they''re suppose to do, hold sand. I was able to fill each bag to the specified weight, seal the velcro fastener on each bag, and shake the heck out of them without losing any sand. If I had just bought the inner bags then this would be a FIVE STAR review. But....

Cons: The outer bag is TOO SMALL to hold the large inner bag. No matter what I tried there was no way the bag would fit. It was about five inches too long. I had to remove about 20# of sand in order to SQUEEZE it into the outer bag. So even though in the product description it says it can hold 100#, you can only fit approx 40# of sand--including one of the smaller bags. I kind of figured this out before even filling the 50# inner bag given the 60# tubes of sand that I used for my source of sand were significantly larger than the outer bag.

The reason I took the easy way out and bought this item instead of constructing my own sandbag was a time consideration. I''m very busy and don''t mind paying extra if it saves me time but I guess Ader taught me a lesson here. Hopefully this was an oversight on their part and it will get straightened out, otherwise save yourself the trouble and just make your own.

After contacting the supplier everything was straightened out. Apparently the med bag only holds 45#, not 100# as is indicated under product features. The supplier said that they would fix this error and sent me two 15# filler bags for free so I would have the required three bags to fill the sand bag. Since the product feature still has the old description I''m not sure if its safe to order this product. I wish Amazon would do something about it so others could order this product and know they are getting what they ordered.

Otherwise I''m very happy with my purchase and with the quick response from the supplier to my problem. In time I would definitely order from Ader again knowing that if there is another mix-up they would be more than willing to work with the customer.

Beware, I did not use this product. I sent them back right away. I didn''t even bother to try to use these once I opened the package and saw them. I''ve been a trainer for a number of years and I can usually spot good quality equipment. Compared to other sandbags I have seen and used these are pretty flimsy. The shell is so thin and porous that I could see through it, which does not bode well for this type of exercise equipment. The filler bags were just as thin. I didn''t see how they could possibly hold sand without leaking.
